Reality check before I go back to discussing the show on a superficial level.

I wish this show was not as misogynistic as it is. We (me included) are condoning a domestic abuser. The men who regularly abuse or even kill their wives start with a ‘just’ slap or a punch to the wall or intimidating threats about andar ka janwar or wanting to kill her like Murtasim has done. Sure, not every man who slaps his wife or a woman will be a domestic abuser but this is where it starts for those who go on to become chronic abusers.

Can you imagine being married to such a guy no matter now handsome he is or how much he loves you?

And he explains it by saying tum meri baat nahi maan rahi thi?

So Meerab will forever have to give in to her husband or avoid angering him because otherwise she risks getting slapped or thrown about?

SPOT ON! Isse manipulation kehte hai. We have to admit that we are being manipulated by the sho shaa of their looks and Wahaj’s hotness. The fact is in real life girls are getting manipulated like this!

Agree - really confused about the styling. The green outfit in the last scene was very ummm …blah. Hair is much much better with the curls post marriage. Makeup… I dunno… I’ve seen her look much better in other shows. ( She does look great in the reception scene.) I feel like the “less makeup” look for her regular scenes isn’t showing up nicely on camera, or having the effect they wanted. Or are they trying to purposely portray that she doesn’t care? Or this one way for her to give them the middle finger - not giving a care about their grandeur style? I am genuinely confused about the end goal for her look.

Anyways…I guess it doesn’t matter to the chemistry element apparently because they both still deliver the fireworks together. Wahaj said in DNUTN it was effortless to act opposite her because she was so good. So… the chemistry isn’t all just because of Wahaj’s excellent acting, as I feel some folks are implying on Twitter/insta or in reviews.

Her marriage look was so bad

Make up was too loud. Yumna looked so good in parizaad too

If we take this drama for fictional entertainment purpose then yes it has spark, ott element, bangs, chemistry and good direction too. A full on masala content.

But if we look into characters, are not they highly complicated and regressive too. Not just murtasim but meerub is also too rude and batameez. Maybe match made in heaven 😂. Maa Begum, Anwar, Waqas, M&M every character has flaws and few of them give greyish vibes too.

Except that slap his character would be much better. We may get connect with him if that slap would not have happened.

Storyline is so weak, background reference hai hi nhi. In last episode she said she does not hate him anymore. But ab phirse nafrat jaag gayi.

We all know in the end she will fall for him. Hate sy love angle toh shayd interesting ho but they should have told the reason behind this hatred too.

Can’t wait for the overtly romantic scenes!

If she knew about the Haya incident, I might say it’s jealousy, but she didn’t know.

I think she is feeling very insecure with everything happening. And despite her annoyance with him, he has shown that he’s willing to tolerate her bratty behavior and also just help her and be there. Moreover, they do have a family childhood history; she says she’s known him from childhood. I bet she is kind of used to his taxi servicing her and chowkidari type vibes. In this time of insecurity, she probably does actually want him around because of this familiarity and his behavior in the last few episodes, even though she would probably not admit that to herself.
