So, this series is at #17. Can we get a decent turnout today? GHAYAL hasn't been talked about to much on this forum. Sunny Deol was great in this movie and Raj Kumar Santoshi proved he is an excellent director. The movie won lots of Filmfare awards. Please share your thoughts on Ghayal.

I love it.

Tour de force performance by Sunny Deol! 👏

Amrish Puri is so awesome as that ruthless yet classy Balwant Rai. The scenes of him playing piano madly and that aggression in his eyes as he goes about playing...sight to behold.

Only he knew how to look like a storm in human form without ever hamming.

Om Puri is so sophisticated as the cop.

My favorite revenge film from 90s!😊

Jis jis ko apni jaan pyari hai woh yeh jagah...khali kar do...What intensity in Deol paaji's eyes!

And of course...utar ke phenk do yeh vardi dialogue.

Nobody could portray raw unbridled rage after Bachchan as good as Sunny.

I never miss this film when it's shown on TV.

Meenakshi has a small role but I like the facts that she is no bimbo or item but a gutsy woman who lives on her own and is a fearless journalist who writes openly on crimes of Balwant Rai.

It is a good comment on how criminals are not born but made.

Villain and hero have even battle. And villain is never a mere caricature unlike today's films.

A good success for Dharmendra as a producer. Vijeta films was actually doing much better than ABCL and others.

These guys are too underrated.

Yes it was. The National Awards (it won National for best popular film providing wholesome entertainment alongwith special jury award for Sunny Deol) and wins at Filmfare back then are proof.
