I am just so glad that u r back and everthjing is fine at your end now... I don't know why but when u completely vanished without any note then I just knew that its hit something to do with grand father and prayed abt his well being.

I am just so happy to read the next part that I just found it fabulous... Khushi and Arnav r continuing their journey of togetherness and understanding each other, they have come a long way and both have learnt a lot abt their relationship and how to make it more meaningful and beautiful.

Part 101

Post breakfast,Khushi did her best to convince Arnav to change his mind.
Arnav: Maine pehle hi kaha tha-hum pehle cruise liner ko explore karenge,phir jahaan jaana hai wahaan jaayenge.
Khushi: Ha,pataa hai! Par Arnavji,aap khud hi sochkar bataaiyye,kya hum yeh hi kaam kal nahi kar paayenge?
She continued,not allowing him to answer.
Khushi: Ab dekhiye, kal toh jahaaz Le Havre k liye chal padega. Phir toh hum sara din iss hi jahaaz me bitaayenge! Toh..
Hum itminaan se cruise liner me ghomenge! Aur aapko humein jo kuch dikhana hai woh aap dikhaiyyega. Hum bilkul manaa
nahi karenge! (holds his hand)Par aaj baahar chaliye na! Mausam kharaab hone se pehle kyun na hum iss sheher me ghoomkar aayein?
Arnav(nods): Fine!
Khushi(elated): Yeh hui na baat! (kisses his cheek)Chaliye,abhi nikalte hain!
Arnav: In that case,wildlife sanctuary jaane ki taiyyaari kar lo!
The smile is wiped off Khushi's face.
Khushi(mutters): Isse kehte hain aasmaan se tapke aur khajoor me atke!
Arnav: What?
Khushi: Kuch nahi!
Arnav: Sunglasses aur umbrella dono le lena. Yahaan ka weather is.. sort of unpredictable. Kab kis ki zaroorat padegi yeh keh nahi sakte..
Khushi: Theek hai.
She was about to fetch her handbag when Arnav called her.
Khushi: Ji,boliye?
Arnav: Wahaan jaane se pehle main tumhe kaheen aur le jaana chaahta hoon..
Khushi: Kahaan?

When they entered the lift,Arnav surprised Khushi by pressing the button for the topmost floor.
Khushi: Baahar nikalne ka rastaa toh neeche hai na?
Arnav: Ha,par hum chatt par ja rahe hain.
Khushi: Par..
She stopped when the lift halted at one of the floors & a few passengers got inside.
Khushi glanced over a lady's shoulder to look at Arnav.
He was looking straight ahead & his face was expressionless.
Khushi(thinks): Inhe achaanak chhat par jaane ki kya soojhi? (clicks her tongue)Ek toh kuch bataate bhi nahi hain!
A passenger turned to her upon hearing the click of her tongue. That made Khushi conscious & she averted her gaze to the floor of the lift,where it stayed till they reached the destination.
Arnav: Chalo..
The uppermost deck was totally empty and quite large when compared to the rest of the decks,which Khushi had seen so far.
It had 5 canopied loungers on one side & a small terrace garden on the other side.
Arnav held her hands & placed it on the deck railing.
Khushi: Yahaan kya dikhaane k liye laayein hain?
Arnav: Titanic..
Khushi(frowns): Kya?
Arnav: Tumhe Titanic ka iconic scene yaad hai? Woh hi jisme hero aur heroine Titanic k stern par baahein phailaakar khade hote hain?
Khushi: Ha,bilkul yaad hai! (reminescent smile)Kitna achchha scene tha na woh? Aur woh dono ek doosre k saath kitne khush the!
Arnav: Right! Jab hum hot air balloon me the tab tumne mujhe apne filmy wish k baare me bataaya tha..
Khushi(interrupts): Aur aapne woh ichchha poori kar di thi,woh bhi apne andaaz me!
Arnav(nods): Toh maine socha ki cruise liner ko dekhkar tumhe Titanic movie ki yaad aa gayi hogi! Aur subsequently tumhe yeh scene bhi yaad aa gaya hoga! Aur tum mujhse expect kar rahi hogi ki main bhi tumhare saath uss hi pose me khada rahoon jis pose me uss film ka hero apni heroine k saath khadaa tha. So isiliye maine socha ki,iss baar,tumhaare kehne se pehle hi main tumhari wish fulfill kar deta hoon!
Khushi(admits): Waise,yeh khayaal humare dimaag me aaya zaroor tha lekin.. phir humne socha ki.. aapko yeh bachkaani harkat lagegi. Aur.. shaayad aap manaa kar denge? Aur phir.. neeche wale decks par kaafi log bhi the. Toh.. un k saamne hum yeh sab kaise kar paatein? Yeh saari baatein dhyaan me rakhte huye humne aapse iss baare me kuch nahi kaha.
Arnav: I understand. But I dont mind doing this for u!
Khushi(smiles): Shukriya! Toh.. waise khade rahein?
Arnav: Ha but uss k liye humein wahaan jana padega.
He points towards the stern of the ship.
Khushi: Wahaan oonchaai par hum saree pehenkar khade nahi reh paayenge. Usse achchhaa yeh hi hoga ki hum yaheen khade rahe, kyun?
Arnav nods before standing behind her.
As he held her waist,Khushi turned partially towards him.
Khushi: Aapse 1 sawaal poochhein?
Arnav: Sure!
Khushi: Agar unn hero aur heroine ki jagah hum aur aap hot..
Arnav(interrupts): Khushi! Maine pehle bhi kaha hai tumse-kisi bhi movie ko as a third person dekha karo. Apneaap ko aur mujhe uss se relate mat kiya karo! U shouldnt get so involved with a fictional story.
Khushi: Phir bhi,1 minute k liye sochiye naa..
Arnav: Kya?
Khushi: Yeh hi ki agar unn dono ki jagah hum dono hote toh kya aap bhi uss hi tarah humari jaan bachaate jis tarah hero ne heroine ki jaan bachaayi thi?
Arnav: Of course!
Khushi: Par agar hum heroine ki jagah hote na toh..
Arnav(interrupts): Toh tum zidd kar k wooden plank hataa deti aur mere saath freezing paani me marne k liye aa jaati!
Khushi: Aapko kaise pataa chalaa?
Arnav: Kyunki main tumhe bahut achchhe se jaanta hoon! Ab hum yahaan jo karne k liye aaye hain woh kar lein,please?
Khushi(turns to the other side): Ji. Ab hum chup rahenge.
Arnav(sarcastic): Thank u! Now,stretch ur arms..
Khushi(stretching her arms): Aap bhi kariye na!
Arnav: Kar raha hoon..
He stretches his arms & intertwines his fingers with hers.
Arnav: Tumhe yaad hai iss k baad kya hua tha?
Khushi(nods): Heroine ne hero se kaha ki usse bahut achchha lag raha hai! Aisaa lag raha hai jaise woh udd rahi hai!
Arnav: Nope! Yeh toh uss ne pehle hi keh diya tha! Iss k baad unn dono ne kiss kiya tha!
This realization makes Khushi shy & she lowers her gaze.
Arnav: Tum sharmaa kyun rahi ho,Khushi? I'm sure jab tumne Titanic k iss scene ko mere saath re-enact karne ka sapnaa dekha hoga toh uss me tumne kiss ko bhi include kiya hi hoga? (kisses her cheek)Am I right?
Khushi nods without turning to him.
Arnav: So,what r u waitin for?
The moment Khushi turns to him,Arnav captures her lips in a kiss.
Khushi lets go of his arms & turns fully towards him,wrapping her arms around his neck.
Arnav breaks the kiss to ask "Yeh.. kab hua tha.. Titanic me?"
Khushi: Titanic me.. nahi hua tha.. par.. yahaan hoga! Waise bhi.. Titanic me.. yeh scene suryaast(sunset).. k samay aaya tha. Yahaan toh.. subha ka waqt hai. Aur.. film me tab jahaaz.. paani me tair.. raha tha. Yahaan toh.. dockyard me.. khadaa hai! Toh.. yeh zaroori nahi.. ki jo film me.. hua tha yahaan bhi.. bilkul waise.. hi ho!
Arnav: Understood!
Arnav smiles as she takes his lower lip into her mouth.
After breaking apart,Khushi turned to the other side.
Khushi: Ha! Ab dobara se.. uss hi pose.. me khade rahiye!
Arnav: As u say!

