Neil walked over to Juhi, his hand in Avni's
"Im sorry Juhi, marrying you would be wrong if I dont love you, neither of us should be subjected to that kind of pain"

Juhi stood across from him
"So youre gonna pick a blind woman over me"
Neil grasped Avni's hand tighter

"She will always see more than you ever will"
Juhi raised her hand to slap him but stopped

"Isnt this a true life story of beauty and the beast"
"Youre the only beast here bitch" Avni muttered

Juhi's jaw dropped, shoving past them she stormed away in anger
Neil cupped Avni's face

"I have a surprise for you"
Avni smiled up at him, as he pulled her away back to the comfort of their own room

"Avni, I , well"
"Spit it out stranger"
Neil huffed before taking her hands

"Theres a thing, a type of medication that can restore atleast paritial sight"
Avni sat down, shaking her head

"But its so expensive "
"I have the money"
"No Neil I could never"

Neil cupped her face
"I want to make you happy and I know this is what you want"
Avni went to shake her head
"Just let me make you happy "

Avni pulled him closer
"Oh Neil, I dont know what to say"

Avni nodded into his shoulder

Thoughts on this chapter, obviously this wouldn't happen in real life, atleast I think it wouldnt, but medicine is always moving forward, so maybe one day!

Avni grasped the tablets tightly in her hand
Avni closed her eyes, throwing the tablets in her mouth she downed the glass of water and led down

"Ill be right here with you Avni"
"Thanks stranger" she whispered
Her eyes closed as she sighed heavily

2 Days Later-

A bright torch was shone into Avni's eyes
Avni groaned loudly as she tried to shove the doctor away

Avni sat up slowly, blinking, blurred vision, but vision.
Tears rolled down her face

"Neil , I want to see"
Avni stood up, running out of the room

She fell into something, suddenly dizzy
Looking up she asked
"Neil"

He nodded, not speaking
Avni raised her hand, stroking his cheek
"I can see you" she whispered

Neil flinched
"I was right"
Neil opened his eyes wider, scared of what she would say

She had finally seen him
Would she be disgusted?

"Youre as handsome as I knew you would be, if not more"
Neil couldnt help the grin that took over his face

"My god Avni, I love you"
Avni pulled back "You what"
Neil paused

"Sorry, people say things in the heat of the moment, I just um"
Avni shook her head "No, say it again"

"I love you Avni"
Avni reached up, kissing him on the lips
"I love you to"

Neil and Avni held hands as they awaited Khailash to come

The knock on the door had them both frozen, but just how Neil had been strong for Avni.

It was time for Avni to pay back the favour.
Avni pulled the door open, Khailash's hard gaze remained on her

He shoved past her "Wheres my nephew"
Smiling at Neil , he hugged him

"What's this woman doing here"
Neil pulled back "This is Avni, the woman I love"

Khailash turned back to face her
"Let me get to know the girl alone then"
Neil went to stop him but Avni shook her head

Avni sat on the sofa
Khailash stood infront of her
Neil stood outside the closed doors

Khailash began to undo his belt
"This is how we respect women in this family"

Avni's eyes widened
"Neil" Avni shouted

Khailash's hand covered her mouth just in time
Slapping her across the face he grabbed her by her hair

All at once Khailash's body fell ontop of Avni
Avni pushed him off her

Standing up she looked down at the bullet hole in his head
"Neil you"

Neil pulled her to him "Shush, shush everything is gonna be okay I promise"

3 Years Later-

Neil looked at Avni in a gold shimmery dress, twisting her around he dipped her

Kissing her forehead he brought her up against him
"Your hearts beating so fast" she whispered

"That always happens when you're near"
Avni smiled at his response

"I cant believe how time has changed so much"
Avni laughed
"Me neither, but isnt it great"

"Hm its amazing"
Neil put his hand through her hair
"I am blown away by your beauty every day"

"And I am blown away by how handsome you are"
Neil kissed her before pulling away

Shweta walked over, squeezing their cheeks
"Hey Prakash look at my babies"

Prakash nodded, he was now up in a wheelchair and could say small words and sentences

Avni and Neil leaned down taking their blessings
Prakash grasped Avni's hand

"Marriage"
Avni blushed red

Turning around she saw Neil on one knee
"About that, I thought it was time I made a woman out of you"
He winked

Avni covered her mouth as her eyes glistened
"Marry me Avni and make me the happiest man in the world, theres no woman I could ever love as much as you"

Avni squealed "Of course"
Neil lifted her, spinning her around

Prakash smiled, Shweta bent down kissing his cheek.

Finally, the happy family they were meant to be.
