paddy a beautiful write up! i want them to show more of such scenes where the depth of their relationship is more evident and i hope they are well executed and do not look forceful or half baked!

this is our hope yes. After all this is called Jodha Akbar. Let's hope they show a new stronger couple where the relationship is deep enough that it is also subtle. No more kow towing to everybody but realisation of a shared destiny that only they understand.

👏 Awesome writing Paddy..more than the scene, this post made me emotional..The scene was perfect..But as usual , CVs spoiled everything with next scene..I'm not disappointed with the scene, but i'm disapointed with the entire episode..

jais, I'm so glad you liked the simplicity. I don't know how else to approach this scene.

thanks Greeshma. I don't know why CVs did that. Did they want to balance the beauty with something beastly. Did they think some simple goodness and courage was too boring.

but they did justice to this moment and they did justice to their Jodha Akbar by making us able to connect with the story for even a few minutes. All the past days of JJ have now added and subtracted to this new bond. How the CVs take this forward is their decision.

Beautifully expressed Padbear👍🏼 the emotions and feelings

I read in one book that Agra fort had lot of ghosts which used to scare inmates and infants to death so most of all Akbar's children were born in FS or other places I was 😲 and read with a laddle of salt so now looks like CVs have taken the curse theory to show the infants death but the fact is earlier days the infant mortality(IM) was very high as there was no vaccination. And this was 16th century and lot of palace intrigues and harem politics jealousies also lead to MC and IM

thank you sunram.

well they must have believed in the power of curses back then because most royal families the world over took them seriously. And they attributed the high infant mortality to curses and spells in those days. So maybe CVs are telling this from the pov of sixteenth century norms and not ours.

it's just that, why did they have to cram all this into yesterday's episode. They have plenty of episodes to do this. Unless, this is the last we will hear of the curses till some months later.