While they were standing at the deck,in the Titanic pose,with their arms stretched to the sides,a strong wind blew into their faces.
Khushi's pallu flew away & covered Arnav's face while exposing her bare shoulder.
Before Khushi could set it right,she felt Arnav's arm across her shoulders.
Arnav: Trust me,Khushi!
His tone was such that it compelled Khushi to listen to him,without asking any questions.
Arnav moved the pallu away from his face.
Khushi's hands dropped to her sides as she felt Arnav's breath on the crook of her neck & shoulder.
Arnav wrapped the other arm around Khushi's waist before continuing.
Arnav: Mere hote huye tumhe kisi se darne ki ya sharmaane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Tum aaraam se,bina apne shoulder ko cover kiye iss blouse ko pehen sakti ho. You need not feel so conscious. Koi tumhari taraf buri nazar se nahi dekhega.
Aur agar koi dekhta bhi hai ya ghoorta hai toh main hoon na!(through gritted teeth) I will take care of that creature!
Khushi placed her hand on his arm when she felt anger emanating from his words.
Arnav composed himself and spoke in a milder tone.
Arnav: Tumhe kisi ki parvaah karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Main sab sambhaal lunga aur tumhari izzat ka khayaal bhi rakhunga! Just trust me once & u'll see for yourself! I promise I wont let you down!
Khushi turned towards him as soon as he finished speaking.
Khushi: Aisaa nahi hai ki hum aap par bharosa nahi karte! (cups his face)Aisaa kabhi mat sochiyega! Humein aapki qaabiliyat(capability) par zaraa sa bhi shaq nahi hai!
Arnav: Toh phir kya baat hai,Khushi?
Khushi: Aapko pataa toh hai.. (lowers her gaze) humein sharm aati hai.
Arnav: Kis se? Chalo,I can understand,cruise liner k kuch staff members tumhe pehechaante hain toh tumhe yahaan sharm aati hai. Fine! Atleast tum wildlife sanctuary pahuchne k baad apnaa pallu hataa dena,okay?
Khushi opens her mouth to say something when she is aptly silenced by Arnav.
Arnav: Ab yeh mat kehna ki tumhe wild animals aur birds se sharm aati hai!
Khushi(smacks his chest): Aap bhi na! Wahaan par sirf jaanvar thode hi na honge? Woh log bhi toh honge jo unhe dekhne aaye honge.
Arnav: Jin me se 1 bhi humari pehchaan ka nahi hoga,I'm sure! And besides,wohlog jaanvaaron ko dekhne aayenge,tumhe dekhne thode hi na aayenge jo tum itna sharmaa rahi ho?
He pauses to release a long breath.
Arnav: Look Khushi,main tumhe pareshaan ya uncomfortable nahi feel karvaana chahta hoon. I just want u to be more confident amongst people. Mere saamne toh tum pehle se zyaada free,confident aur expressive ho hi gayi ho par..
Khushi(interrupts): Toh aap uss hi se santusht(satisfied) rahiye na..
Arnav(sighs): Fine!
He turns immediately & leaves in the direction of the lift.
Khushi: Suniye..!
When Arnav did not pay any heed to her words,Khushi ran after him.
But by the time she reached the lobby,the doors of the lift had closed.
Khushi(sighs): Oh ho!
At that moment,the doors to the other lift open & Khushi promptly gets inside.
A middle aged foreigner turns to look at her.
Then she smiles & says: Nice saree!
Though Khushi was in despair,she managed a small smile while saying Thank you!
Lady: Are you from Eendeeaah (India)?
Khushi(pressing the button for 2nd floor): Yes..
Lady: I'd been to Aygraah (Agra) couple of years back! Its a beautiful city! (turns to the other side) Isnt it,Marc?
The man in question nods with a smile.
Marc: Sure it is,sweetie! And those sweets which we had.. umm.. what were they called?
Lady: Somethin' like peetaah..
"Pethaa",Khushi corrected her.
Marc: Ya,that one! I loved it! Its the speciality of that place,isnt it?
Khushi nodded while trying to be polite.
Fortunately,for Khushi,the two of them disembarked on the 4th floor.
Khushi(thinks): Devi Maiyya ka shukar hai! Ab bas.. Arnavji maan jaayein!
She got out of the lift as soon as the doors opened & marched in the direction of their cabin.
"Excuse me,ma'm..!",someone called from behind her.
Khushi turned around to find Oliver approaching her.
Khushi: Ji Oliverji? (checks herself)I mean.. yes Mr Oliver?
Oliver: Here's the printout of your tickets. Bertha had been to ur cabin twice but when she didnt find you both,
she came to return these to me.
Khushi: Oh..
Khushi nearly snatches the papers from his hands.
Khushi: Thanks! And.. Sorry! (looks in the direction of her cabin) I'm.. in a hurry!
Oliver(smiles): Thats okay,ma'm!
By then Khushi had already reached the door of their cabin.

When Arnav opened the door,Khushi was expecting him to charge angrily at her.
But she was surprised when he looked composed. He even smiled slightly after a few seconds.
Khushi: Kya hua?
Arnav: Andar aa jaao..
When he turned around after closing the door,Khushi found an even bigger smile on his lips.
Khushi: Aap.. muskuraa kyun rahe hain?
Arnav(holds her hand): Chalo,dikhaata hoon..
To Khushi's utter surprise and confusion,he took her towards the bathroom.
Khushi(frowns): Bathroom me kya dikhaana chaahte hain aap?
Arnav: Cockroach!
Khushi(shocked): Kya?!
By this time Arnav had opened the door of the bathroom & pushed her in front of the full length mirror.
Arnav: Khud hi dekh lo!
It was only when Khushi turned towards the mirror that she realized that while running after Arnav she had forgotten to
cover her right shoulder.
She gave her trademark shocked expression followed by a loud exclaimation of Hey Devi Maiyya!
Arnav: Pichhle 5 minute se tum aise hi ghoom rahi ho,bina kisi sharm ya sankoj(hesitation) k!
Khushi: Sirf ghoome hi nahi,hum toh.. Oliverji se bhi mile. Aur.. lift wale pati-patni k jode se bhi. Un teeno-ne.. humein.. aise dekha bhi hoga..
Arnav: Naturally! Woh toh lift me aur lobby me maujood(present) sab hi ne dekha hoga!
Khushi: Ha! (smacks her forehead)Hum kitne laaparvaah(careless) ho gaye hain! Pataa nahi kaise isse dhaknaa bhool gaye? Seedhe aapk peechhhe daud pade,woh bhi bina kuch soche-samjhe!
Arnav(arm around her shoulder): Relax Khushi!(smiles)Its not as if tum apne.. undergarments me..
Khushi(interrupts): Chup rahiye!
She hides her face in his chest only to find it rumbling with laughter.
Khushi(offended): Yahaan hum sharminda(embarassed) huye jaa rahe hain aur aapko hasi aa rahi hai?
Arnav: Tum itni sharminda kyun ho rahi ho? Subha tum hi mujhse keh rahi thi na ki tumse sirf blouse hi nahi,saree bhi peheni hai?So its not as if.. u were totally exposed. And besides,its not sucha big deal! Tum achchhi lag rahi ho! (points to the mirror) Just have a look at urself!
Khushi turns reluctantly towards the mirror.
Arnav: Tell me honestly,achchha lag raha hai na?
Khushi answers in a round about manner.
Khushi: Kamre me.. theek hai par.. baahar..
Arnav: Baahar bhi theek hi hai. Yeh tum khud dekh chuki ho. I'm sure kisi ne bhi tumhe ajeeb tarah se nahi dekha hoga. Its all in ur head! Pehle main samjhaa raha the par ab toh tumne experience bhi kar liya hai. Iss sab k baad bhi agar tumhe zidd par ade rehna hai toh fine! Ban jaao 1950's ki bahu! Sirf shoulders kyun? Sir bhi dhak lo! Kal se mere pair chhoona bhi shuru kar dena!
He is about to go when Khushi grabs his arm.
Khushi: Rukiye! Humein nahi bannaa kisi aur dashak(decade) ki bahu!
She rests her head on his forearm.
Khushi: Humein sirf aapki patni banne me dilchaspi hai! Tab hi toh,jab aap gusse me nikal gaye toh sab kuch chhod-chhaad kar,sharm-o-hayaa bhool-bhaal kar aapk peechhe daude chale aayein! Ab naraaz mat hoiyye. Hum..
Arnav: Yeh sari baatein tumhe mere naraaz hone k baad hi kyun yaad aati hai?
Khushi(kisses his hand): Sorry! Humein maaf kar dijiye..
Arnav: Pehle main tumhe observe karunga,yeh dekhunga ki tum sab k saamne kaise behave karti ho,phir decide karunga ki tumhe maaf karnaa hai ya nahi.
Khushi: Chaliye,manzoor!
Arnav: Lets go..

