masti- completely agree. I will quit if they show Ovi or her baby dying or something as disgusting to show ARVI re-unite. And yes, I really hope, by the idea of sensibility, Arjun realizes how how lucky he is to have had a wife like Ovi. No rubbish bullshit idea of Purvi;s love can beat the childhood love Ovi has had for him.
I know that people think she is negative because she never understood Arjun's love for Purvi. Yes, she was shown as a negative hyper spoilt brat in the show who came in between the great lovers. But, I think Purvi came in between them because Arjun was always first for Ovi. And then both the great lovers simply dumped her and made great love to each other, while the girl was left with her delusions about her love and best friend. Yes, she made the deal and it is wrong, btu what matters is what she did after that. She did destroy the wedding that was meant for Arvi, but those two let it happen. Post that scene, she went and told her dad upfront and maintained on making the marriage work despite the hatred her husband showed her. She also slowly tried to make her peace with Purvi, but those two lovers never let her. The eye-locks, the constant mentioning of the past, the halwa making and sly clandestine meetings, it all just made her insecure even more. Even then, she directed her anger towards Purvi, not really at Arjun, her husband.
Ovi makes mistakes, like a real person, but she also makes an effort to make up for them. If she yells at Arjun, she apologizes, if she makes attempts to kill her baby, she realizes and then vouches to give the baby all her love. All she needs is a little love and attention from her husband, because no one else seems to care about her. If Arjun gives her a little attention, she lights up and decides to give her all to him, the baby and her marriage. This makes her my favorite character on the show now. She puts blatant truths in the face of people without hiding them, and she is not dumb either to let arjun-purvi's sly eye locks go unnoticed. She lays it bare and tells Arjun straightforwardly what she wants. No hidden agendas. No planning and plotting and no manipulation. One deal, and she suffered enough for it. She cannot be compared to Punni, because punni plots and plans for fun, it feeds her excitement. But Ovi does not plot, nor plan, nor indulge in excitement over Purvi;s sorry fate. She simply doesn't care if Purvi is happy or sad. Her only main concern in life is her Arjun. Even if that makes her slightly unfitting of a good daughter or sister, I think it is ok, because it's not like her family is overtly concerned about her either.
Sorry to have been on a rant about her, but I just couldn't help feel sorry for her and disgusted at how the CV's might destroy her character further or give her a pathetic fate on the show :(
