I was present when the Shahenshah gave vent to his grief. When waves of sadness and bereavement made him blame his throne for his woes. I lowered my gaze in respect and witnessed his real and deep anguish. It is humbling to see a great ruler acknowledge his inability to deal with a circumstance. He was looking for sustenance outside of himself and I felt he had taken a vital step, but where it would lead him I could not tell.

Then Jodha Begum Sahiba came upon the scene. She did not just stand, neither did she just witness, she bridged the distance between her and him. Standing by him she looked at the burning takht and she also saw a man bravely laying bare his soul. He said he was willing to forego all. No more did he want to associate with the power that has corrupted, that has demanded the loss of everyone he held dear. Something resonated with her. With tears she spoke fortifying words of comfort. Aap kabhi akele nahin hai Shahenshah She was willing to watch him break and not look away till he was strong again to face a new beginning. The new beginning that was yet unknown and so required a faith that anchors the soul. She would validate him in his vulnerable moments in a way that no outsider can. I could bear seeing one heart tested in the fire, but two hearts together strangely tested me.

As he poured out his feelings, I could no longer be there.Just as Begum Sahiba instinctively cradled him in her arms, I backed away and tiptoed out. I leaned against the wall outside, my heart now also lit with a tenderness so fragile. Behind me, at the very pinnacle of power, two people were wrestling with the cruel vagaries of rule and responsibility. But they also had such pliable hearts that could bow and acquire a new strength. Yes, I could understand them, yes, I could see them prevail by the grace of God. Because after the thunder is the calm and then the drenching storm.

The Fake Court Chronicler who has seen much but made sense of little...until now.

sidenote scribbled the next day: These events are part of a series of many that I have had to witness for record keeping purposes. Recent events have come upon the court in such a rush that I have been run ragged and am badly in need of a strong cup of tea. Gulbadan Begum Sahiba is on leave. Which only adds to my workload. But these are special times of change and I must keep my wits about me and record the transition in the mood and tenor of the court. It is not my intent to be overly emotional about matters of state. But the will, emotions and intellect must all co-exist in varying proportions depending on the day and the hour and a romantic imagination may have also played a part. I recorded what I saw. Let readers reach their varied conclusions.

Today for the first time ,after reading a thread ,I had tears in my eyes,Everybody makes beautiful threads here .And they are always imparting knowledge to many. But first time ,somebody wrote views about a particular scene by being a part of it,👏
It was so simple and yet so touching ..Paddy hats off to you.👏👏
Today my mouth had bitter taste by seeing CVs stooping to all time low by showing unscientific things to glorify evilness.
Where in the real world the god had descended on earth and everybody in India was celebrating his arrival but in reel world ,it was Satan playing havoc in the form of MA.
Those curses and their results didn't affect me but the way ,the TV czarina ,EK and her overcreative " creatives" changed the course of history and took creative liberty without even thinking that what effect it would have it on not so educated viewers.

Why do u want to worry about the curse re. Ignore and think of the fiery Jodha who gave back to mamanga. we have been waiting for this and we got it, so lets just enjoy that. The other day When Jalal punished Adham, instead of focussing on this we all went and focussed on the Precap where Jo was shown to be scared of Jalal.

B E A U T I F U L L Y W R I T T E N Pad Bear . Paridhi was outstanding today . I watched that one scene between Jodha / Jalal five times today . I simply love seeing this beautiful couple together .

They will travel TOGETHER in the journey of life . Jodha will be the SUNSHINE that will brighten his life and bring him out of despair . SHE will be the STRENGTH to his WEAKNESSES . SHE will be the one most unwavering POSITIVE influence in his life . SHE will be his CONSCIENCE in guiding him to the right path . SHE will be the PEACE that will calm his inner turmoil . She has already played a major role in enabling him to receive the title of Akbar . Now SHE will guide him to do justice to the title AKBAR .

thank you Sindhu. I was inspired by it from the day the promo aired. It was the only thing that kept me watching for the next few days. I am impressed with Jalal's simple honesty, his human failings and how he faces them. Jodha was born to withstand wave after wave of difficulties and overcame them with a fortitude that maybe only women have. It comes alive when they see their husbands in distress.

yes Rashmi, only simple will work for me now. How will I ever know what they went through? I can only guess, I can only lower my gaze.

in the face of goodness, evil has to take a back seat. we cannot allow TV to rob us of what we know to be true.

thank you for your sweet words.

Sindhu
NO curse or blessing can change anybody's fate. What is going to happen is gonna happen ,no matter.
I am not into it.I am worried by showing this what effect does it have on the less educated viewers who take seriously many things shown on TV.
So it is expected from the show makers to maintain some sanity while showing something.

lovely JAfan. I suppose this is what Jo was supposed to do, what she was destined to do in this show and finally she has stepped up. She will be unwavering, yes. I also must remind myself to fight the good fight always.
