What an adorable sweet little film! I didn't have many expectations going in but I was charmed by it...a simple, sweet rom-com...better than a lot of crappy recent bollywood movies I'd say.

Things that stood out for me:

1) MR...duhh😆...not that I ever forgot but this man reminds me yet again why I fangirl so...he was so perfect for this role! So dapper, so charming! I LOVED his and Aahaana's text convos...good repartee b/w them.

Special mention for how A.M.A.Z.I.N.G he looked in the sangeet bit

2) The girl playing Aahaana...Auritra Ghosh...my bias for MR aside, she OWNED this film...so charming and spunky! And a good actress too! She lit up the whole film with her sparkling screen presence.

3) Good direction and editing...for a debut, the director did a pretty good job...and editing was on point too...to manage to tell their whole story in an hour...wish more such projects are funded and made!

Vishal Karwal stuck out like a sore thumb with his terrible acting and atrocious diction/dialogue delivery😆😆...but who cares...MR and Auritra Ghosh made this movie for me...the Nana-Nani were cute too!

Also the product placement bits were just🤣

I have to say that since LTL, this is probably the best role that MR's gotten to showcase his talent...Encounter didn't really have anything to it...

*Edited: Full movie is finally up on the MTV site! Link below for anyone else who wants to watch it in HQ :-)

The product placement was hilarious.. so random, i think i actually laughed out loud when she told him to try the Ponds for men at the coffee shop.
The actress surely stole the show- really natural in her dialog.
Mishal Raheja-- well, he sure was a site for sore eyes. Glad to see him in different types of roles. The other actor...no comment 🤔
My crush on Mishal was starting to fade (outta site/ outta mind)... but after seeing this, its back in full force (sigh) 👍🏼

Hey thanks for replying :-) I thought I was alone in my gushing...lol

Yes, the product placement was really terrible...but I guess since Ponds sponsored the movie, we had to bear that crap...still I felt sorry for MR when he had to LITERALLY model that men's face wash by washing his face with it🤣

It's been nearly 5 years since LTL and somehow this man just can't fade from our memory despite being largely MIA😆...this movie definitely reinforced my fangirling big time...what screen presence the man has...he deserves good material to do justice to his talent.

I was dreading a super cheesy rom-com but this was a sweet, quirky story...I loved it!

Anu it was nice to see your thoughts. I agree with all of them. I wish the telefilm was longer and the bond between Ranvir and Aahana was even more strongly established beyond the messages bit.
And the best part was the climax...when she leaves the phone to get married I could feel her urgency in wanting her phone. I liked how he proposed to her. 😆
I just hope Mishal gets decent stuff to showcase his talent. I can live with such telefilms. The chillar daily soaps wont be good enough for him unless another LTL comes along to do justice. I am also glad he played a normal boy next door character which moved away from his earlier intense roles. Shows he can take a normal character and still make it work.
PS: He looked gorgeous in the sangeet.

I would love to make more MR stuff from the movie but I dunno if MTV has uploaded the full film yet...wanted a clear print to use for making stuff.

Thanks, Ksh :-)

I guess seeing the limitations of a telefilm, the amount of interaction we got b/w Ranvir-Ahana was still pretty good...most films/shows these days don't even bother with that much...but with these two, the interactions still were fleshed out enough to show how they were drawn to each other...have to praise the writers for that...they got the whole urban/contemporary vibe down so naturally.

Haha yeah the climax was awesome...perfect for a rom-com...I LOVED the last bit when they are texting each other even though they can see each other standing there😆...MR's smile there *swoons again*😆

It wasn't really a boy next door character I'd say...he wasn't playing a simple sweet guy...lol...but yes it was simpler than his previous roles like Dutta and Aakash...no crazy emotional baggage😆...I had no doubt that MR would suit urban roles of such sort...his body language, his mannerisms are so POLISHED...they could easily cast him as a Prince in those Khubsoorat type movies too.

Yeah I can live with such films...actually watching this film vaguely reminded me of Pak TV shows cuz it was simpler in theme and having been pre-shot and edited, it was quality stuff...hope that other film of MR's with Nikhil Advani for the Zindagi Channel works out too.

I have to say that watching this film, I yet again wished he'd get some role on the big screen apt for him...such screen presence deserves the big screen.

Yes that last bit with both texting each other. So typical. 😆And his smile was aammaazing!
No it wasnt exactly a boy next door...more like someone with a major emotional baggage. Just his issues with dad I guess but even that wasnt made a big issue with him having a lot of angst like how it is most shows these days. 😆
I hope they have good actress opposite him in the Zindagi telefilm too. Someone like Sanam Saeed...if its an Indo-Pak venture.
Exactly...such screen presence deserves the big screen. And something deeper than Khoobsurat TBH😆Nikhil Advani is making lots of films with his PH and I hope Mishal gets lucky somewhere. Its a shame that he's not doing anything acting related...its really a viewer's loss.

LOL compared to Dutta toh Ranvir's emotional baggage was pretty light it seemed😆...Daddy issues still existed though😆...in a short film format, they can't hype most of the baggage I guess.

Is the Indo-Pak venture going to have actors from both sides? Or is it just a general film on Indo-Pak relations? Wish we had more details...but yeah Sanam Saeed would be good with him...

lol I spoke about Khubsoorat cuz it is the only recent movie I can think of with a Prince character...MR has such regal charm, he'd be ideal in the role of a contemporary prince...but no one seems to want to capitalize on it😆...maybe yeah Nikhil Advani can do for him when Anurag Basu couldn't do much more...since none of the star kids are dying to star in Nikhil Advani movies, he might give a chance to outsiders like Mishal...

Forgot to mention another bit where I died laughing...when Ahaana says to Ranvir that he needs to get laid😆😆...and funny that they even beeped out the word LAID on MTV😆