Khushi kept fidgeting with the end of her pallu while walking towards the exit terminal of the Southampton port.
When Arnav turned towards her,he found her eyes downcast.
Arnav: Tumne koi crime commit nahi kiya hai,Khushi. Oopar dekhkar chalo!
Khushi immediately did what she was told.
However her eyes kept roaming from person to person to check if someone was looking at her(or her blouse).
And the moment her gaze would meet another's person's gaze,she would avert her eyes to the floor.
This kinda behaviour continued till ArShi reached the New Forest Wildlife Park.
Once inside the park,Khushi forgot all about her apprehensions and roamed around freely.
This could partially be attributed to Arnav who informed here that there were no lions anywhere.
Khushi(grins): Sach me?
Arnav(nods): Sher toh nahi hai lekin bhediye(wolves) zaroor hain!
Khushi(shocked): Bhediye?!
Arnav(teases): Ha,bhediye! Tumhe yaad hai? Mamaji k birthday k din tum aur mamiji woh wali movie dekh rahe the jisme.. (smiles) bhediya chudail(witch) ban jaata hai!
The smile on his lips was a giveaway & Khushi came to know that her husband was teasing her.
Arnav: Yahaan toh bahut saare bhediye hain.(shrugs) U never know kaunsa chudail ban jaayega!
Khushi(casually): Chaahe jitne bhediye ho,humein unn se koi farq nahi padhtaa!
Arnav: Really?
Khushi: Bilkul! Aapne woh film dekhi nahi na isiliye aapko pataa nahi hoga ki uss film ka bhediya amaavas ki raat ko chudail ban jaata hai. Aaj na toh amaavas hai aur na hi raat hui hai! (confidently)Toh humein bhediyon ka koi dar nahi hai!
Arnav: Right!
Khushi: Ab aage badhein?
Arnav: Sure!

Khushi was left astonished and in wonder once they started exploring the park.
From Otters to Wallabies and from Hedgehogs to Ferrets,she saw many animals which appeared totally unknown to her.
Khushi: Humne na toh kabhi Ferret ka naam suna hai aur nahi hai uss k jaise vichitra(strange) jaanvar ko aaj se pehle kabhi dekha hai.

She recalled the group of Otters which were being fed by their caretaker when ArShi had seen them.
Khushi: Aur na hi kabhi Otter dekha hai ya uss ka naam suna hai.

Arnav: Thats obvious kyunki yeh India me nahi milte hain.
Khushi(nods): Humne jungli billiyon k baare me sirf suna tha,aaj toh dekh bhi liya!
She turned to her left where the Scottish lynx was roaming around in her private enclosure.
Arnav: Deers toh dekhe honge tumne?
Khushi(turns to Arnav): Haan!
Arnav: Aaj unse personally mil bhi lena! Come..
Following the map,they went deeper inside the forest to witness a scene which Khushi would remember all her life.
Khushi's eyes became as round as saucers when she saw 2 deers leaping towards them.
Khushi: Hey Devi Maiyya! Yeh yahaan kyun aa rahe hain?
She hid behind Arnav and grabbed his waist tightly.
Arnav: Relax Khushi! Tumne toh kaha tha ki tumne deers dekhe hain?
Khushi: Humne jinhe dekha tha woh pinjre(cage) me the,aise khul-e-aam daudte nahi phirte the!
In the meantime 1 of the deers came towards Arnav.
While Arnav patted it,the caretaker(CT) of deers approached him.
He smiled at Arnav who shot him a quick half smile before turning his attention back to the deer.
Arnav: Jus' have a look Khushi!
Khushi: Humein nahi dekhna! Aap usse yahaan se bhagaa dijiye naa..
Arnav(stroking it): Kahaan bhaagega woh? Yeh uss ka ghar hai,Khushi!
Khushi: Toh phir hum bhaag rahe hain yahaan se!
She had barely taken a few steps away from him when Arnav warned her.
Arnav: Jungle me kho mat jana! Wahaan par deer k alaava aur bhi bahut saare animals khule me ghoomte hain!
This made Khushi turn back towards him & when she did she was greeted by a man of about 50(caretaker).
CT: Hey! R u scared?
Khushi(nods): Yes.
CT: Don' be! And don' run, 'coz if u do then they'll run after u! They'll think that u're playin' a game wid' em!
Khushi: Then.. what should I do?
CT: Pet 'em! (points to Arnav) Like ur husband's doin!
Khushi(shook her head): I am scared.
CT: They're not tryin' to scare u! They jus' want ur love! So if u love 'em they'll love u back! Come,I'll show u..
He went up to another deer who instantly came towards him.
He fed it some biscuits & it appeared to Khushi that the deer was hungry.
While the deer chewed at the biscuits,the caretaker gently stroked it as though it were a baby.
CT(turns to Khushi): See,they're so kind! Though they have horns,they'll never poke u wid' those!
"He's right!",said Arnav,walking upto Khushi who knew what he wanted to do.
Khushi: Arnavji hum..
Arnav(interrupts): Ssshhh! Daro mat. Kuch nahi karega..
Arnav took Khushi's hand in his own & then placed it on the neck of the deer.
Khushi felt goosebumps at first since the deer's head was inches away from her body.
But her fear vanished as she got used to stroking it while the deer happily nibbled at the map in her hand.
When Arnav saw that,he admonished Khushi.
Arnav: Khushi,map ko hataa do! Paper is not good for any animal's digestive system.
CT: Thats true. Come here,Sammy!
The deer left the map & immediately followed the caretaker.
Khushi: Aadha toh ussne kha hi liya. Khair.. Ab humein chalnaa chahiye,Arnavji! Lagbhag saare jaanvar toh humne dekh hi liye hain.
Arnav: 1 jagah jaana baaki hai.
Khushi: Kaunsi jagah?

