Maan: huh... Yes mom...
Avantika: mai tumse kuchh puchh rahi hu...

Avantika : shadi ka muhurt 6 mahine k baad thik rahega na..?
Maan : aap logo ko jo thik lagey wo kijiye... Mujhe koi priblem nahi hai..
Excuse me... Ek important call hai...
Saying that he ran away giving excuse of call...
He reached garden and calmed himself...
So it was a dream when he shouted NAHII for shadi after 6 months making himself and Geet embarressed like never before and giving his mom another chance to tease him to death...
Maan : thank god it was a dream...
Just than he saw Rahul coming towards him whistling some tune to himself... All lost not even looking at him.
Maan : abb ye hi meri kuchh help kar sakta hai..
And he ran to Rahul...
Rahul : good morning buddy...
Maan : saale kaha marr gaya tha..? š”
Rahul : mara nahi tha š³... So raha tha
Maan : yaha ye log mere sapne ke hazar tukde karne me lage hai aur tu sapno ki duniya me khoya hai...š”
Rahul : abb kya hua..? Teri sagai tut gai kya š²
On that Maan punched hard on his stomach..
Maan : saale... Ashubh baat kyu kar raha hai... Mushkil se toh hui hai sagai... Aur tu tutne ki baat kar raha...
Rahul : to sagai sahi-salamat hai toh kya hua hai .?
Maan : shadi ki date...?
Rahul : kya hua...? Shadi jaldi ho rahi hai..?
Maan : did u swear early morning to irritate me so much that i would just want to kill u..
Rahul : tu rona band kar aur puri baat bata hai... Aise "fill in the blanks" khelega toh i will only say what comes to my mind..
Maan : punditji has proposed 2 dates for marriage... One is after 20 days and other after 6 months...
Rahul : ok... Toh..?
Maan : elders have finalized the latter one while i want it soon.
Rahul : itni jaldi bhi kya hai...?
Maan : what does that mean...?
Rahul : it means exactly the same that ur thinking...
Maan : u think its jaldi..?? I have waited 3 years...
Rahul : m not saying for u Maan.. Think about Geet too... It's too early fir her...
Firstly she's too young... Upon that she has no worldly knowledge... Bass poore waqt kitaabon me khoyi rehti hai... She is very innocent.
Maan : kal toh jungli billi ki tarah jhadga kar rahi thi mujhse (he murmured)

Maan : itni bhi young nahi hai.. She's 22 years and 22 days old.
Rahul : hours minute n seconds bhi bata do... š³
Maan : utna detail yaad nahi hai. š³
Rahul : ufff... Tu bhi na... Achha bol kya karna hai... How can i refuse to help u.
Maan : think of some reason to prepone marriage..
Before Rahul could reply Maan's cell rang... He took it out to attend but frowned seeing the caller...
Maan : mom kyu call karr rahi hai..? š
And he picked the call...

Avantika : lo sharma gaya... Ladke ko shadi ki date sunn kar sharmate hue pehli baar dekha hai maine...
And on Avantika's comment Rano gave Geet a teasing glance... while Mr. Handa had a mini-heartattack..
Mr. Handa (st): shadi ki date date sunn k itna sharma gaya... Then i think i will see Yash's kids before Geet's...
Then he cleared his throat loud feeling uncomfortable on his own thoughts š
Avantika spoke again...
Avantika : chalo beta... Abb tum hi decide kar lo shadi ki date... Waise toh tumko pehle chance milna chahiye tha.. Agli baar se dhyan rakhungi... U get to chhose first always before Maan... Chalo abb jaldi se batao tumhe konsi date chahiye shadi k liye...
Geet (st): babaji... Kaha fassa diya... What to say now..? I don't want shadi in 20 days.. Nor can i wait 6 months... Abb kya karu..
Wo bhi mujhe fassa k chale gaye
And se twisted her lips...
Avantika : bolo beta... Tumhari shadi hai.. U should be comfortable
Rano : haan Geet... Jo mann me hai bol do beta...
Finally Geet opened her mouth that too with so much difficulty...
Geet : umm... Dono dates thik hai.. First date 3rd July is ok things will be settled on time as mid-July k baad office me baht kami hot hai... Second date will fall around December that is also ok... As all the work for this year will wrap up by then...
And all were gaping her like "ye kya bol rahi hai"
Geet looked at the confused expression of elders and thought "kuchh zyada hi technical ho gaya, i should clarify"...
Geet : wo I'm talking about him... Office me kaam rehta hai... From July to November its very hectic..(mostly September me zyada kaam rehta hai.. Extending it to fit the situation š)

