Part 11-
Avni needed clothes, so Neil had taken Avni out to help decide what she would like to buy
"Oh my god, his face, oh thats disgusting, how can he ever be loved looking like that" a female voice screeched
Avni paused, pushing her hands on his chest, she pushed him back till he was behind her
"When you truly love someone, what they look like doesn't matter, its only what is inside, and if you can't see that, then you are the only ugly person stood here, find it within yourself to look further than first glances and you might find something beautiful, but be warned, talk about my friend like that again and I will snap your neck you self righteous bitch"
The girl glared before walking away
Neil rested his hand on Avni's waist, he had never been protected before, no one had ever stuck up for him, so why was she doing it?
She turned back around to face him, her hand searching for his face, he held her wrist and put her hand on his face
Her fingers tracing his scar
"Dont let it get to you" Avni whispered
"How can you be so good Avni"
"The world was never good to me, everyone struggles, who am I to judge"
Neil smiled at her response
"Thank you, for being my friend"
Avni smiled, the brightest smile he had ever seen, one that took his breath away and he knew from that moment onward he would do anything to see her smile again
The fact that the smile was because of him, caused him extreme happiness
He felt powerful, to be able to make her happy, never had he thought he would possess the power to make someone as pure as Avni smile
He couldnt help but want to remain in this moment, he lifted his thumb, tracing her bottom lip
She let out a gasp as he tugged her waist closer
Neil stopped, he was in no place to get his heart broken again, pulling back he tugged her hand and walked over to the shops
Avni described the things she liked to wear and Neil picked them out, hours had went by as they shopped
A distant voice in his head told him, he wouldnt do this for any other girl
But he ignored it
Basking in Avni's presence he paid and picked up the bags, ready to head back
Surely his eyes were not playing tricks on him, as he saw something he didnt think he would ever see again
His mother