Arnav took Khushi to the butterfly house,where Khushi felt at ease.
She was amazed looking at the different colors & sizes of the butterflies. And the various designs on their wings.
An orangish yellow butterfly fluttered towards Khushi & perched itself on the back of Khushi's left hand.
Khushi smiled and cooed to it while the butterfly splayed its wings and rested on her hand.
Khushi(turns to Arnav): Arnavji, yahaan aakar dekhiye toh sahi! Yeh kitni sundar hai!
Arnav(smiles): Dono bahut sundar hain!
Khushi(frowns): Dono? Yahaan toh 1 hi hai!
Arnav walked up to her & whispered in her ear.
Arnav: 1 yeh orange titli aur doosri buaji ki Titaliya!
Khushi(blushes): Kya aap bhi! Isse dekhiye na,kitne aaraam se humare haath par baithi hai.
When Arnav tried to touch it with his finger,Khushi panicked.
Khushi: Nahi,nahi,nahi,nahi! Chhoona mat!
Arnav(withdraws his finger): Kyun,yeh ud jaayegi kya?
Khushi: Ha,ud jaayegi par uss k alaava usse chot lag jaayegi. Titli k pankh bahut naazukh(delicate) hote hain isiliye
humein unk saath chhedkhaani nahi karni chahiye!
Arnav: Fine! Uss titli se chhedkhaani nahi kar sakta toh kya hua? (smirks)Iss titli se toh kar hi saktaa hoon!
Khushi: Door hatiye!
While trying to dissuade Arnav,she disturbed the butterfly who flew away.
Khushi: Areh! (sad face)Dekhiye,udaa di ne aapne humari titli!
Arnav: Sorry!
Khushi: Koi baat nahi! Aaiyye,uss taraf chalkar aur titliyon ko dekhte hain..
*10 minutes later*
Arnav: Titliyon se man bhar gayaa ho toh chalein?
Khushi: Man toh nahi bharaa lekin bhookh bhi lag rahi hai.
Arnav: Tab hi toh keh raha hoon,chalo. Baahar nikalkar yahaan k Woodlands' restaurant me lunch kar lenge.
Khushi: Toh woh.. cruise liner wale five course meal ka kya hoga?
Arnav: Woh kal kar lenge! Aaj yaheen se lunch kar k seedhe museum k liye nikalte hain.
Khushi: Theek hai.
She took one,last,long look at the butterflies before accompanying Arnav towards the exit.

Khushi looked pretty confused at first.
Arnav: Kya hua?
Khushi: Kitna badaa museum hai yeh! Samajh nahi aa raha hai ki shuruaat kahaan se karein?
Arnav: Main bataata hoon..
Arnav took her to the 'Disaster Room' where the series of events that had unfolded on the night when the Titanic had sunk were explained in detail.
Arnav's eyes kept shifting from the screen to Khushi on several occasions.
He noticed that Khushi closed her eyes when the iceberg hit the Titanic. And when the ship broke into two, Khushi
held onto his hand tightly.
Arnav(thinks): Kahin maine Khushi ko yahaan laakar galti toh nahi kar di? Jis tarah se woh apneaap ko har movie ya
har story se relate karti rehti hai,kahin yahaan par woh apneaap ko Titanic k passengers se relate na kar le. I just hope ki.. yeh sab dekhne k baad uss k man me humare cruise liner k doobne ka dar na paidaa ho jaaye!
Once the light & sound show was over,ArShi went to see the exhibition 'Gateway to the world',which was basically about the Southampton of the early 1900s & the status it enjoyed of being the major port of England.
Khushi: Humein toh vishwaas hi nahi ho raha hai! Inn tasveeron me jo port dikhaai de raha hai kya woh woh hi vishaal(huge) port hai jahaan se hum aaj aaye hain? *when Arnav nods*Southampton ne 1 sadi(century) me kitni zyaada taraqqi(progress) kar li hai na!?
Arnav: Taraqqi toh koi bhi sheher kar hi leta hai. Afterall,100 years is not a small span of time. Jo baat Southampton ko
baaki shehron k muqaable khaas banaati hai woh hai iss ki Phoenix wali quality!
Khushi(frowns): Phoenix?
Arnav(surprised): Tumhe Phoenix k baare me nahi pataa? As in.. rise of the phoenix from the ashes?
When Khushi shook her head,Arnav told her the story of the phoenix.
Khushi: Iss Phoenix ka Southampton se kya taalluq hai?
Arnav: Yeh tumhe abhi pataa chal jaayega. (holds her hand) Come..
They went to see the second exhibition which was called 'Southampton's Titanic story'.
Khushi was shocked to know that the larger part of Titanic's crew belonged to Southampton.
While the ship was being evacuated,the men had to stay behind due to the 'women & children first' protocol.
Preference was also given to first class passengers over the second & third class ones.
While the survival rate of first class passengers was 60%,that of the third class passengers was only 24%.
Almost 500 houses in Southampton lost their breadwinners.
Hundreds of children,including several new born babies,became orphans.
This knowledge reduced Khushi to tears.
Arnav wrapped his arm around her as they listened to the audio testimonies of the survivors.
Once they were through,ArShi went to the Galle' cafe for refreshments.
Arnav: Tum theek ho?
Khushi: Ji. Aur aap?
Arnav(nods): I'm fine. Kya logi?
Khushi: Chaay.
Arnav: Aur?
Khushi: Bas. Aur kuch nahi chahiye.
Still Arnav ordered chocolate chip cookies to go with the tea.
Once the waiter left,Arnav placed his hand on top of Khushi's, which was resting on the table.
Khushi: Aaj se pehle hum apneaap ko badnaseeb(unfortunate) samajhte the,kyunki humein apne amma aur babuji ki
maut se pehle aakhri baar unse milne ka mauka nahi mila. Ha,humari unse mulaaqaat zaroor hui thi par tab humein nahi pataa tha ki jab woh ghar lautenge toh.. (sighs)Humein unse baatein karne ka maukaa nahi mila. Yeh kehne ka maukaa nahi mila ki hum unse kitna pyaar karte hain! Aur hum unki parvarish aur sanskaaron ki kitni qadar karte hain! Amma bhi apni jiji k saath aur naniamma apni bitiya k saath thoda aur waqt guzaar leti. Aur humein aanewale dukhon k liye taiyyaar bhi kar deti. Par nahi! Aapne aisaa nahi kiya! Khushi: Par andar woh sab dekhne aur sunne k baad aisaa lag rahaa hai jaise humara naseeb utna bhi kharaab nahi hai.
Kamaskam humein apne amma,babuji k antim darshan karne ka maukaa toh mila. Iss baat ki tasalli toh hai ki unk antim sanskaar aurchauthe se lekar tervi tak,sab kuch vidhi poorvak ho gayaa. Par jink parivaar waale Titanic k haadse me guzar gaye unhe toh apne priyajanon ki antim vidhiyaan karne ka saubhaagya bhi nahi mila. Oopar se kamaane waale k achaanak chale jaane se ghar chalaane me jo diqqatein aayi hongi so alag. Iss sab k baawajood bhi Southampton k logon ne himmat rakhte huye apne jeevan ki nayi shuruaat ki aur iss sheher ko wahaan pahuchaaya jahaan yeh aaj khadaa hai! (smiles)Aap sahi keh rahe the,waaqai me Southampton pheonix ki tarah hai! Arnav: 1 aur baat kahoon?
Khushi: Ji,zaroor kahiye!
Arnav: Tum badnaseeb nahi ho!
He pauses to gaze intently in her eyes.
Arnav: Badnaseebon ko apne parents k guzar jaane k baad doosre set of parents nahi milte! Naa hi unhe doosra
ghar, apnaapan aur ek secure childhood milta hai.
Khushi: Aapki baat bilkul sahi hai!
Arnav: In that case,aaj k baad kabhi bhi apneaap ko badnaseeb mat samajhna,hmm?
Khushi nods before standing up from the seat.
Just then the waiter arrived with their tray.
Khushi waited till he was gone before sitting next to Arnav & wrapping her arms around him.
Arnav made a mental note while patting her head.
Arnav(thinks): Jab Khushi emotional ho jaati hai tab woh sharmaana aur embarassed feel karnaa bhool jaati hai.
Aur jab tensed hoti hai,tab bhi bhool jaati hai. Jaise aaj cruise liner me bhool gayi thi.
That reminds him of something & he breaks the hug.
Arnav: I hope yeh sab dekhne k baad tumhe yeh nahi lagega ki just bcoz Titanic doob gayaa tha humara cruise liner bhi doob jaayega?
Khushi: Shubh shubh boliye! Aur nahi,humaare man me aisaa koi dar nahi hai!
Arnav(sighs): Thankfully!
Khushi: Ab chaay-coffee pee lein? Baahar jaakar aur bhi kaafi kuch dekhna baaki hai.
Arnav: Sure! Iss k baad hum jaayenge wild planet photo museum me.
Khushi: Theek hai. Aur uss k baad? Humara matlab.. yahaan se nikalne k baad?
Arnav: Mayflower theatre.
Khushi's face lit up with a 1000 watt smile.
Khushi: Aap humein film dikhaane le jaa rahe hain?! (smile faded a bit)Angrezi film hogi na?
She continued without waiting for the answer.
Khushi: Koi baat nahi! Aaj toh hum woh bhi khushi-khushi dekh lenge! (sighs)Ek arsaa ho gayaa hai aap k saath
film dekhe huye.
Arnav: I know that but aaj hum koi film nahi,play dekhenge.
Khushi(surprised): Naatak? Areh waah!
Arnav: Aur sirf play hi nahi,hum behind the scenes jaakar yeh bhi dekhenge ki wahaan kya-kya hota hai?
Khushi: Bahut mazaa aayega! Aaj se pehle humne aap k saath koi naatak kahaan dekha hai? Humein toh nahi lagaa tha ki humein kabhi aapk saath koi naatak dekhne ka maukaa milega. Arnav(tucks her hair behind her ear): Aaj tum mere saath meri pasand ka naatak dekh lo. Next time jab main Mumbai jaaunga toh tumhe bhi saath le jaaunga. Aur phir tumhe Prithvi theatre lekar chalunga. wahaan hum tumhari pasand ka naatak dekhenge!
Khushi(grins): Shukriya!
Arnav: Ab chaay peeyo aur mujhe meri coffee peene do,varna dono thande ho jaayenge!
Khushi(realizes): Ha,ha.
She goes to sit at the other side of the table.
While stirring her tea,Khushi makes a silent prayer.
Khushi(thinks): Hey Devi Maiyya! Titanic k haadse me jin ki bhi maut hui thi,aap un sabki aatmaaon ko shaanti dijiyega!
Arnav: Kya soch rahi ho?
Khushi: Kuch nahi!
He took a chocolate chip cookie & put it into her mouth.
Arnav: Titanic ko doobe huye 100 saalon se zyaada ho chuke hain..
Khushi: huh?
Arnav: Toh jo log uss k saath doob gaye the, u think unki aatmaayein ab tak shaant nahi hui hongi? Ab tak jo survivors the woh bhi mar chuke honge aur unki aatmaayein bhi shaant ho gayi hongi!
Khushi nearly spat out the half chewed cookie.
Arnav(pats her back): Relax!
He smiles while taking a sip of his coffee.

