But love isn't about point-scoring, right? Tit for tat, she hurt me so me hurting her is justified?
Veer would never do this to Bani in his right mind, and that is what rankles most about this situation. If, in his right mind, Veer turned around and said to Bani "I'm hurt at the way you treated me, so I am done with you" - then perhaps that would be justified (in a situation where Bani wants his love and he is no longer willing to give it).
This isn't about Bani getting her "just desserts" for how she mistreated Veer, because Veer. Would. Never. Do. This. This is the writers using the stick of magic/memory loss to punish Bani for something Veer would never, ever punish her for. Bani doesn't deserve to be punished now for something her husband has already forgiven her for, long ago, and that too only because of some external manipulation. That isn't justice, it's torture.
Na, re. You're right in the point that love isn't about point scoring. But karma is about point scoring. Making it even.
Veer hai hypnotized warna the whole point of point scoring doesn't come. Karma has nothing to with love. One doesn't bring karma. It comes on its own.
Veer yeh sabh jaanbujh kar nahi kar raha, I know that totally.
Whoever said Karma isn't torture. Trust me. It isn't anything short of torture.
Veer ne yeh sabh bhula diya. The point isn't if Veer is doing this at all. That is not the talk at all. Veer hypnotized hai tabhi yeh kar raha hai warna sawaal hi nahi aata about him doing this to her. Na.
Veer can honestly never be done with Bani especially when she's coming to him. My whole point is that it doesn't make me feel really bad for Bani because she's done worse to him. As a third person who's seen both the sides, I don't feel that bad for Bani.
I call out on the shitty writing too. I'm not a fan of this stupid hypnotism track either but its just what I think.
But i agree with some of your points.
