I agree completely with your views on all these points.
It is strange that all those who want DK and/or Arjun to try and talk Ovi into being sensible do not realise that this would be like a red rag to a bull.
It is even stranger that they have no similar advice to offer Archana. Yes, it would be tough for her to try and get close to Ovi without getting Purvi to abandon Arjun (now a non-starter), but she should at least try. Why does she not tell the girls the truth about why she did not accompany Manav to Canada? Maybe not the whole truth, but at least what she knows and believes in? That kind of heart to heart is essential for clearing the air, and only then will she be able to make any progress with Ovi on the Arjun issue.
@red. The worst and most incomprehensible thing to me is that she does NOT tell Manav that it was Arjun who saved Sulochana's life. That is to say, it was incomprehensible till I read your explanation about her single-minded concentration on not displeasing Manav. It is a great pity she did not have the same single-mindedness at the time of the chawl demolition affair, or when she handed Soham over to Varsha at the birthday party, in clear defiance of Manav's express warning,

It has outgrown all this, and can survive and thrive on just a glance from across the street. It is this, and even more so the swift emergence of the newly confident Purvi - ready to stand up for her love and her lover, without yielding an inch, even when confronted unexpectedly by Ovi, and in defiance of her aai's diktats - that gives me, and should give us all, fresh hope. Hope that when the chips are down and they have their back to the wall, Purvi will not be Arjun's weakness, his Achilles' heel, but his strength, and that together as one, they will prevail. "
Shyamala,What you said above gladdens my heart like nothing else does. The way Purvi is emerging really boosts our confidence for our boy because I do foresee a refusal from the QM/WSM even with the 10K deposit from Arjun. She reaffirms it in the pre-cap,,"I do not want your family to be unhappy because of my family"...or something to that extent. So, if she gives approval to ARVI, this is not possible. Hence, she will not.
I have always maintained that Archana is doing it more for Manav than for Ovi. Archana's narrow thought process always revolves around not displeasing Manav even at the expense of her own children. I had written on another post yesterday about this. After she came back from the hospital, in her infamous dialogue with Manav ("I do not want to hide anything from you"..) she is almost apologetic that Purvi bailed Arjun out. Why?? She could have said it as a matter of fact. Getting arjun out has nothing to do with his approval.
Have you seen Archana till now trying to deal with Ovi's unhappiness? She has not even attempted to talk to either Ovi or Manav about it till now. Which still surprises me..If she spends half the time trying to work on that, rather than the time she spends policing Purvi at the K house..that would be useful.Such is the sad state of Ovi, in addition to losing her love, she is not getting any help from both her parents regarding this.Well, now that our boy is all set to break the hundi ( a la Manav style, as they all claim !!), let us root for him now that he doesnt fall and break that precious Kirloskar back !! He is getting too overzealous in this mechanic avtaar 😊...Yes, Glad to see that the Arjun Kirloskar still exists in him...maybe not the khadoos anymore..as he claims..but AK prevails..!! Hallelujah !!!