Avantika : bhaisahab bataiye abb kya vichar hai... Shadi ki date konsi fix karni hai..
Mr. Handa : 20 din me mushkil hai... 6 mahine baad ka hi thik lagta hai... Aapko kya kehna hai..? Arre Maan bete kaha reh gaye kaafi der ho gayi..
Avantika : mai usse bulati hu...
And she called him...
Avantika : Maan... Ander aao abhi.. Aise kaise utth k chale gai it looks rude...
She whispered sternly...
Maan : coming...
And he rushed in next second with Rahul..
Rahul : hey all... So aaj morning me mehfil kyu saji hai...?
But Maan pinched him on his hand..
Rahul : what..?
He hissed asking Maan...
Maan : dont hog all the lime-light I'm the hero here..
Rahul : what... š
Maan : be quite and second me in whatever i say...
Maan : sorry papaji wo client ka call aa gaya tha...
Rahul nodded his head like saying "yes sach me
Call aaya tha"
Mr. Handa : koi baat nahi beta.. Baitho..
(to Rahul) : tumhari behen ki shadi ki date fix ho rahi hai beta... We are confused... U suggest something..
Rahul : kya baat hai uncle... Kaisa confusion...?
And he told Rahul about the date thing...
Rahul : arre toh isme confusion ki kya baat hai..?
He got up from his place and settled beside Geet (where Maan was sitting before he went out)
And carressed her hair...
Rahul : meri gudiya ttoh abhi chhoti hai... Mere hissab se toh 6 months baad ki date...
On that his eyes went o Maan who was all ready ko kill him with his eyes...
Rahul : 6 mahine baad ki date kyu... Wo toh bahut late hai abb shadi toh karni hi hai... Abhi ya baad me kya farak padta hai.. Hai na...
He changed his word earning a confusing look from all... But Maan jumped in the conversation to save him from embarrassment..
Maan : haan... And she can help me in office too... It's going to be hectic this time as all articles are on leave...
He made some lame excuse..
Rahul : haan.. Maan sahin keh raha hai.. Waise bhi abb shadi toh Maan se hi honi hai.. 6 months k baad dulha badalne toh nahi wala hai...
He blabbered whatever came to his mouth...
All : KYA...??
That when he realized what he said...
Rahul (st) : abb ye Maan mujhe nahi chhodega... Mai iski shadi ki date me dulha change kar raha tha.. What went into me.. Babaji bachao..
Maan : RAHULLL...
Rahul : nahi... Bass mai toh keh raha tha ki shadi abhi rakh lo... 6 months postpone karne ki kya zarurat hai...
And he smiled sheepishly...
Mr. Handa : parr beta itni jaldi taiiyaari kaise hogi..
Rahul : come on unlce... Wo responsibility meri... U dont worry about that... Geet ka bada bhai hai na... Wo sabb handle karr lega..
On that Mr. Handa started to think seriously
Rahul (st): lagta hai jiju ka kaam ho gaya... Hmm but how can i leave them without teasing..
And he came near Mr. Handa..
Rahul : uncle sahi keh raha hu abhi shadi kar dijiye... 6 months postpone karenge toh mobile ka bill bedhega aur kuchh nahi..
He said in a serious tone, but his eyes sparkling with naughtiness...
Mr. Handa : mobile bill š
Rahul : haan... Abb ager shadi December hogi toh tab takk ye dono phone me busy rahenge ek dusre se baat karne me aur aapka bill badh jaaega...
On that all laughed out loud while Maaneet got embarressed remembering the last night call..
Maan (st) : uff... He's saying correct š³
All finally composed themselves controlling their laughter with great difficulty..
Mr. Handa : parr beta guests ko bhi toh bulana hota hai...
But he stopped in mid... As someone entered attracting all attention...
Pari : hey all ... Yaha kya discussion chal rha hai..?
Rahul : nothing... Tumhare kaam ki baat nahi hai...
Pari : kiyyyuunnn...?
Rahul : yaha Ms India contest nahi ho raha... Shadi ka discussion chal raha...
Pari : š aunty
Rano : kyu usse tang karr rahe ho...
Kuchh nahi beta maaeet ki shadi ki date fix ho rahi...
And she narrated her the incident.. While Maan held his head..
Maan (st): meri shadi š
Pari : oh... Baasss itni si baat... Simple hai... Make 2 chits write both the dates in them and pick one... Jo date nikli usme shadi...
Elders : what...!!! š²
Maaneet : š¤¢
Rahul : š¤£ waah waah... Kya brilliant idea hai... Pari mata ki jai ho... Waise for ur kind information yaha shadi ki baat ho rahi... Kitty-party k game ki nahi...
Pari : mujhe pata hai š³
Rahul : ohh really... I was just telling incase u would have missed that part when i said earlier..
He retorted sarcastically..
Rano : bass jhagda band karo dono... Waise dekha jaaye toh uska idea itna bura bhi nahi hai..
Avantika : haan... Abb Rahul keh raha hai ki wo arrangements dekh lega toh we can give it a thought...
On that Maan's face lit up..
Maan (st): last chance hai Maan... Grab it... Think like a CA... Isme no gadbad...