A shocked Khushi looks up from the laptop to find Arnav with a know-it-all smirk on his face.
Khushi: Yeh sab.. kya hai?
Arnav: Dekhkar kya lag raha hai?
Khushi(gulps): Pataa nahi!
Arnav(amused): what do u mean by pataa nahi?! Yeh saare sex positions hain!

Khushi(nods): Maanaa ki har kisi ka apnaa alag nazariya hota hai. Par humein khushi hai ki.. (smile) iss maamle me humare aur aapk vichaar ek hain! Hum dono k liye iss cheez ka matlab bhi ek hai!
Arnav(acts clueless): Kis cheez ka?
Khushi(rolls her eyes): Sex ka,sex ka,sex ka! Uff! Jab tak humse bulva nahi lete tab tak aapko chain hi nahi padta!
Arnav grins while lying down on the bed.

Post breakfast,Khushi did her best to convince Arnav to change his mind.
Arnav: Didnt I tell u that we'll explore the cruise liner before goin out?
Khushi: Ya,I know that! Tell me something Arnavji,wont we be able to explore it tomorrow?
She continued,not allowing him to answer.
Khushi: See,tomorrow the ship will depart for Le Havre. Then we'll be spending the entire day aboard! So.. We'll take a long,leisurely tour of the cruise liner! And u can show me whatever u want me to see. I wont refuse it! (holds his hand) But please dont ask me to stay in here today! Lets go out before the weather changes,hmm?
Arnav(nods): Fine!
Khushi(elated): That's the spirit! (kisses his cheek)Lets leave right now!
Arnav: In that case,prepare urself to visit the wildlife sanctuary!
The smile is wiped off Khushi's face.
Khushi(mutters): This is what u would call an 'aasmaan se tapke aur khajoor me atke' (fall from the sky only to get stuck in the datepalm!) situation!
Arnav: What?
Khushi: Nothing!
Arnav: Take ur sunglasses & umbrella,both. The weather o'er here is.. sort of unpredictable. U cant say when u would need which..
Khushi: Alright.
She was about to fetch her handbag when Arnav called her.
Khushi: Yes?
Arnav: I need to take u somewhere before we go out.
Khushi: Where?

When they entered the lift,Arnav surprised Khushi by pressing the button for the topmost floor.
Khushi: Isnt the exit on the ground floor?
Arnav: Ya,but we're goin to the terrace.
Khushi: But..
She stopped when the lift halted at one of the floors & a few passengers got inside.
Khushi glanced over a lady's shoulder to look at Arnav.
He was looking straight ahead & his face was expressionless.
Khushi(thinks): Why did he suddenly decide to take me to the terrace? (clicks her tongue)He doesnt even say anything clearly! A passenger turned to her upon hearing the click of her tongue. That made Khushi conscious & she averted her gaze to the floor of the lift,where it stayed till they reached the destination.
Arnav: Come..
The uppermost deck was totally empty and quite large when compared to the rest of the decks,which Khushi had seen so far.
It had 5 canopied loungers on one side & a small terrace garden on the other side.
Arnav held her hands & placed them on the deck railing.
Khushi: What do u want me to see over here?
Arnav: Titanic..
Khushi(frowns): What?
Arnav: Do u remember the iconic scene from Titanic? The hero & heroine were standing on Titanic's stern with their arms opened wide?
Khushi: Ya,of course I do! (reminescent smile)That was sucha good scene,wasnt it? And both of them were so happy with each other!
Arnav: Right! When we were in the hot air balloon,u'd told me about ur filmy wish &..
Khushi(interrupts): And u'd fulfilled that wish,that too in ur style!
Arnav(nods): So I thought that this cruise liner mustve reminded u of the Titanic movie! And subsequently u mustve remembered that scene as well! And u would b expecting me to stand with u on 1 of the decks,in the same pose in which the hero & heroine of the movie were standin. So I thought of fulfilling ur wish before u could even tell me bout it!
Khushi(admits): This thought did come to my mind. But then I thought that.. u'll find it childish and.. may be u'll refuse? And then almost all the decks were full of people. So.. how could we do all this in front of them? Keeping all these things in mind,I didnt tell u anything about it.
Arnav: I understand. But I dont mind doing this for u!
Khushi(smiles): Thanks! So.. shall we?
Arnav: Ya,we shall but for that we'll have to go o'er there.
He pointed to the stern of the ship.
Khushi: No,we cant go there. I wont be able to stand at that height since I'm wearing a saree. It would be better if we stand here itself.
Arnav nods before standing behind her.
As he held her waist,Khushi turned partially towards him.
Khushi: Can I ask u a question?
Arnav: Sure!
Khushi: Had it been u & me instead of the hero & heroine..
Arnav(interrupts): Khushi! I've told u many times in the past & I'm tellin u again-watch any movie as a third person. Dont start relating urself n me with the movie! U shouldnt get so involved with a fictional story.
Khushi: Still.. why dont u think about it for a minute?..
Arnav: Bout what?
Khushi: Had we been there in the Titanic instead,would u have saved my life like hero saved the heroine's life?
Arnav: Of course!
Khushi: Had I been there instead of the heroine,I..
Arnav(interrupts): U would have been stubborn enough to push the wooden plank aside & die in the freezing water alongwith me!
Khushi: How did u know that?
Arnav: Coz I know u very well! Now,shall we do what we're here to do,please?
Khushi(turns to the other side): Ya. Now I'll keep quiet.
Arnav(sarcastic): Thank u! now,stretch ur arms..
Khushi(stretching her arms): U too!
Arnav: Yes,I'm doin it..
He stretches his arms & intertwines his fingers with hers.
Arnav: Do u remember what happened after this point in the movie?
Khushi(nods): The heroine told the hero that she was loving this pose! It seemed to her like she was flying!
Arnav: Nope! She'd said that earlier! They'd kissed after this point!
This realization makes Khushi shy & she lowers her gaze.
Arnav: Why r u feelin so shy,Khushi? I'm sure when u'd thought of re-enacting this Titanic scene with me,u would've included the kiss in it? (kisses her cheek)Am I right?
Khushi nods without turning to him.
Arnav: So,what r u waitin for?
The moment Khushi turns to him,Arnav captures her lips in a kiss.
Khushi lets go of his arms & turns fully towards him,wrapping her arms around his neck.
Arnav breaks the kiss to ask "When did.. this happen.. in the movie?
Khushi: It didnt.. happen in the movie.. but it'll.. happen over here! Anyways.. this scene was shot during.. sunset whereas.. its morning now. And.. in the movie.. the ship was.. sailing in the ocean.. whereas.. our cruise liner is.. standing in the.. dockyard! So.. its not neccesary.. that everything.. will have to.. be according to.. the movie!
Arnav: Understood!
Arnav smiles as she takes his lower lip into her mouth.
After breaking apart,Khushi turned to the other side.
Khushi: Ya! Now.. we'll stand in.. that pose.. again!

