We all on this forum are wondering about when our gold medalist lawyer will show the world his smartness and intelligence and actually will be successful in his life. To me Men's success is success in his profession and family life.

We have also seen this man Kunal Chopra back to square one where he is in a cocoon again. Everyone wondered what happened in 9 years which i guess was cleared that he can not face the court since he lost his wife in that court. His confidence is lost and so is his strength.

So the question of the day how long can a men (And by men i mean a human here) take to overcome his guilt? We as a human try to find excuse for our failure. But how long can our failure haunt us? These days with the publicity of things like Yoga, Art of living and what not can Men have an excuse to live in his guilt and do nothing?

To me it is the act of a coward. If a men can not overcome his weakness be it physical or mental then he is a good for nothing. Family does help the person to overcome their foes but if the person can not help themselves no one else can help them.

All Humans should have this attitude.

Apna Kaamaao Aur Apna Khaao
Jis main kamane ka mujahada (Striving) nahi, usmain kharch karne ka bhi mujahada nahi.

a year would be enough, They give unemployement benefits for good 9 months here so people are not shocked to see a layoff letter in their hand. they get benefits from government for only 9 months and nothing after that so it constantly plays in your mind that you have to have a job before 9 months.

so I think 1 Year should be more than okay.

I agree guilt takes a long time to heal. But not doing anything about it takes one into further guilt! I feel once you realize the reason for your guilt, you should get up and work towards diminishing the guilt.. do anything that will make it less painful (I don't mean drinking).. rather than whiling away in front of family members whose attitude will only add more guilt! So, I say, best thing to do to get out of guilt is to start working and standing on your two feet! If it was me, I would exactly do that.. get so involved in my work that I forget about everything else! Best way to divert yourself is to work, work and more work!! And also, I don't understand how I can eat for a single day knowing I haven't worked towards getting that food!! Just my thought!!

Bhavi, I think it would vary from individual to individual... some people are more emotional that others...

For the same result, say - failure in an exam, someone can commit suicide and someone else could behave as if nothing happened..

Therefore it depends on an individual, people around him/her, circumstances etc etc...

Is there something called co-efficient of restitution for humans? 🤔 If yes, KC will score very low on that

Ditto Hima 👍🏼. Me too if i can not earn how can i eat despite being a woman of a subcontinent where to dwell on husband's money is every wife's right.😉 😛
On serious note - smarter the person it takes longer for him to get out of his guilt but as you said we have to divert our thought process somehow. How we do that is totally dependent on our upbringing, our surrounding and help from family. But for sure drinking and playing cards will make it worst.
