Sometime Ago
At Dawn
In The Arena
Jalal was grinning from eye to eye and decided to end this eyeing game'. He loved Jodha's expressions. They just went on to show how irresistible Jalaluddin Mohammad was, even Jodha; the most beautiful princess in the whole of Hindustan could not ignore him. It was such a boost to his already sky high ego.
He too was bowled over by her features. Without trying to impress him, with her careless attitude towards him, she managed to attract him to her like a flower attracts bees. Only, he didn't know what the honey was in this context. He decided to break the monotony. "Like what you see, Jodha Begum?"
Jodha was rudely brought out of her reverie. Jalal's obvious jib hit her hard and square. She realised she had made a huge slip now and it didn't matter who won the duel anymore. Jalal would mock her nevertheless. "What... ar.. are you say... saying? Like what? Let me... te.. tell you, I am really... not interested. Can we just get on with the practice?"
She fumbled like a child caught in the act of stealing a toy. Jalal smiled his characteristic smile and motioned her to begin. "I was waiting all the while. But you had some interesting things to see, I guess. Let us start." "Start, like this?" Jodha looked appalled.
"Like what?" Jalal asked innocently, supposedly not aware of what Jodha was saying.
Jodha getting thoroughly frustrated by this Jalal and his antics which were making her horny. She pointed to his bare torso and said, "Don't you think you should at least have some dignity in front of your bandhis? Why exhibit your possessions' in front of them? Are they for sale that you are determined to get the best bargain?" She barked angrily.
Jalal was thoroughly amused. "Takhliya". "Why Jodha Begum? May I know the reason for your sudden possessiveness for my possessions', as you call it?" He chivalrously walked closer to her while she flinched at the increasing closeness. "May I assume that you don't like sharing me with anyone else be it a mere bandhi? Not want to take a chance is it?" He commented victoriously.
many a time before in his ... well, half naked form but then she had always camouflaged the sensations she felt, and how well she had done that! With a sharp intake of her breaths, she tried looking away but in vain. She was breathing quite heavily now; heavy enough for Jalal to know the game was half won.
Jalal smirked inwardly. He was enjoying this so very much, God, he wished time could stop. On the other hand, Jodha was in a complete mess. Her feelings were all over the place. She wished this ordeal, yes, this was an ordeal, would get over soon. This was extremely difficult for her. Jalal, the most charming man in the whole of India, was standing half- naked in front of her. She had always hated him. A part of her still detested him. But she couldn't deny he had an amazing charisma.
She had no doubt whatsoever that every Begum and Kaneez of his wanted to sleep with him, not only because of their increased reputation in the controversial Harem but also because Jalal made them crave for him. They looked forward to his one glance, vied for a slight caress and died to share a bed with him. But Jalal never gave them what they wanted because very obviously he was Jalaluddin Mohammad. He did as he pleased. Only Ruqaiya Begum was unperturbed. She always remained unfazed, cool and distant. Jodha sometimes wondered if she really was completely straight... It was so abnormal for someone to be so uncaring towards a man who was beauty personified.
She came back to her senses when she felt someone's presence close to her. She had been so preoccupied in her thoughts about what those lucky queens got when they were Jalal that she hadn't noticed when he had crept behind her. So close, she could hear his breathing which was as haphazard as hers. He was now leaning in, his face in the crook of her neck, his nose teasing her neck. A few drops of water fell onto the base of her shoulder from his dripping wet hair. She HAD to move away immediately! The small percentage of rationale that had remained wary to Jalal's advances was screaming at her, asking her to get away from the devil in human form. But most of her senses were now held captive by Jalal's masculinity.
On the other hand, Jalal too was completely out of control. All his tolerance had taken a back seat now, that he could feel Jodha's delectable scent. Gosh, that rose and jasmine fragrance on her felt like the best in the world.
He moved closer to her, his head still bent towards her neck, his body now touching hers. She felt a jolt of current pass through her body. His bare, wet torso in direct contact with her skin except for her Anarkali suite, this was a physical torture. Jalal was teasing her. She knew it. And she was getting teased! Yet, she was completely helpless. She wanted to run away from there to the safe confines of her chambers but she couldn't move an inch. A small part of her, infact a LARGE part of her was enjoying this, wanted him to continue. She shut her eyes! To revel in those unanticipated alien feelings she was experiencing now.
Jalal couldn't see her face. Tut Tut. He pitied himself. How sad he was unable to watch those delightful expressions on her endearing face! He upped the tease' quotient to yet another level by slowly placing his palm on Jodha's shoulder. He was sure he heard a sharp intake of breath. He slowly caressed her arm with his palm, clasping her hand, feeling every inch of it... Jodha shuddered, her eyes still closed tightly. Jalal held her wrist and whispered in her ear.
"Jodha Begum, I don't think you are in control, my dear. It is high time we start the duel lest we should venture into unwanted territories."
Jodha's breathing became heavier if that was even possible. Why is he so close? There is no one around now. He could have said this from a little away. Her heartbeats palpable. This man was making her feel all those feelings she didn't know existed. He was making her realize her feminity. No one had had her going this way like Jalal.
What ... what are you... try...trying to... impl... imply???? The helpless queen stuttered. She could feel his racing heart beats. Their bodies almost touching. His well-toned abs were caressing her, well almost. She could hear his breathing which was quite heavy too. Is he affected by this too? She was losing control and she knew he was right. They had to stop this before it goes too far for her to retreat in honour.
Well, Jalal sure was. Jodha Begum was one of the most beautiful women he had met in a long time now. One that initiated those passions in him that were controlling him now. He was losing control. He did not want to. He wanted Jodha. He had wanted her from the moment he had set eyes on her. But, the games that they played throughout seemed more enticing now than having her in his arms. Jalal did not want those games to end for any reason whatsoever. The excitement, anticipation and sexual tension in the air between them would vanish then.
Jodha started when she felt the absence of his touch. She had wanted the moment to end, but now that it had, she wished it had lasted longer. She opened her eyes to find Jalal staring at her as if she was something to eat. For once she thought, maybe just maybe he would not tease her yet again. Then, she noticed the hint of a smirk forming on his face. Alas!
Without another word, Jodha removed her sword and lashed at him angrily. Angry not with him but herself for having given in. Taken by surprise, Jalal inched backwards but met her attack with a fierce come back. As swords clanked against each other so did their passion and emotions. Jalal was a fierce warrior. Jodha was no less but clearly she was at the receiving end this time. Jalal made sure his body came in direct contact with Jodha's as often as possible. His bare torso, touching hers, Jodha could all but give in to him then and there. Jalal hadn't underestimated Jodha. She was still as strong as before. Her senses had been affected too much this time around.
Finally, Jodha caught him unawares from behind trapping him between herself and her sword. "Admit defeat, Shehenshah. I won yet again. "
Jalal wasn't one to lose again. He took her completely by surprise when he hit back with his sword with a victorious smirk on his face. In the jolt, Jodha dropped her sword and inched slowly backwards to escape from his advances. She could move back no more when she felt the hard pillar behind her. Jalal stopped right in front when Jodha shut her eyes in anticipation of what she knew not. She felt the cold metal against the skin of her throat. "I won."
She opened her eyes to find Jalal gone...