While they were standing at the deck,in the Titanic pose,with their arms stretched to the sides,a strong wind blew into their faces.
Khushi's pallu flew away & covered Arnav's face while exposing Khushi's bare shoulder.
Before Khushi could set it right,she felt Arnav's arm across her shoulders.
Arnav: Trust me,Khushi!
His tone was such that it compelled Khushi to listen to him,without asking any questions.
Arnav moved the pallu away from his face.
Khushi's hands dropped to her sides as she felt Arnav's breath on the crook of her neck & shoulder.
Arnav wrapped the other arm around Khushi's waist before continuing.
Arnav: U dont need to feel scared of anyone till I'm here. U can wear this blouse as it is,without covering ur shoulder. You need not feel so conscious. Nobody will stare at u. And if anybody does dare to stare at or oggle u,I'm there na?(through gritted teeth) I will take care of that creature!
Khushi placed her hand on his arm when she felt anger emanating from his words.
Arnav composed himself and spoke in a milder tone.
Arnav: U need not bother about anyone! I'll take care of everythin,includin urself! Just trust me once & u'll see for yourself! I promise I wont let you down!
Khushi turned towards him as soon as he finished speaking.
Khushi: Its not that I dont trust u! (cups his face)Please dont think like that! I dont hav an ounce of doubt on ur capability!
Arnav: Then whats the matter,Khushi?
Khushi: U know it very well.. (lowers her gaze) I feel shy.
Arnav: Why r u so shy? Okay,I can understand,some of the staff members in the cruise liner know u so u feel shy in front of them. Fine! Atleast u can remove ur pallu once we reach the wildlife sanctuary,okay?
Khushi opens her mouth to say something when she is aptly silenced by Arnav.
Arnav: Now,dont tell me that u'll feel shy in front of wild animals & birds!
Khushi(smacks his chest): Stop it! U're talkin as if there'll be nobody else save the animals over there. What about the people who'll come to see them?
Arnav: I'm sure u wont know even 1 of those! And besides,they'll be there to see the animals not to see u! So y should u feel shy?
He pauses to release a long breath.
Arnav: Look Khushi,I dont want u to be tensed or uncomfortable. I just want u to be more confident amongst people. In front of me u've become much more free,confident & expressive now. But..
Khushi(interrupts): So why cant u be satisfied with that?
Arnav(sighs): Fine!
He turns immediately & leaves in the direction of the lift.
Khushi: Listen..!
When Arnav did not pay any heed to her words,Khushi ran after him.
But by the time she reached the lobby,the doors of the lift had closed.
Khushi(sighs): Oh no!
At that moment,the doors to the other lift open & Khushi promptly gets inside.
A middle aged foreigner turns to look at her.
Then she smiles & says: Nice saree!
Though Khushi was in despair,she managed a small smile while saying Thank you!
Lady: Are you from Eendeeaah (India)?
Khushi(pressing the button for 2nd floor): Yes..
Lady: We'd been to Aygraah (Agra) couple o' years back! Its a beautiful city! (turns to the other side)Isnt it,Marc?
The man in question nods with a smile.
Marc: Sure,it is,sweetie! And those sweets which we had.. umm.. What were they called?
Lady: Somethin' like peetaah..
"Pethaa",Khushi corrected her.
Marc: Ya,that one! I loved it! Its the speciality of that place,isnt it?
Khushi nodded while trying to be polite.
Fortunately,for Khushi,the two of them disembarked on the 4th floor.
Khushi(thinks): Thanks be to Devi Maiyya! Now if only.. Arnavji would listen to me!
She got out of the lift as soon as the doors opened & marched in the direction of their cabin.
"Excuse me,ma'm..!",someone called from behind her.
Khushi turned around to find Oliver approaching her.
Khushi: Ji Oliverji? (checks herself)I mean.. yes Mr Oliver?
Oliver: Here's the printout of your tickets. Bertha had been to ur cabin twice but when she didnt find you both,
she came to return these to me.
Khushi: Oh..
Khushi nearly snatches the papers from his hands.
Khushi: Thanks! And.. Sorry! (looks in the direction of her cabin) I'm.. in a hurry!
Oliver(smiles): Thats okay,ma'm!
By then Khushi had already reached the door of their cabin.

When Arnav opened the door,Khushi was expecting him to charge angrily at her.
But she was surprised when he looked composed. He even smiled slightly after a few seconds.
Khushi: What happened?
Arnav: Come inside..
When he turned around after closing the door,Khushi found an even bigger smile on his lips.
Khushi: Why.. r u smiling?
Arnav(holds her hand): Come,I'll show u..
To Khushi's utter surprise and confusion,he took her towards the bathroom.
Khushi(frowns): What do u want me to see in the bathroom?
Arnav: Cockroach!
Khushi(shocked): What?!
By this time Arnav had opened the door of the bathroom & pushed her in front of the full length mirror.
Arnav: Come & see for urself!
It was only when Khushi turned towards the mirror that she realized that while running after Arnav she had forgotten to
cover her right shoulder.
She gave her trademark shocked expression followed by a loud exclaimation of Hey Devi Maiyya!
Arnav: U've been roaming around like this since the last 5 minutes or so,without feeling shy & without any hesitation!
Khushi: Not only was I roaming I also met.. Oliverji. And that.. lady & her husband in the lift. They mustve.. seen me.. like this..
Arnav: Naturally! All those who were present in the lift & in the lobby mustve seen u like this!
Khushi: Ya! (smacks her forehead)I'm too careless! I dont know how I forgot to cover my shoulder? I just ran behind u without thinking about anything else!
Arnav(arm around her shoulder): Relax Khushi!(smiles)Its not as if u were roaming around in ur.. undergarm..
Khushi(interrupts): Shut up!
She hides her face in his chest only to find it rumbling with laughter.
Khushi(offended): I'm so embarassed & u're laughing?
Arnav: What r u so embarassed bout? Werent u tellin me this mornin that u're not wearin just the blouse,u're also wearin the saree? So its not as if.. u were totally exposed. And besides,its not sucha big deal! U're lookin good! (points to the mirror) Just have a look at urself!
Khushi turns reluctantly towards the mirror.
Arnav: Tell me honestly,doesnt it look good?
Khushi answers in a round about manner.
Khushi: Its.. okay inside the bedroom but.. outside..
Arnav: Its fine outside as well. U've seen it for urself. I'm sure nobody mustve stared at u in a wrong manner. Its all in ur head! First I was explaining to u bout it but now u've experienced it for urself. If u still want to be stubborn enough to cover ur shoulder then its fine by me! Turn into a 1950's bahu! Why just the shoulders? Cover ur head as well! And start touchin my feet from tomorrow!
He is about to go when Khushi grabs his arm.
Khushi: Wait! I dont want to be the bahu of some other decade!
She rests her head on his forearm.
Khushi: I'm only interested in being ur wife! Thats y when u left the deck,I ran after u forgetting all about my hesitation! Now,plz dont be so upset. I'm..
Arnav: Why do u remember all these after I become angry/upset?
Khushi(kisses his hand): Sorry! Plz forgive me..
Arnav: I'll observe u first & see how u behave in front of outsiders. And then I'll decide whether I want to forgive u or not.
Khushi: Okay,agreed!
Arnav: Lets go..

