That is why he keeps enduring through all the taunts from Gaurav and society at large. It is little more than self-pity; but more of self-destruction.

I have felt Kunal does need help from psychologist as he is incapable of letting things go and forgive himself as he feels he doesn't deserve it. Usually acceptance from loved ones help people let things go. Kunal received that acceptance from Siddhi. so not saving the person who accepted you as you are just threw him further down in his own eyes.

But one needs to move on to some extent, while still keep blaming self.

@ red bold... Kunal's family also accepted him the way he is... except for Gaurav everyone still loves him the way it was when he was supposedly a brilliant lawyer.. so this line of reasoning I don't quite agree with.

@ blue - yes he was indeed shown as a failure and as a weak character since the original concept of the show was a failure achieving something in life. It was somehow tolerable at that time since we had hopes that this character would help himself out but some of the viewers have lost their patience and not the CVS/ 😡

@pink - well said. A person can be guilty but that person has to overcome it somehow. Especially when they show on national TV they are conveying the message-"Its ok to drink when you are a failure". 🤢 Love for Siddhi or Love for Richa ? That is a big question. How can he even trust Richa? Even for his mother's sake
The gold medalist is the only species on this earth who does not want to learn from his own mistake😲 😉

Nidhi - agree with you.Jay what is the meaning of acceptance from family? The family loves him, supports him and are always behind his back. Despite Gaurav taunting him Kunal, he still loves him else which brother in right state of mind will support his brother especially when KC is shown drunk and Gaurav has daughters at home. I would not allow anyone drunk around my daughters at any point and time.

Everything said and done, the bottomline is that because of his callous and irresponsbile attitude his son Anand is having to grow up faster than one would like to see in kids. 9 years is not the age for Anand to force his dad to work or even feel guilty about forcing his dad to sell his medal (which by the way Anand is not responsbile for). While Kunal is taking his own sweet time to come out of guilt of not saving his wife, he is spoiling and robbing Anand of his childhood. And I may excuse a character like Kunal for not being able to save his wife, but to do this to a kid, not at all acceptable! 😊

Agree Nidhi but that is the byproduct of the chemical locha which this akdu has. Once the original product is taken care of the byproduct will automatically be of good quality.
The trouble is one need to understand that there is a serious defect in the original quality.

I know i am speaking the language of production and industry but this is exactly what is happening here and hence comparing the human with product here.
