AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thanks to all those who responded to my Note and supported me. I will continue both the stories and finish it for you all and for myself.

PS: This is my last update where I'll pm all on my list henceforth I'll pm or tag only those who respond and are genuinely interested in reading I don't want to force anybody! Don't mean to be rude but it really hurts to see the decreasing likes and comments.

[Maan's POV]

I have been out since last night just managed to speak to Geet on the phone for few minutes here and there but I'm glad that she understood the gravity of the situation and as always is supporting me. Her few soothing words just breathes in a new zeal in me! Dad and I were about to leave last night when Vicky too joined us, he had overhead Dad and was adamant to accompany us. We reached the hospital only to find Ayesha Khanna fighting for her life. Not that we really cared for her now but my instincts said that there was more to the story!

The jail authorities who got her admitted here informed us that she had banged her head in the wall multiple times and as all the other inmates of her cell had gone for dinner, they had no clue about the happenings or the reason for her drastic reaction. Dad was really worried and was pacing the corridor.

Sometimes Dad and Mom's behavior really surprises us, she was the very woman who is responsible for ruining so many lives not even sparing her own kin, still they worry for her! She is pure selfish and can go to any extent to implement her plan but today her sudden suicide attempt doesn't actually makes sense to me.

If this is her new plan to gain sympathy from us then...

Finally the doctor emerged out of the emergency room after attending her and putting an end to all our confusions and doubts he informed us that she has lost a lot of blood and was in a very critical condition but even in her semi-conscious state she has been mumbling to call for Singhania Uncle (Commissioner of Police) and Rajiv Khurana. Her suicide attempt and now wanting to meet her sworn enemy was ringing the warning bell in me. The Dr also added that inspite of giving her heavy sedatives she isn't relaxing, not having any other option left he requested us to meet her once.

The moment we entered the room Ayesha Khanna removed her mask and struggled to voice out something, the Dr tried to calm her down but she was getting all the more violent. Dad sat beside her on the stool and tried to calm her down and surprisingly it worked...she relaxed a bit. Commissioner Uncle too joined us in, having us around she spoke out with much difficulty that Vikram had planned something big against Pari which will have her arrested, she also added that Vikram has bribed many guards in the jail and all of them work for him. Ayesha narrated us all the happenings at the jail during the dinner time and how Vikram challenged her that non would be able to save Pari this time from his master plan. Having no other means to contact us as most of the on duty guards worked for Vikram, this was the only way get out from their clutches and warn us about the upcoming storm. Pleading to us to save and protect Pari from Vikram, Ayesha Khanna collapsed on the bed, the Dr requested us to leave the room immediately.

The facts Ayesha Khanna stated had left us all astounded!

We were all shocked and skeptical about the information! How were we to trust this woman but then taking such a big fact lightly would also prove suicidal! Dad was sure that she wasn't lying and the first time even I felt her eyes spoke truth! A woman like Ayesha would never try to harm herself for any of her plan, but the fact that just to pass us this vital information she had endangered her life couldn't be ignored. Vicky too disclosed to us how Dev had repeatedly warned him about Vikram's dirty intentions for Pari back in the jungle.

Be it true or false but right now we had to safeguard Pari knowing that the scoundrel was very much active and conspiring against all of us from the jail, we can't take the situation casually. It wasn't long before CU's phone buzzed informing us that an under construction flyover had collapsed, this was one of the prestigious projects of the city and Khanna Cements were the sole suppliers of cement here.

Now all pieces of the puzzle fitted perfectly!...So this was Vikram's plan!

The flyover collapsed, all the people involved in the project will be detained for inquiry and the fact that Vikram had conspired against us so no points for guessing he must have already planted enough proofs against Pari, who was the current MD of Khanna Cements. Friday midnight the flyover collapsed, weekend the courts are closed and the coming Monday was a public holiday that means Pari will be detained in the Police Station for three whole days.

Bloody ******* had trapped us all real badly with not much room to escape!

CU was swift in his action instructing his officers on the phone n those here at the hospital to closely guard Ayesha Khanna. We looked at him in hope and he gestured us to accompany him. Once in the lift he spoke out that once the official inquiry starts there was very little he could do for us as he was bound by his duty and would have to detain Pari for inquiry, but unofficially he did hint us to keep Pari away from here for the time being.

While Dad rushed to Khanna Cements office to take control, I immediately called Aadi to arrange for our private chopper so that Vicky n Pari are out of here before the media n officials take over. And I headed to the site to get my hands on the smallest ever detail which could help in rescuing Pari out of this mess.