Khushi kept fidgeting with the end of her pallu while walking towards the exit terminal of the Southampton port.
When Arnav turned towards her,he found her eyes downcast.
Arnav: U've not committed a crime,Khushi. Look up & walk properly!
Khushi immediately did what she was told.
However her eyes kept roaming from person to person to check if someone was looking at her(or her blouse).
And the moment her gaze would meet another's person's gaze,she would avert her eyes to the floor.
This kinda behaviour continued till ArShi reached the New Forest Wildlife Park.
Once inside the park,Khushi forgot all about her apprehensions and roamed around freely.
This could partially be attributed to Arnav who informed here that there were no lions anywhere.
Khushi(grins): Really?
Arnav(nods): There r no lions but there's a pack of wolves!
Khushi(shocked): Wolves?!
Arnav(teases): Ya,wolves! Do u remember that movie u were watchin with mamiji on mamaji's birthday? The 1 in which a.. (smiles) a wolf turns into a witch!
The smile on his lips was a giveaway & Khushi came to know that her husband was teasing her.
Arnav: There r so many wolves o'er here. (shrugs)U never know which 1 would turn into a witch!
Khushi(casually): I dont care about the wolves,no matter how many of them are here!
Arnav: Really?
Khushi: Certainly! Since u didnt watch that film u dont know that the wolf turns into a witch on amaavas(no moon night)! Niether is it amaavas nor is it night yet! (confidently)So I'm not scared of the wolves!
Arnav: Right!
Khushi: Shall we proceed?
Arnav: Sure!

Khushi was left astonished and in wonder once they started exploring the park.
From Otters to Wallabies and from Hedgehogs to Ferrets,she saw many animals which appeared totally unknown to her.
Khushi: Niether have I heard of Ferret before today nor have I seen an animal as strange as it is.

She recalled the group of Otters which were being fed by their caretaker when ArShi had seen them.

Arnav: Thats obvious coz these animals r not found in India.
Khushi(nods): I'd only heard of wild cats till date but today I got to see 1!
She turned to her left where the Scottish lynx was roaming around in her private enclosure.
Arnav: U must've seen deers?
Khushi(turns to Arnav): Ya!
Arnav: Today u'll get to meet them personally! Come..
Following the map,they went deeper inside the forest to witness a scene which Khushi would remember all her life.
Khushi's eyes became as round as saucers when she saw 2 deers leaping towards them.
Khushi: Hey Devi Maiyya! Y r they coming over to us?
She hid behind Arnav and grabbed his waist tightly.
Arnav: Relax Khushi! Didnt u say that u've deers in the past?
Khushi: The ones I'd seen were in a cage,they werent running around like these!
In the meantime 1 of the deers came towards Arnav.
While Arnav patted it,the caretaker approached him with a smile.
Arnav shot him a half smile in return before shifting his attention back to the deer.
Arnav: Jus' have a look Khushi!
Khushi: I dont want to! Please shoo it away..
Arnav(stroking it): I cant! This is where it stay,Khushi!
Khushi: In that case I'm running away!
She had barely taken a few steps away from him when Arnav warned her.
Arnav: Dont end up gettin lost in the forest! Apart from the deer,many other animals roam around freely o'er there!
This made Khushi turn back towards him & when she did she was greeted by a man of about 50(caretaker).
CT: Hey! R u scared?
Khushi(nods): Yes!
CT: Don' be! And don' run,'coz if u do then they'll run after u! They'll think that u're playin' a game wid' em!
Khushi: Then.. what should I do?
CT: Pet 'em! (points to Arnav) Like ur husband's doin!
Khushi(shook her head): I am scared.
CT: They're not tryin' to scare u! They jus' want ur love! So if u love 'em they'll love u back! Come,I'll show u..
He went up to another deer who instantly came towards him.
While the deer chewed at his shoes,the man gently stroked it as though it were a baby.
CT(turns to Khushi): See,they're so kind! Though they have horns,they'll never poke u wid those!
"He's right!",said Arnav,walking upto Khushi,who knew what he wanted to do.
Khushi: No Arnavji! I..
Arnav(interrupts): Ssshhh! Dont be afraid! It wont cause any harm to u..
Arnav took Khushi's hand in his own & then placed it on the neck of the deer.
Khushi felt goosebumps at first since the deer's head was inches away from her body.
But her fear vanished as she got used to stroking it while the deer happily nibbled at the map in her hand.
When Arnav saw that,he admonished Khushi.
Arnav: Khushi,move the map away! Paper is not good for any animal's digestive system.
CT: That's true! Come here,Sammy!
The deer immediately let go of the map to follow the caretaker.
Khushi: It has eaten half of it already. Anyways.. We should get going,Arnavji! We've seen
almost all the animals by now.
Arnav: We need to see just 1 more thing..
Khushi: And whats that?

Arnav took Khushi to the butterfly house,where Khushi felt at ease.
She was amazed looking at the different colors & sizes of the butterflies. And the various designs on their wings.
An orangish yellow butterfly fluttered towards Khushi & perched itself on the back of Khushi's left hand.
Khushi smiled and cooed to it while the butterfly splayed its wings and rested on her hand.
Khushi(turns to Arnav): Arnavji,come & see! She's so beautiful!
Arnav(smiles): Both are very beautiful!
Khushi(frowns): Both? There's only 1 butterfly!
Arnav walked up to her & whispered in her ear.
Arnav: 1 is the orange butterfly & the other is buaji's Titaliya!
Khushi(blushes): U're too much! Just see,she's sitting so calmly on my hand.
When Arnav tried to touch it with his finger,Khushi panicked.
Khushi: No,no,no,no! Dont touch it!
Arnav(withdraws his finger): Why? Will it fly away?
Khushi: Ya,it'll fly away but apart from that it'll get hurt. A butterfly's wings r very delicate so we shouldnt touch
or poke them!
Arnav: Fine! So what if I cant touch or poke that butterfly? (smirks)I can always do that to buaji's butterfly!
Khushi: Move aside!
While trying to dissuade Arnav,she disturbed the butterfly who flew away.
Khushi: Areh! (sad face)See what u did? My butterfly flew away bcoz of u!
Arnav: Sorry!
Khushi: Its okay! Lets go over to that side. There r more butterflies over there..
*10 minutes later*
Arnav: If u've had enough of butterfly sighting then can we leave?
Khushi: I dont think I've had enough of it but then its also true that I'm feeling hungry.
Arnav: Thats why I'm tellin u that its time to leave. Once we go out,we'll have lunch at the Woodlands' restaurant o'er here.
Khushi: What about that.. five course meal in the cruise liner?
Arnav: We'll have it tomorrow! Lets have lunch here today. Then we'll directly leave for the museum.
Khushi: Alright.
She took one,last,long look at the butterflies before accompanying Arnav towards the exit.

