I feel so angry at Archana that even after what he has done , she was fixing meal for him and looking at him for some loving look when she got hurt . Sometimes I think she is a little slow in the head . How come it is still not hitting her what he has done . Foolish girl she is .
From Archana I had no exxpectations. But it was Baba who shocked me. He says 'meri beti, meri beti' all the time but when his son puts sindoor in Shravani's maang he still asks Archana to fix a meal for him. If he really treated Archana like his beti then why didn't he shout or slap Manav. That was something I wanted to see.
Sometimes I don't know who is right- Damodar baba or Manav. Manav knows that he has made up his mind to marry shravani, so he doesn' want Archana to get any false expectations. so he makes a show of hating her and even when he does something for her, he gives the excuse of humanity. Damodar baba also knows that Manav is firm in his decision, but lets Archana go through all the humilition instead of saying, 'Now if he wants to return, he will come on his own, I'll be there to knock sense into him, but YOU don't need to do this pati-seva.'
Who is wrong here? Damodar Baba who gives Archana false hope (she might never be able to forgive Manav now) and encourages her to suffer humiliation and hurt (Manav didn't eat his food that day and Archana was hurt) or Manav who puts on an act of hatred thinking that these three months will be difficult for her but in the long term if she forgets him it will be fruitful for her.
One more thing. Damodar baba says Archu is his daughter etc etc. but rarely stands up for her. Manav says he has no relation with her, but when his Aai manhandles Archu he shouts and stops her. When she calls her a beggar, he shouts and opposes it and refuses to eat food. When she is sick, Manav takes care of her needs. In all these situations Baba was present, but didn't do anything except for saying that Archu is my beti. Forget all this, Baba was sleeping soundly when Archu was shivering in the kitchen even though he had had dinner with her before and must be knowing she didn't have a sheet. It was Manav who came and put a blanket on her when he noticed it the next morning. Even when Savita pestered Archu to make the complaint, Manav flatly told his Mom not to insist on the complaint, but Damodar didn't even raise his voice. (allright I admit, he used his brain later and that was clever) but it surprises me that he didn't say a single word for her.
Here I am not defending Manav, but am just wondering that who is doing more for Archu- Damodar or Manav? On a comparative basis, definitely Manav, inspite of the fact that he is trying his best to do as little as possible for her since he wants her to hate him. But Damodar has no such compulsion or thought. Then why doesn't he do anything except for saying 'she's my beti.' As such it makes me feel that all Damodar does is to offer emotional support to Archu. It makes me seriously question the fact that people say there is a 'pavitra rishta' between Damodar and Archana. I mean, I agree he is a wonderful FIL but is he doing justice to his daughter? His actions say otherwise.
If this is the pavitra rishta btw Damo and Archu... then I'm sorry to say this but on a comparative basis, I think Manav and Archu's rishta is more pavitra. He doesn' say anything sweet to her, but he cannot see her in problem or pain. At the end of the day that is what one expects from family.