Vicky had managed to lure Pari in accompanying him to Aashiana in the middle of the night citing an excuse to make arrangements for my surprise weekend date for Geet. I was relieved that Pari was away at Aashiana thereby ruling out all possibilities of her being detained in police custody for the weekend. I constantly kept Geet informed of my whereabouts not wanting her to panic. Then concentrating on my task at hand and thankfully due to the support of CU and his trusted officers I managed to get my hands on some very important evidences.

It was midday now, Aadi and I were on my way to the press conference where CU would be addressing the media shortly regarding the mishap. Dad and Nani (Pari's nani) were already there at the venue representing Khanna Cement in absence of Dev and Pari. Arjun would be joining us soon with required paper work.

PRESS CONFERENCE VENUE

[Rajiv's POV]

"Rajiv press conference shuru honewala hain Maan ab tak nahi aaye, hume bahot fikar ho rahi hain, Dev ka bhi kal se koi pata nahi hain, unka phone bhi out of coverage area hain, pata nahi ab kya hoga!" Badi Maa rued.

"Sab theek hi hoga Badi Maa aap fikar mat kijiye...main abhi Maan ko phone karta hoon" I tried to calm her anxiety and was about to call Maan when I saw him enter the hall. There was too much chaos and all the media was pouncing at him but his guards kept them at a distance making way for Maan. Before I could inquire further Singhania stepped in to address the media.

AASHIANA

[Vicky's POV]

Only I know how I have managed to keep Pari engaged in these stupid conversations assuring her that soon all the required items will reach us and we will decorate the house n leave. I even had to sit all through a weirdly romantic hindi movie so that she is distracted for sometime. How am I suppose to manage here for another two days. Thankfully Annie, Meera appeared normal n didn't blurt out anything when Pari spoke to them sometime back.

Having tried everything I could do to distract her since morning, now I somehow convinced her to prepare some light lunch for us as I was really feeling hungry and luckily she agreed and left.

"Phew!...Relief for sometime...Pari khana bana rahi hain tab tak main news check kar leta hoon, press conference ka bhi waqt ho gaya hain."

I switched to a news channel where constantly the headlines were flashing accusing Khanna Cement to have supplied low quality cement resulting in this major mishap. It would have been better if I had shot dead that scoundrel Vikram that very day in the jungle, not giving him any chance to create this mess for us!

"Toh iss wajah se tum mujhe yahan laaye ho...peeth dikha ke...bhaga ke...chup ne ke liye!" Pari burst out at me, her sudden appearance back here stunned me for a moment, I tried to voice out something but...

"Not a word Vicky! Yeh sab log meri Company ko, mere Dad ko, Bro ko accuse kar rahe hain, hume be-imaan (dishonest) keh rahe hain aur tum mujhe yahan bewakoof bana rahe ho."

"Subah se jhooth pe jhooth bol rahe ho aur abhi bhi agar main tumhe lunch ke liye bulane nahi aati toh mujhe toh pata hi nahi chalta ke aakhir hua kya hain."

"Aur jab humne koi gunaah kiya hi nahi hain...toh main kyun darr kar apna mooh chupaoon. Main abhi wahan jaaungi aur khud iss problem ka saamna karungi. Apne hisse ka sach bata kar Khanna Cement aur Dad ka naam kharab nahi hone doongi! Hum abhi wapas jaa rahe hain...Vicky." She declared.

"Aur tumhe lagta hain tum kahogi toh sab tumhaara kehna maan lenge...hain na." I countered sarcastically.

"Pari tumhare sach ki koi value nahi hain jab tak hamaare paas koi solid proof na ho...Tumhe kya lagta mujhe bahot accha lag raha hain yahan iss tarah chup kar rehna...NAHI!"

"Lekin iss waqt hamaare paas aur koi choice nahi hain. Can't u see that...this is god damn conspiracy against us...against you! Main bhi apni marzi se yahan nahi aaya hoon Dad aur Bro ne bheja hain... just to keep you safe! The moment you step in Delhi they will arrest you, teen din court bandh hain aur ek baar tum arrest ho gayi toh phir hum kuch nahi kar paayenge...teen dino tak tumhe police custody mein hi rehna hoga...samjhi tum." I dragged her near the TV and pointed out.

