As she walked away from the dance floor, she felt a hand grab her arm and lead her to a desolate hallway outside the party. She didn't need to lift her head to see who it was, she could sense his touch. She wanted to struggle against his hold, push him away and tell him to go back to Mitali, but she knew that wasn't wise. It would careate a scene, and ruin Ali's party. But as soon as the coast was clear, Avni pushed Neel's hands off.

"Mujhe yahan kyun leke aaye hon, Neel? Jao na, apni best friend Mitali ke paas,Avni gritted.

"Kyun? Ki tumhe time mile apne pyare Ali ke saath chipek chipek ke dance karne ke liye? Neel rebutted, walked towards hers.

But Avni stood her ground, pushing Neel again and again as his back hit the wall whilst she again argued with him,"Tum to apni friend se puri party ke liye hi chipek re thei. Maine toh kuch nahi kahan!

"Aur tum pure din se sirf Ali Ali kar rahi hon! Uske kya, Avni? Pure din sun sun ke pak gya hoon, Neel gritted through his clenched jaw.

"Tum mera saath kab thai? To get annoyed? Tumhe toh iss party ki stupid ladkiyan ke saath puri raat hasna tha. Itna accha suit pehen ne ki zaroorat kyun thi, tumhe?

"Aur tum! Itni acchi toh tum humari shaadi ke liye bhi nahi tyar hoi jitney tum aaj hoi hon. Ali ke birthday special tha tumhare liye. Main kon hoon, koi toh bhi nahi tumhare liye,Neel retorted.

"Neel tum pagal ho chuke hon, kya? Tumhare liye toh mein tyar hoi hoon.

"Toh Avni, tumne koi assan nahi kiya mujhmein. Mein bhi sirf tumhare liye tyar hua hoon, kisse aur ke liye nahi.

"Nahi hone chahiye tha. Mujhe phir bhi accha hi lagta hon!

"Toh tum bhi hamesha se hi acchi lagti hon mujhe, uske kya.

Avni breathed out heavily, trying to gather her thoughts. Neel however took the opportunity to grab her arms and spin her around, making her back hit the wall with an oomph. He was so close that she could smell the liquor from his mouth. There was a silent pause, as both processed the situation. Neel thought about everything that was just said, and his grip on Avni hardened. Not enough to hurt her, but enough for her not to run away. He watched her under his eyelashes.

"Let go of me, Neel. Tumne pee raki hai aur koi aajege?

"Aayne do, Neel replied softly but instanenously. He was staring down at her, his eyes moving from her eyes, to her lips, back to her eyes. His answer made her look up into his brown orbs, that were getting darker every moment.

"Aman aajega, Avni whispered. Neel hadn't moved, but for some reason it felt like he was getting closer to her.

"Aayne do,Neel countered, not letting Avni move from his hold.

"Maa aajegi, Avni whispered, barely audible.

'Aayne do, Neel responded autonomously, this time slowly closing the gap between them. Suddenly, a song blared, bringing both Neel and Avni out from their haze. It was Neel's phone. Avni took Neel's momentarily distraction to free herself, and escape, pushing away Neel's arms and pushing herself off the wall to walk back into the party. Yet, Neel was quicker.

Neel let go of her arms and this time grabbed her waist, turning her around pushing her against the wall. "Kaha jaane ki soch rahi ho, wifey?" His body was flat against hers; his mouth dangerously close to her ear. She tried to struggle out of his iron tight grip, but she couldn't. She wasn't scared of him, nor his drunken stupor. For some reason, she trusted him more than herself. She knew he wouldn't do anything to harm her. She knew he wouldn't do anything to hurt her on purpose. She knew he won't go too far. Right now, she didn't know what too far would be, Neel had blurred the lines of what he was in her life. Friend? Yes but not really. Husband? No but sort of. Lover? Could he be? He had her pinned against the wall, didn't he? He was asserting his possessiveness of her, wasn't he?

Nahi, Avni. Issne pahi raki hai. Paaka, hosh kho bheta hai. Shayad yeh mujhko Juhi samajh bhaita hai.

"Wifey, koi bhi humme dekh sakte hain. I don't care. Tumhare dost tumse chipeke naach sakta hai toh mein tumhare husband hone ke naata se tumse ek quiet hallway ke under chipek hi sakta hoon. Koi kuch nahi kar sakte, Neel hoarsely whispered in her ear, his voice deep and determined.

"Neel, tum hosh mein toh ho na, Avni replied shakily, her voice coming out not as strong as it was in her head.

"Nah hoon, aur nah rehna chahta hoon,Avni, Neel replied, putting an emphasis on her name, and this time lightly grazing her ear with his warm lips. He waited for her reaction, he waited to see if she would push him off her, but she didn't. She melted into his arms, either from the sensation her ear was feeling or the fact that he emphasised her name, she didn't know which one. Avni's breath hitched, as Neel moved his cheek against hers, his lightly stubble pricking her soft skin. Avni quietly relished the feeling, her hands finding their way to his shoulders.

"Neel... Avni managed out, it was supposed to be said in a warning manner, she was supposed to remind him that they weren't alone-alone, they were just outside-alone from a party, that anyone could walk in on them. But her voice came out breathy, and it sounded more like a soft purr or a groan. Neel snuggled in his face at the crook of her neck, kissing it lightly, making her lightly gasp, and in turn, she squeezed her fingered against his shoulders. She could feel his smile on her neck. She felt her cheeks warm up.

Just then, both heard a cough coming from behind them. Not a normal cough. The cough someone made to signify their presence. Avni tried to spring out of Neel's embrace, but Neel just slightly loosened it, leaning on her still as he turned his head towards the person who oh-so-rudely interrupted them.

It was Sidhant. He smirked at the couple in front of him. Avni looked like a dear who got stuck infront headlights, whereas Neel looked like he was just slightly annoyed of Sidhant's presence. Neel still had Avni in a loose embrace.

"Kya Avni Bhabhi. Aap ne toh party host kari thi, aap hi party mein nahi hon. Avni struggled for words, not being able to look Sidhant in the eye. She mustered her power jto push Neel off her and walking back into the party. Neel remained quiet as she left, watching her retreating figure. However as soon as she was gone, Neel turned his attention to Sidhant.

"Tu mera dost hain, ya dushman? Neel complained.

"Of course, dost, SIdhant replied, smirking, knowing that Neel wouldn't be happy with either answer at the moment.

"Hum kitne dher se iss party pe hain? Kum se kum 3 hours. Aur yeh pehla waqt tha mujhe milha meri biwi ke saath. Tumne uss me bhi taang lagati, Neel pouted, slumped down to sit on the floor.

"Neel, tum theek toh ho na?

"Nahi hoon.

"Kya hua, Neel?

"Woh mujhse dhoor hoi jari hai.

"Neel, Avni yahin toh hain. Itni bhi doori bardasht nahi ho rahi?

"Nahi, Sidhant. You don't get it.

"What don't I get?

"Kuch din mein humare divorce ke papers aa jayege.

A bit different, this part all focused on one scene😉

Sorry if the end of this part was bad, I couldn't think of another ending.Sorry if it is too ooc too. I tried to keep the characters as real as I could but I failed a bit.