Khushi looked pretty confused at first.
Arnav: What happened?
Khushi: This is sucha huge museum! From where should I start exploring it?
Arnav: I'll tell u..
Arnav took her to the 'Disaster Room' where the series of events that had unfolded on the night when the Titanic had sunk were explained in detail.
Arnav's eyes kept shifting from the screen to Khushi on several occasions.
He noticed that Khushi closed her eyes when the iceberg hit the Titanic. And when the ship broke into two, Khushi
held onto his hand tightly.
Arnav(thinks): I hope I havent committed a mistake by bringing Khushi o'er here? The way she starts relatin herself to every other movie or story,I just hope she wont start relatin herself to the passengers of Titanic. After watchin all this,she should not get afraid inthe cruise liner thinkin that it'll meet the same fate as the Titanic!
Once the light & sound show was over,ArShi went to see the exhibition 'Gateway to the world',which was basically about the Southampton of the early 1900s & the status it enjoyed of being the major port of England.
Khushi: I just cant believe it! The port that we see in these pics is it same huge port where r ship arrived this morning? *when Arnav nods* Southampton has shown tremendous progress in the last century,hasnt it?
Arnav: Every city shows progress after a considerable amount of time. And 100 years is not a small span of time. The thing which makes Southampton special when compared to other cities is its Phoenix like quality!
Khushi(frowns): Phoenix?
Arnav(surprised): Dont u know bout the Phoenix? As in.. rise of the phoenix from the ashes?
When Khushi shook her head,Arnav told her the story of the phoenix.
Khushi: How is this Phoenix related to Southampton?
Arnav: U'll get to know the answer pretty soon. (holds her hand) Come..
They went to see the second exhibition which was called 'Southampton's Titanic story'.
Khushi was shocked to know that the larger part of Titanic's crew belonged to Southampton.
While the ship was being evacuated,the men had to stay behind due to the 'women & children first' protocol.
Preference was also given to first class passengers over the second & third class ones.
While the survival rate of first class passengers was 60%,that of the third class passengers was only 24%.
Almost 500 houses in Southampton lost their breadwinners.
Hundreds of children,including several new born babies,became orphans.
This knowledge reduced Khushi to tears.
Arnav wrapped his arm around her as they listened to the audio testimonies of the survivors.
Once they were through,ArShi went to the Galle' cafe for refreshments.
Arnav: R u okay?
Khushi: yes. What about u?
Arnav(nods): I'm fine. What'll u have?
Khushi: Tea.
Arnav: And?
Khushi: Thats it. I dont want anything else.
Still Arnav ordered chocolate chip cookies to go with the tea.
Once the waiter left,Arnav placed his hand on top of Khushi's which was resting on the table.
Khushi: Till this date I thought that I was unfortunate coz I could not meet my amma & babuji for 1 last time before they died. I did meet them but I never knew that they would come home as dead bodies! I could never tell them how much I loved them & how much I owed to them! I always complained to Devi Maiyya that..
*Flashback*
Khushi: If U wanted to call my amma & babuji to Heaven,why didnt U make them sick? That way I wouldve got a chance to serve them.. I couldve seen them before they passed away,talked to them,taken care of them & clicked lots of pics with them! Amma couldve spent some time with her jiji. Naniamma couldve prepared me to face their death. But no! U never did that! U snatched them away from me without letting me know of it! Why Devi Maiyya? Why did U do that?
*Flashback ends*
Khushi: But after watching all that we did today,I feel that I'm not that misfortunate. Atleast I could see my parents' dead bodies before their last rites. I have the solace that each of the rites,from chauthaa to tervi were done properly. But the ones who lost their family members in the Titanic, they couldnt even get the good fortune of performing the last rites. Apart from that,they had to deal with monetary issues which arised to the sudden death of the earning member/s of the family. Despite all this,the kind of courage which the people of Southampton have exhibited is applause worthy! They started all over again & took their city to the heights where it stands today! (smiles)U were right when u said that Southampton is like the
pheonix!
Arnav: Can I say something else?
Khushi: Ya,sure!
Arnav: U're not unfortunate!
He pauses to gaze intently in her eyes.
Arnav: Those who r unfortunate do not get a second set of parents once their parents die! Niether do they get a second house,love & a secure childhood.
Khushi: U're absolutely right!
Arnav: In that case,dont ever consider urself unfortunate again,hmm?
Khushi nods before standing up from the seat.
Just then the waiter arrived with their tray.
Khushi waited till he was gone before sitting next to Arnav & wrapping her arms around him.
Arnav made a mental note while patting her head.
Arnav(thinks): When Khushi becomes emotional,she forgets bout feelin shy and/or embarassed.
The same thing happens when she's tensed,like it happened in the cruise liner today.
That reminds him of something & he breaks the hug.
Arnav: I hope after seein all those u wont think that just bcoz Titanic sank,our cruise
liner will also sink?
Khushi: Dont say such things! And no,I'm not scared.
Arnav(sighs): Thankfully!
Khushi: Now,shall we have our tea-coffee? We're yet to see a lot of things.
Arnav: Sure! From here we'll head to the wild planet photo museum.
Khushi: Alright. and where do we go after that? As in... where r we goin from here?
Arnav: To the Mayflower theatre.
Khushi's face lit up with a 1000 watt smile.
Khushi: U're takin me out for a movie?! (smile faded a bit)It will be an Angrezi movie,right?
She continued without waiting for the answer.
Khushi: But thats okay! Today I'm ready to watch it,that too willingly! (sighs)Its been a while since we've watched a movie
together.
Arnav: I know that but we wont be watchin a movie. We'll be watchin a play,for a change.
Khushi(surprised): Play? Oh wow!
Arnav: And not jus the play,we'll be allowed to go behind the scenes & see what all happens o'er there.
Khushi: It'll be great fun! we've never watched any plays till date. I never thought I'll sit n watch a play with u someday..
Arnav(tucks her hair behind her ear): Lets watch a play of my choice tonight. The next time I visit Mumbai,I'll take u along. And then we'll watch a play of ur choice in the Prithvi theatre.
Khushi(grins): Thanks!
Arnav: Now,have ur tea & lemme hav my coffee before it turns cold!
Khushi(realizes): Ya,ya..
She goes to sit at the other side of the table.
While stirring her tea,Khushi made a silent prayer.
Khushi(thinks): Hey Devi Maiyya! Please grant peace to the souls of all those who died in the Titanic!
Arnav: What r u thinkin?
Khushi: Nothing!
He took a chocolate chip cookie & put it into her mouth.
Arnav: Its been more than 100 years since the Titanic sank..
Khushi: huh?
Arnav: Do u really think that the souls of all those who died at that time must not be at peace even after sucha long time? The survivors must've also died by now & their souls must've also attained peace!
Khushi nearly spat out the half chewed cookie.
Arnav(pats her back): Relax!
He smiles while taking a sip of his coffee.

A shocked Khushi looks up from the laptop to find Arnav with a know-it-all smirk on his face.

someone else is hanging! Their hands r somewhere,feet r somewhere else while their mouths r far,far away from each other!

Arnav: Ya,they r! Everyone has a.. different definition for sex,Khushi. (points to the laptop) For some,sex simply means union of
sex organs.(points to Khushi) While for someone else it means intimacy! In that case,the union of sex organs isnt the only thing involved.. love,emotions,thoughts-sex is a combination of all of these!
Khushi(nods): Everyone has a different viewpoint &.. (smile)I'm glad that we share the same views on this topic! For both of us,it holds one meaning & that is the combination thing.
Arnav(acts clueless): Which topic r u talkin bout?
Khushi(rolls her eyes): Sex,sex,sex! Hmph! He's not satisfied until I say it out loud for him!
Arnav grins while lying down on the bed.

aww...Arnav is such a perfect husband.

the way he takes care of her and fulfill all her wishes is so sweet.

loved their titanic pose.

loved the way he tried to make her feel comfortable with the blouse and asked her to trust him.

she surely trust him a lot but she is just shy.

but Arnav was right that whenever khushi gets emotional or tensed she forgets about feeling shy.

Arnav trully knows her inside out.
