Why can't today's stars show grace?

Look at this, 3 of the biggest stars and rivals of their times.

It is said Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand never got along with each other. Still these guys appeared together at some events and posed for public, media, giving memories for so many fans.

Rajesh Khanna openly used to speak against Amitabh yet these guys worked together in films and appeared together at several events.

What is the problem with today's stars, especially Khans? They have so much problem with each other that 3 of them never appeared together at same time, same event anywhere? They may not want to work in same films (fine as their cinema is different). But why even in their youth they never appeared together anywhere?Interview? Concert? TV show?

They cannot even fake it?

Why can't they show at least social grace?

Fans love stars so much but no one has ever seen them together except for morphed pics made by fans and media! Or standing poles apart, as in pics from 3 Idiots premiere...😕

The current bunch are pretty cordial to each other when they meet ... By current bunch I mean Ranbir, DP, Sonam and all those who debuted after them..

they obviously do. Exceptions will always be there. Salman and Aamir, two biggest superstar out of 3 are very good friends.
Salman has problems with SRK but still arbaaz and malika are very good friends of SRK.

If they fake it then people will start bitching that why cant these guys be real. Moreover journalism has gone to a new level now. Even if a big superstar does a small thing, it goes public within matter of minutes. Same wasn't before. So it was easier to hide your personal differences and fake it in public.

To be honest, I think having such massive and obsessive fanbases is a bane in itself for the industry...I'm talking about the kind of rabid twitter fans who attack people who give any form of criticism to their fav or their movies...posting death threats n stuff...I'm not saying the actors in the prev generations didn't have massive fans...but there wasn't as much negativity associated with the competion...the competition was healthier wherein being a fan only meant admiring ur fav actor and not wishing bad to his competitors...atleast thts wht my dad tells me...which is why ab snr used to act with dharam and Vinod khanna without having any qualms or egos...the khans used to act with each other and be nice to each other too when the fanbases were comparitvely less obsessive and vocal...

Even down the south, rajni and kamal used to act in so many films together...then massive fanbases happened and now the producers are scared to even bring them together for a film because they dunt want to upset fan groups regarding one having a bigger role, or more songs in the film or more heroic scenes in the film...

Amazing collections and craze aside, this pressurises the actor to do roles his "fans" would like and therefore cause him to limit himself...and perhaps even boost the actors ego to irreversible sometimes career destroying levels...as fun as hero worship sounds, it's ridiculous how seriously it's taken in our film industries...

I do think such negativity between their fans also affects their relationships with each other to an extent...

Competition is bigger..
Also most of the times these so called "rivalries" are created by their own teams because let's face it..

Rivalries = Fanwars and unnecessary media frenzy which helps keep them in the news. Any publicity is good publicity.

Salman and Aamir with Akki. It is not the same as the 3 biggest stars together. You will find loads of pics of either two Khans but never 3 of them together. I do not remember seeing 3 of them together even in New Year and Independence Day specials in 90s (where stars would come together irrespective of camps).
Rivalry is one thing, what's the problem in appearing together even once? They will no longer be hot property? 😲

I think the Khans are cordial with each other. Apart from a few instances in the beginning when the fall out happened...they really only have to say nice things about each other...SRK and Aamir have been warm towards each other even if its a facade..

@ Pathaka...so true...My father was a huge fans of AB Sr...I don't think there was even one movie that he missed...but I never heard him talk bad about any other actor...it was like he like AB Sr ..and thats it😆
