Thanx every1. Bazigar, yeah i been thru that exp. in Brindavan, they pulled us and sit thru a pooja or aarti ansks 5000 rs.. in the name of my son or our ancestors, naagdosh, pitrudosh, all the scary stuff.. and what not.. been thru that.

I visited India, Delhi two years back with my friend, with my blah Hindi language skills and yet did not face any issue. In fact I lost my mobile phone and some random Delhi fella found it for me. It was such a good experience for me

You can take a taxi. People are too fearful. Don't worry about these things based on other's experiences or fears. As long as you are practical and smart do your own research and keep a low profile you should be perfectly fine.

I m not scared blv me.. I m just being safe and also want Comforatble journey. Its just no matter how good my hindi or gujarati dialects r.. ppl can str8away figure out we r NRIs. I normally give more than they charge if the service is good. I count it in NZ dolllar which is 50 Rs.

Me too. But believe me things are not as awful as people make it seem. You seem cautious so I think you would be fine. I survived in India for a year and I was told a lot of nonsense I just chose not to believe in any of it. Yes, there are crazy psychos around, but so are the decent folks. I hope you run into the later.
