Chapter 6: Fresh Face of the Year goes to..

Next day is Sunday, normal holiday for all of us, much awaited for many and disliked by few. Arjun is one of them and the reason is Purvi, though he can get to see Purvi any day any time, still he already has started enjoying Purvi in classes.
A message blinks in Arjun's mobile and the number is indicating from Purvi's cell phone.
"please come to the Chruch Gate around 9am. I will be waiting for you, it's urgent so can't tell over phone, from your friend Purvi"
The message is small, but there is a word called "urgent" which has made Arjun little worried. He reaches the venue before time. Now, old Church Gate is not so famous for everyone, as this place is not commonly used by public. This was the place where little Purvi and Arjun used to come during childhood days for playing their stupid games. Purvi comes little later.
"Is that everything alright, Purvi? why have you sent me that urgent message which you can't say over phone. please tell me, I am dying, I am so worried for you" says Arjun
"arre chill chill, that's not so big urgent, actually I need a small help from you" Purvi is trying to make Arjun calm.
Arjun: help!!!what type of help?
Purvi: Arjun, I know, every year our college organises Fresh Face of the year and the last date for submitting the entry is tomorrow and I want to register my name there.
Arjun: But this is for the first year student nah, and you are in second year. If you joined last year, this could apply for you..
Purvi: yea yea i know it, but last year I was not a student of your college nah? I just took admission this year, so I am the fresher one.
Arjun:but Purvi, college has to maintain some rules, how can it break it??
Purvi: I am not saying to break it, if there is rule, there must be any loopholes nah? and here, I need your help. You go and convince Principal sir, he loves you, he will surely agree with you..please Arjun, you have to do it for me..please Arjun, bas itna sa help kar do..
Arjun..but..hummm..achha okay, I will try, if he agrees I will submit your form too, but what about Manav uncle? have you taken permission from him too?
Purvi: I have asked that Arjun will be there in that event and he will take care myself too and I said papa that you specially want me to participate here..you know nah he loves and trust you so much, so he has given the permission.
Arjun: now I am feeling sad Purvi, you have lied to your papa..I was even not aware about it
Purvi: what lies Arjun...kuch achhe ke liye agar thoda sa jhoot bol na pare toh jhoot achhe hay and I am not harming anybody, I just want to fulfill my dream in career Arjun, you know I was doing small modelling in Australia too, one day I will be counted as top super model in India..don't your help your friend to fulfill her dream??
Arjun: okay Purvi..I will try..I can do anything for you ..
Purvi: Thanks Arjun, you are my sweetheart. I will give you a big treat, pakka wala promise.
and she hugs him. Purvi knows that only Arjun can do it and eventually, Arjun manages everything. First he has helped Purvi to register her name for the contest by convincing Principal sir, after that he also has a good talk with Manav. Everything is going so smooth for Purvi. In college she has now good gang of friends like Sachin, Tejas and Arjun too.
On the other hand, Vinay is noticing everything about Purvi. He really likes people with loads of attitude, so he becomes so eager to make Purvi her friend. By this time, the D day means the final day of that contest comes.

"I am please to announce the Fresh Face of the Year, she is good looking,beautiful, gorgeous and intelligent at the same time, she is new here but she has already win our heart by her charming behavior..She is none other than Ms Purvi Deshmukh" announces Principal sir and asks Purvi on stage. He gives her the bunch of flower and the crown. This is the proud moment for Purvi, everyone is standing there in the auditorium clapping for her, she feels so happy and satisfied.

Apke Didar Ko Nikalte H Tare,
Apki Khushbu Se Chalti H Bahare.

Apke Pass Ha Aise Nazare,
Ki Chup-Chup K Chand B Apko Nihare

Vinay says the above sayari while Purvi is coming down from the stage. "congratulation!!!" Vinay says and extend his hands." thank you so much and BTW nice sayari" says Purvi with a wide smile on face while leaving the place.

Vinay: this is nothing in front of you, the world's most beautiful girl
Purvi: Not world's, but Loyal's college only..she smiles
Vinay: But, this college is my world only, so for mine you are the most beautiful girl in this world
Purvi: You talk good and those sayari's are also good, but I would be more impressed if I could hare something original from you.
Vinay:

the rose is red and the sky is blue
oh my beautiful girl, I really like you

This is purely made by me..trust me and I know this only. I wanted to impress you, so I memorised those two sayaries for you only.
Purvi: but how do you know that I am going to win this contest?
Vinay: I knew it on that day when I first met you and you were right, I am the first person standing here to wish you..can we be friends?

Purvi thinks for a while after that shakes hand with the smiling face,"Friends"

While Purvi is busy in making new friends, Arjun is standing at the corner of the same auditorium awaiting for Purvi.

Sachin: You are here Arjun, I am looking for you here and there..chalo let's have some cold drink, by the way, where is Purvi? I want to congratulate her

Arjun: She is there Sachin, she is the new star, so she is mobbed..

Sachin: have you wished her? now wait for her special treat which she has promised you

Arjun: not, not yet, will wish her on the way, she is busy now, aise bhi everyday i drop her home in my scooter, so why hurry, she should now mingle with everyone in this college..

While Arjun is talking about Purvi, Tejas has heard this and comes to Arjun

Tejas: don't you think that Purvi kuch zada hi busy hai in making new friends?

Arjun: no Tejas, give her sometimes, she will be alright.

Tejas: firbhi, did she thanks ever to you?after all you have given..

Arjun:.achha guys, I will catch you later, I must thank to Princi once..

Arjun goes from the place without arguing much with Tejas. That night after the party was over, Arjun is looking for Purvi when Sachin comes to Arjun..

Arjun: Have you seen Purvi here?

Sachin: Purvi? she has already left with Vinay..didn't she tell you?

Arjun: she has left with Vinay..oohhh..yea yea, she has told me once, I forgot..poor memory..Arjun tries to smile

Sachin:hummm..chalo drop me home, I have helped Tejas to get a cab, now you drop me home Arjun.

That is the night when two of them are not sleeping..that is the night when everything seems so perfect still something is missing, that is the night after that some lives will be changed..