"Dekho yeh low quality ki cement bags hamaari site pe kahan se aaye...jab Khanna Cement ki har bag quality control test se pass hokar hi despatch hoti hain toh yeh kaise ho sakta hain...Socho Pari aur phir react karo. Hum bhaag nahi rahe...We are just buying some time! Tuesday ko court khul ne se pehle hum Delhi mein honge aur tab hum judge ke saamne apna sach batayenge. Just trust us!" I urged her.

"Yeh sab meri wajah se hua, main Dad ke naam ko sambhaal nahi paayi...meri hi laaparwahi (carelessness) ki wajah se aaj..." She burst out in tears. Getting a grip over my irritation I slowly held her and made her sit on the couch hugging her I calmly spoke.

"Aisa kuch nahi hain Pari...yeh ek saazish (conspiracy) hain humaare parivaar ke khilaaf...isme tumhaari koi galti nahi hain. This plan was implemented with the sole aim to target you as they very well know that this will be a mighty blow to both Khurana's and Khanna's and we can't let that happen...can we?" She nodded in a no.

"Tum yeh kyun nahi sochti ke waqt rehte hume sach pata chal gaya hain aur luckily kal raat ko hi humne flyover ki site se saare workers ko dusri site pe shift kar diya tha, to meet the deadline there. Issliye koi major casualities bhi nahi hui hain sirf kuch logon ko minor injuries hui hain."

"Vikram ne bahot acchi planning ki thi Pari...aur agar woh kaamyaab ho jaata toh hamaara bahot nuksaan ho jaata, kitni jaane jaati (deaths) lekin Bhagwaan ne hamara saath diya hain aur zyaada bura nahi hone diya. And believe me Bro koi na koi raasta toh nikal hi lenge."

"Pari apne Maan Veerji par vishwaas karo woh Khanna Cement or Aman Uncle ka naam kharab nahi hone denge." I assured her.

"Lekin Vicky, mere Bro (Dev) kahan hain?" Pari suddenly queried.

"Pata nahi Pari... Dad ne abhi kuch der pehle mujhe bataya ke Dev kal se kahin chala gaya hain aur uska phone bhi nahi lag raha hain." I reluctantly informed her.

"Mujhe bahot darr lag raha hain Vicky!" She hugged me tight crying her heart out and I felt so helpless not able to be of any help to both Pari and my family in this time of need.

Suddenly the news reporters voice called for our attention as the press conference had begun. CU addressed the press giving them the details of their first round of investigations done. He also replied to their various questions calmly. When suddenly all attention shifted towards the door and we could see Bro along with Dad and Nani, Arjun and AadiBhai entered the hall . The reporters started pouncing on them all with their questions some even accused CU of doing personal favors to our family by not having arrested Pari till now.

CU sternly declared that he never mixes his professional and personal lives and relations. Bro took permission from CU to clear out certain facts while few of CU's officers who had accompanied Bro walked up to CU and were discussing some details. Bro walked upto the dais and spoke out.

PRESS CONFERENCE VENUE

[Rajiv's POV]

The conference had heated up as media started accusing us and Singhania to have teamed up and were helping the Khanna's . They went ahead and said Pari and Dev were deliberately missing from the scene to avoid their arrest. Dev's previous folly too was mentioned thereby putting Khanna Cements in a tight spot .

Though Singhania sternly declared that they would punish the guilty who so ever it was but still the media wasn't satisfied specially absence of both Pari and Dev had weakened our position. Maan urged Singhania to let him speak to the media and handing over the mic to Maan, he made way towards his officers who were with Maan at the site since today morning.

Mixing no words Maan spoke out.

"Hello everybody,

I, Maan Singh Khurana with due permission of Mr Rajiv Singh Khurana and Mrs ShardaDevi, in absence of Miss Pari Khanna and Mr Dev Khanna speak to you as a representative of Khanna Cements. First and foremost let me clear out this fact that Miss Pari Khanna, The MD of Khanna Cement is currently out on an official tour and by no means is running away from her responsibilities. Secondly as you all know Mr Dev Khanna is still recovering from a severe accident but will be here very soon."

Maan's statement made both me and Badi Maa wonder did Maan know about Dev's whereabouts but knowing Maan and his trait to keep things to himself...we needed to wait . I looked back towards Maan as he continued.

"I would like to remind you all that the black marketing of Khanna Cements fiasco a couple of months ago was just personal misunderstanding which was unnecessarily blown out of proportion. I thereby clear out this fact that the accusation hailed on Khanna Cements to have supplied sub standard quality cement for the flyover is purely baseless and untrue. " Before Maan could continue the media started bombarding him with questions to which Maan calmly stated.

