I have been watching quite a few Pakistani TV shows over the last couple of years.
There are somethings that catch my attention right away.
This is not about comparison with our TV soaps and programs. Its not about make up/reality depicted/background music/slow motions etc.
Its about what is different in their regular lives (brought to us by their shows) and you notice it, in a sweet way.

I'll share some of the stuff I've noticed.
- The wife calls her husband by 1st name! I love that. I think its so nice to hear it that way, other than "sunte ho?" "____ ke papa" 😆 This is across all generations, even like 30 years ago set ups.

The other small things that catch my attention is in the language. Like we have Hinglish here, I don't know what the mix of Urdu and English is called, but these are what have caught my notice:
- most of the times they use the word "job" in their sentences. "Mujhe job dhoondna hai" 😊
- and whenever it comes to picking up someone, its used like "usse pick kar lena" 😊

Are there any such things that you guys have noticed?

most of the actors are extremely talented and competent , they don't need loud back ground music to enhance their performance, their scenes look very authentic and believable also they fit their roles perfectly. so must say that the actors are quite versatile. plus the sweetness of urdu language impresses me a lot. even if the characters fight , they fight in a very decent manner 😆. not to forget their shows have a proper story line and they don't drag

I love the reality aspect. No exagerated stuff and nothing OTT.
As you said the words and language. I love urdu, it sounds so poetic to me. <3 It's adorable to hear them say things like "Jaldi karein na" 😳

When they talk, they are completely like how we speak. I can add Hindi, English and French in my sentence and it still makes sense 😆

There's the subtle romance, and normal convos and scenes also which makes a great difference. 😳

Nothing over the top, language is beautiful, simplicity I think old school of dramas where best when content was good rather than just shosha which we see in Indian dramas loud music, video editing with long pauses on facial expression of each character. Music is not loud but relevant. The shows reminds u of the olden days where dramas on doordarshan used to be like this high on content which would be wrapped up in a limited time.

there BGs are nice amazing serial OSTs the best thing
all characters have there share to perofrm they don't give filler episodes
serials have limited episodes so if you don't like it not to worry because it will end without dragging
the beautiful languagae of Urdu the pronounciation resemble with Arabic

Its approach to real life characters where you can identify with . Language is no problem as we also do not speak pure Hindi and thats quite tough . So similar like us and as you said calling by first name , that also caught me . i just like that . where is the difference when its only 60 odd years that has separated but traditions , culture , values are same . Pak shows are not over the top with mellodrama the ones i have seen . more about people we find around us . No glycerine factory , heavy jewelery and more i like about that actors are very talented that also because dragging is not there, story is told in limited episodes .

I love their content, style of using music, impeccable acting, simple yet very deep, meaningful dialogues, no OTT settings, the fact that actors dont stick to only one genre and the fact the shows dont drag there.

Got the link here from the Maat thread😊

Other than all the points everyone has mentioned above one thing which struck me when i watched my first Pakistani show was that they do not wear burkhas! I think I have seen muslim women in India wear burkhas more often than the Pakistani ladies. And it has nothing to do with the class to which they belong either. They cover up their heads but dont bother with burkhas. That had been a pleasant surprise. And they wear sarees too! Now please dont laugh but I had expected them all to be in salwar suits (or as i said burkhas). My presumptions sound silly even to my own ears now but well...😆

Another wow point is that women work; poor & rich, married & unmarried, old & young. While in almost all our shows we have girls sitting at home at the end of the 7th phera it was refreshing to see women go out & work in zgh, daam, behadd, etc.

The language/ dialogues are very rich and I think that makes it pleasing to the ears.

And speaking of Urdu-English usage, I found a peculiar usage in ZGH, not once but quite a few times and dat is " mujhe excuse karna hai" as in wanting to apologize. Dat's such an unusual usage I hv come across and if it had just been spoken by one person dat I wld hv assumed it to be a way of giving a distinctive characteristic of dat person, but it was used by different ppl at different occasions.