Mr. Handa : ye aajkl k bacchhe bhi na... Kya kya idea nikalte hai bhagwan hi malik hai.. Chalo abb home ministry se approval aaya hai toh chits bana lo...
On that Pari squealed and ran with paper-pen not forgetting to show tongue to Rahul...
But our Maan babu had different plans... He also excused and ran behind Pari escaping the elders eyes off course..
He reached near her and cleared his throat...
Pari turned around... Only to find shock of her life standing so close to Maan sir... Haayee
no words came out of her big mouth...
Maan : ahem...
That broke her trance..
Pari : ji sir... I mean jiju... Uff... I
But Maan cut her..
Maan : can i do this if u dont mind...?
And how could she refuse him... She passed the paper and pen to him.. And Maan made two chits... Praying to god that the one with earlier date is picked up, and handed them to Pari.
So finally the chits were ready... Pari brought the chits before all...
Pari : so who will pick it..?
Maan : let Geet pick it...
Avantika : hmm... I also want Geet to pick it..
Geet picked one chit with mixed feelings... Fear, excitement anticipation and what not..
But she didn't have the courage to open it so she passed it to Avantika aunty who was sitting beside her...
Avantika opened it... And all were looking at her with expectant eyes to announce the date... Specially Maaneet... Shadi toh unki hi hai na š
Avantika : so the date is...
Pari : come on aunty jaldi bolo... Suspense kholo..
Avantika : its July...
Yeah... Maan said mentally while a big grin came up on his face and Geet blushed hard...
Pari Rahul hooted loud... Soo soo finally its just 20 days to marriage...
Bahut kaam hai...
All got busy in discussing who will do what... And in that hustle-bustle Maaneet's eyes met... Talking in their own language.. Like speaking
Maan : so u chose the earlier one...
Geet : umm... She shied.
Maan : ready for marriage... Are u..?
Geet : umm... But
Maan : what happened..?
Geet : m scarred..
Maan : dont worry... M always there with u.. N mom will be there to guide u...
Geet nodded in yes...
Avantika : arre Maan suno...
And their talks got interrupted...
Geet looked down blushing... And that's when her eyes went to the other chit... She picked it up thinking what if she chose this one..?
And opened it... Only to get shockk of her life..
It said JULY tooo, upon that it was Maan's handwriting... Her eyes widened in horror... She started looking around but all were busy then her gaze stopped at him... She gestured in her hand and Maan understood from her expression what is she saying...
He winked at her... Making her more shocked, while her cell beeped with a msg from Maan..