"We have actively cooperated in all the official inquiry regarding this matter and also handed over all the necessary and related proofs to the authorities. I would also like to remind you all that from generations OUR companies have always believed in fair business maintaining quality and honesty in all our projects. Not wanting to interfere further in the official matter I rest my case."

Handing over the mic to Singhania who then announced about vital breakthrough in the case. Maan sat beside me blinking his eyes in assurance relieving both me and Badi Maa.

Singhania announced that their team of experts have found traces of explosives in debris and even on leftovers of the flyover, this proves that the flyover hadn't collapsed due low quality material but was a result pre-planned attack on this prestigious project of the city. The quality control official too stated that the gunny bags found at the site didn't belong to Khanna Cement as all authorized Khanna Cement gunny bags bear a distinct seal only after passing through all the required quality control tests whereas the seized bags at site lack the same.

Finally Singhanai concluded that the mishap wasn't a result of any lapse on the part of Khanna Cements.

I sighed in relief!

But now the questions had changed as the media was interested in who and why had they conspired against Khanna Cements. The doubts of media were still not cleared as they queried regarding the actual culprits. Before Singhania could continue Dev barged in alongwith Yash and some officers dragging few hand cuffed men. Dev walked up to the dais and requested Singhania to allow him to address the press to clear out all accusations hurled on their Company and family. Singhania handed him the mic and Dev spoke.

"Sorry everybody to keep you all waiting but finally we managed to nab few people involved in this crime. I, Dev Khanna would like to clear out facts regarding this mishap."

Pulling out one man from the group of people Dev stated.

"This is the man who had actively been a part of this entire conspiracy. He is the Site Manager who had teamed up with our rival Mr Vikram aka Andy and implemented the whole attack clearly with the intention to frame our Company in this case." Dev then turned towards Maan who nodded in affirmation.

The lights in hall were dimmed and Aadi switched on the projector as the video started playing on the screen while Dev continued.

"Here is the CCTV footage of the site godown where you all can clearly see how our authentic cement bags were replaced with cheap quality cement under his supervision and one of our loyal employee has also recorded their entire conversation."

The second video clearly brought out the entire truth of how the guards were drugged and the material was replaced so that they could effectively implement the whole plan. Sadly the flyover couldn't be saved in time but both Maan and Dev had managed to bring out the entire truth. Badi Maa eyes moistened seeing change in events as Dev concluded.

"I would like to thank Mr Maan Singh Khurana for all his support and the entire police force who helped us in busting this attempt to defame our Company and my Dad's name. Lastly I would like to mention Khanna Cements indulges in no malpractices and always aims to deliver the best!...Thank-you!"

The press conference wrapped up on a happy note for our families though legal formalities were yet to be fulfilled but Arjun had effectively handled the matter in such a short time. I felt so proud of my boys today but what touched me the most was Maan and Dev had teamed up together and not only did they save Aman's name from being tarnished but had managed to get Pari out scot-free in the matter of some hours from this entire mess.

Aparna will be the happiest today!

Before I could call Vicky to inform him about the happenings here my phone buzzed his name flashing on the screen. I picked up the call and Pari spoke out.

"Dad kya ab main wapas aa sakti hoon?" I couldn't help but smile at her innocence.

"Aa jao..." I allowed and she squealed in happiness.

We were almost done with formalities and for remaining ones we needed Pari here. The Police had managed to nab most of the key witnesses and evidences against Vikram and also had caught hold of those corrupt guards with the help of Ayesha's statement n CCTV footage of the jail. Finally the ordeal had ended!

I called up Aparna who was still at the hospital to inquire about Ayesha's condition. Aparna informed me that she was leaving for home as Ayesha was still unconsciousness due to heavy sedatives and the Dr assured her that they would keep them updated of Ayesha's condition.

I discussed the same with Badi Maa who agreed to head back to Khurana Mansion as Naintara would be anxious and tensed, though we were sure that with Maa (Savitri Devi) around there was no need to worry but we needed to head back home and handle the situation tactfully as both Dev and Pari were still unaware of Ayesha's condition and we had no idea how they would react on the same.

Though I was skeptical about Dev agreeing to accompany us back to Khurana Mansion but Badi Maa somehow managed to convince Dev. Reluctantly Dev gave in for the sake of Pari and Naintara.

FINALLY THE STORM HAD SETTLED AND BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK WERE RETURNING HOME!

The next part will include how Maan and Dev managed the whole thing and their interaction now.

And ofcourse it will be MSK dealing with preggy Geet and the villians!
