That is why guilt doesn't work on him when it comes to Lajoo because he knows how strong she is, knows it is better for him to divorce her, so she can stay with her family, and not spend her life with him, because things will never change for her if she goes back with him. He keeps saying he loves Ishana and wants to spend his life with her, and that is why he wants to divorce Lajoo, but deep down his reason for divorcing Lajoo, is more for HER sake then HIS, because he knows at some level that he is a weak person, and he isn't strong enough to take Lajoo back and protect her from the mentality and cruelty of his family and the so called society.
He doesn't realize, all his actions is that a man in love, who wants the best for the woman he loves. And he does love her, if he didn't, he wouldn't have sensed the danger Lajoo was in beforehand. He may have spent many years with Ishana, but he is only connected to Lajoo. That what love is !!

Exactly .. He exactly feels the same you said ..he is week and won't be able to give her what she deserves .. he wants betterment of HER .. and he just can't make others believe so .. it is so evident to see his face that he doesn't even feel for ishana now .. Ishana is one barrier in his life and he is too weak to aside her so he better believes in letting Laajo free ..
and i may sound unpractical but his inetraction with ishana are dsigusting for me! seriously .. how can u call each other 'tu' when u love each other? i may sound back dated,yet i m from this generation,i mean how? it lacks respect so much and even understanding?is it some road side guy-girl roamcing around? it feels baseless to me ..i knw many ppl won't agree on this with me ..but i really feel disgusted to such interactions!
agreed ..he is too much in Love with Laajo .. so what if he can't realize it? but i can sense it ..it has been his instinct from day one ..to protect her .. to save her .. to be with her .. he is just smitten by her .. so what if he doesn't accept it?!!!! Love is something really simple,honest and beautiful thing ..it doesn't demand such promises or guarantees .. even if that person is not with you,you will always feel completed .. this si why it is beautiful <3
