Rudra and Laila ...The Great Debate...

Lets start with Laila ...so she is a self proclaimed Naachnewaali - a nautch girl (nautch btw is anglicisized word for naatch). This does not make her a prostitute or a street worker automatically but lets assume she is a working girl. She met Rudra 8 years ago and has been his for taking since then. (from what we gather).
Now she has earned the word vamp. A woman who uses her sex appeal to seduce a man. Soassuming it was not Rudra who seduced her in the first place cos he wanted some sexual gratification, and having seen him Laila seduced him she fits into that definition especially if she dragged an unwilling Rudra to bed playing on his weak side the need for sexual gratification.

So she is a vamp according to those assumptions...but what then pecludes her from being a woman, one who can fall in love and one who can feel dejected and one who could then be very angry ( hell hath no fury and all that)

Now coming to Rudra lets just assume he was the one seduced (just to keep Laila the vamp) ...what made him go back to the same woman for 8 yrs. The times that they showed them having sex or meeting its been him that went to her. Also it has not been purely sex has it . He eats there, talks there, seeks comfort there. For 8 long years he chose for her to be his confidant and lover. It is a relationship. He might not have given verbal commitment but he did show by action.

A relationship is after all contact between two or more people. There was intimacy for a prolonged number of years. what they both inferred from it may be different yet a relationship there was ..

So how do they move forward ...its in their misunderstanding of what this relationship is/was that is going to form the crux of how it is going to go forward...

By the way at this given point of time Paro has no role for it is Laila and us the audience that infer that Rudra has either fallen in love or is going to fall in love with Paro...

tangy you make posts and you go missing 😊
rudra discusses about paro to laila , i see her as his companion
this is paro and rudra's story agreed , cvs might take the easy route , if laila is negative then no possibility of choice or guilt , but what is the hurry
i feel lets hate her then , right now she has done nothing wrong to be hated
in fact i found nothing wrong about that much debated catch where she spins and faints in rudra's arms
technically correct over rudra's advances towards a scared and helpless paro
but the question is from where we began this is paro and rudra's story

Agree wat u say..
I have a feeling that CVs has changed the story line to some extent after receiving the hartedness showing towards rudra/ laila relationship.. Even in IF members go crazy if laila appears on the screen😆.. Wish cvs dun change the storyline from IF members( mostly teenager here..😊 )point of view..

LOL sorry I just pop in now and again for reprieve ..😛

Laila was hated the moment she appeared to have a physical relationship with Rudra (and we blame the creatives for taking the easy route...their work is done already if hate for Laila is the cue for this show)

Hate her if you must ...but her anger is still legitimate
on a larger platform i find this reaction a reflection of social thinking ...the need to prescribe "working women" with the vamp title therefore absolving any crime against them..since they dont have feelings and they invite ridicule and bad treatment.

oh the trip fall catch dhakdhak are Paro's to have and to hold no one i tell u NO ONE can intrude on that ...

Agree with you totally... its based on assumptions!! And calling Laila vamp bcoz of assumptions and getting angry with Rudra is not right! I dont see a reason to hate her for that/... for all i have seen so far.. she has done and have been more to Rudra than anyone else in his Family/bsd!!
They did have a relationship... Rudra is not a boy who can be fooled or seduced for 8 long year... it was shown that he himself seeks her out for comfort and sexual gratification! so basically Paro (unintensionally) stealing him away from her... "the other woman" so to speak!
"By the way at this given point of time Paro has no role for it is Laila and us the audience that infer that Rudra has either fallen in love or is going to fall in love with Paro..."
Could not agree more...

sad but true , but i dont understand is in a platform like IF where we have a significant number of working women why is this stigma
somewhere i refuse to believe that they is how majority of the women think , i like to believe it is changing , dont break my bubble tangy
@tanisha
i think so too , there has been a change in their treatment of laila's character , she went completely missing trps might be the reason

I don't know if CVs will change the storyline just because hate mails pour in.but to garner mor TRps,they might tweak the storyline.maybe they are not showing bold scenes just to calm everyone down, but Laila is still there larger than life.

Whatever be Laila's profession before she met Rudra, she has been exclusive to him for the past eight years.
Whether we like it or not, Rudra too has willingly joined that equation by repeatedly seeking comfort from her and using her as his confidant.

So yes, they are in a relationship - we may not have a clear definition for it but there is give and take, and there is an unspoken bond between the two.

Naturally, Laila is a warm blooded human who has emotions, feelings and expectations. She may be wrong to expect anything from Rudra but we cannot invalidate her feelings and brush it off, just because she is a nautch girl. She is a girl first, irrespective of her profession.

Everyone's ready to make Laila disappear because she is an inconvenient past of Rudra. Well, no one tied Rudra to the bed and asked him to engage in mental/physical relationship with Laila. She is part of his past, and try as much as he want, he cannot escape a face down with her, however unpleasant that might be.

Vamp? What is vamp? To Rudra Paro is the vamp, who hides the truth and is a terrorist. To Dilsher Mala is the vamp, to us Laila is the vamp. A vamp because they do not fit the convenient, neatly packed with a bow tie on top definition of clean, pure relationships.

Fine, if you want to enjoy the big bad wolf's turn as a lamb catalyzed by Paro, its one way of enjoying the story. However, it makes me uncomfortable that a man can sleep with a woman who has expressed her desire and exclusivity to him, and then he can easily dust off and walk out of that relationship without consequences. And for him to suffer those consequences, Laila must react.

.Its the show business at the end of the day.. They are getting feedback from these online forum and social networking sites.. .
Laila is the main character in RR apart from main lead.. Hope cvs do the necessary justce to the character.. Not to show her complete negative for the sake of parud's love story..
