Okay .. i have this idea to open a new topic! 😳
Gustakh Dil , as per name goes , we have hearts going through dilemma , confusion , pain and happiness in the show .. but let us discuss what We , Gustakhians , feel about it! 😃

we have four kinds of emotion going in the show ...
Ishu's Love for Nikhil
Nikhil's Love for Ishu
Nikhil's soul connection with Laajo ( as still we can't name it Love , acc to show , but his heart had sensed her illness .. so what should we call it? )
And Laajo's Love for Nikhil

now u don't need to fit ur answers acc to above four types .. but let's discuss how and what we feel about this emotion called Love? and in GD have we found it or not? :D

love a most complex emotion I must say... ishana's love for nikhil is also love as laajo's love also love... both are real at their perspective... Actually we have to find out what is love at first, n people say who goes after definition becomes the philosopher not the lover... May be love is sacrificing oneself whole ly without having any expectations... But expectations do come and that's why there is so pain in love. Then what is love exactly...

I got confused and made u too. lemme think and come up again in the thread..

The love is what Nikhil has for laajo..unfortunately it is so sad that it is more platonic a the moment ,it is connection with his soul.

He needs to sit and think why did his heart sense Laajo's despair.

so love for me is what Nikhil has for laajo

and what ishaana and Nikhil have for each other is habit ..lets see how long it continues before the irritation kicks in

As per Laajo's love for Nikhil --she is a pure soul and she loves everyone with depth and intensity. For her Nikhil's smile is what satisfies him, even if it hurts her but his happiness sis all that matters. Yet her heart craves for his love...so even she has expectations from him but just that she knows they cannot be fulfilled.

For sure he dont love Ishu, but he drive me crazy how sometimes he behave like dumb sorry fans for my words, but really he is to much naive.

But he start to feel something for her, but only problem he "think" that is in love with Ishu. Only we must wait for miracle that he cant see reallity.

How he care for Laajo, for sure is love. Not only as Ishu said guilty no way.

It is not easy to define or explain what love is, because it varies from person to person. The essence of love remains the same, but for every person it usually has a different meaning.

Take the lead characters of Gustakh Dil for instance. For Lajoo, love means thinking about others and making sure they are happy at all cost, even at the cost of her own happiness, be it for her village, family or Nikhil. She only draws the line when it comes to her self respect.

For Ishana love is like a possession, where the ownership belongs to only her. Nikhil for her is like her favorite toy, which she cannot share with anyone, and when destiny forced her to share Nikhil with Lajoo, her love suddenly became a game, where her goal was only to win back her toy (Nikhil) from the girl (Lajoo) who dared to come in to their lives and she had no choice but to share it with her.

For Nikhil love is GUILT, because that is what he has been taught since he was a child and lost his elder brother. All his life since that incident he has been taunted and blamed again and again by his mom that he killed his brother, which made him feel guilty, so for him loving his mom meant living with the guilt of killing his brother.

The other person he loves in his family, is his BABA, for whom he went to Sonbarsa for, and ended up marrying Lajoo, again out of guilt, which his BABA made him feel, that is why he came back to Sonbarsa to marry Lajoo, out of his own will.

Last but not the least, the person he loves the most and can't live without, according to him, is Ishana. In my opinion she cashed on Nikhil's guilt about being the reason for killing his brother, and became his lifeline. I have never seen Inshana go against Barkha even once in all this time, and tell her off that she needs to stop blaming Nikhil for what happened, and give him the motherly love he desperately needs and yearns for. Why would she, the more Barkha distanced herself from Nikhil, the more closer he became to Ishana.

If that wasn't enough, after he married Lajoo, Ishana took him for another guilt trip ride, this time about marrying Lajoo and not thinking about her and their love. But she wasn't as direct as Barkha, she pretended to understand him and his circumstances, yet every opportunity she had, she made him feel guilty for hurting her.

No wonder Nikhil is such a weak man, because the pattern fo his life is that whomever he has ever loved, has made him feel guilty about something, or used his guilt for their own means.

So if we look at Nikhil and his life in this context, then its not difficult to understand why he hasn't realized his love for Lajoo, because she has only tried to keep him happy, never used his guilt as a weapon. She did what anyone in love does, she let Nikhil free, because she did not want to be the reason for Nikhil feeling guilty about anything.

Good question raised!!!!👏For me the pure love is what lajjo does to nikhil .Her love is very innocent,pure,honest,and always giving in the relationship but in returns she does not expect any thing.I think this is true love and not the one where nikhil and ishana always roam confused and babysit eachother.There love is not love but a suffocation for them. Ishana and nikhil are very self centered and selfish.Infact i think nikhil came to sonbarsa just because he is guilt concious .Whereas lajjo came to sonbarsa so that nikhil stays happily with ishana.Now this is the difference.😳.Has ishana done this like lajjo the answer is no...ishana is not ready to fly alone to london this is because she dont trust that nikhil would come later...😕

agreed Di ..i too believe in Nikhil's love :')
and i won't say what Ishu has for NIkhil is not love ..maybe it is but i just can't relate to it .. and Nikhil doesn't love Ishu for sure .. :D
And,Laajo is of that kind who love to love others ..she has found happiness in this way that when others r happy,she is happy ..she wants others to be happy and then it reflects on her :) ..but sometimes the pain just crosses limit </3
