Amazing update..👏👏👏👏..loved the explanation of how veer got saved..it was brilliant..and super glad his powers are back...and now he has no connection with the evil markaat. But I hope no more possession drama happens..can't see veer not being himself again..the show has scarred me regarding that.

I'm loving how ballu is slowly and steadily becoming a father figure to bani 💖💖.

And the best scene.. Veer's teasing wink at bani and bani blushing at that😍😍..(I know I'm silly but vani scenes make me super happy.)

Last but not the least,my dear author ..take as much time as you want but keep this ff going like this.The torture and heartbreak the show has been giving us and the pain of the show going off air,ONLY this ff has become the balm and anchor to many of us here.For me this ff is the real naagin5.Cant thank u enough for this story ❤❤.

Chapter 62

Markaat stood and looked at the fools he was surrounded with. One of them almost didn’t know when Naagmani was stolen from him. Another one couldn’t keep his crown as the prince. The group of cheels almost useless.

He looked at Shakura. Shakura laughed at Markaat’s expression. Shakura and Markaat had been together for a long time. If there was someone who can simply look at Markaat and tell what’s in his mind, it was Shakura.

“Maine pehle hi kaha tha ki yeh naag kisi kaam ka nahi hai.” Shakura commented. “Loser hai. Capital L.”

Chandrakala, naags with her and several cheels were killed by Bani when she released Naagpash and burnt down without hope of saving by the fire.

“Aye… chup…” Jay shouted.

“Dekh, loser. Apni hadd mein reh. Khud haar ke chala aaya aur jab sacchai dikha rahe hai, chilla raha hai.” Shakura shut up Jay. Markaat started whistling.

“Isko toh Bani ke peeche ghumna hai. Bas.” Jay retorted.

Markaat grabbed Jay’s throat in a moment and pushed him against a tree.

“Tujhe haath mein rakh ke sabh kuch diya tha. Tere unn naagon ko shaktiya di. Veeranshu ki shaktiya cheen liya taaki tere raaste pe naa aaye. Na toh Bani ko maar paaye na hi Veeranshu ko maar ke uski body mere saamne laa paaye. Tujhse kaha bhi tha ki Naagpash ke chalane ke baad bhi bachne ki sambhavna hai agar Veeranshu saare pakshiyo ko ek saath bulata. Sabh Veeranshu ki madad ke liye aate hi. Chahe woh Cheel Rajkumar rahe yaa na rahe. Tumse itna kaha tha ki Veeranshu ko phasao ki saare pakshiyo ko ek saath bulaye woh. Na toh Naagmani apne paas rakh paaye na hi mera kaam kar paaye. Abh Shakura par baras rahe ho. Jahan barasna tha wahan toh sirf garaj ke aa gaye.” Markaat growled at him.

“Apni chaal mein nakaam hua hun haara nahi. Jab tak apne ambition mein successful na ho jaau, tab tak koshish karta rahunga.”

“Yahi fark hai ki kyu tum humesha haarte ho aur Veeranshu humesha jeet jaata hai. Tum haarte ho par Veeranshu nahi. Ek hi baar mein teer sahi jagah lagata hai. Veeranshu ek hi chaal chalta hai par aise chalta hai ki saamne waale ko bachne ka mauka hi nahi milta.”

Chandrakala turned out to be a waste of time. She ended up dying in the fire. Now, Markaat had to think of something. Once again, Veer had found a way out. Veer was free from any bindings from him. No longer could Veer be considered a descendent of Markaat. He’d be seen as descendent of Arun and Garud. It proved up on every scale of reign. The only one who could escape that raging fire would be Alaknanda, the last surviving direct descendent of Garud. From purely that bloodline.

‘Playing well. I should have known you’ll find a way to cut through all my plans’ Markaat growled looking at the sky. Markaat was well aware. As long as Veer and Bani are standing with each other, they’re going to win. She was the perfect shield for him and he was the perfect shield for her.

“Abh in sabh bewakoofo se kuch nahi hoga. Jo bhi karna hai, mujhe hi karna hoga.” Markaat flew off to the temple of Narayan. By the steps, he saw Veer sitting. He was eating an apple.

“Hola…” Veer greeted him in a Spanish accent. “Tumhara hi wait kar raha tha. I presume tum abhi abhi uss dhabewale se milke aa rahe ho.”

Markaat clenched his fists.

“Yahan aake bewakoofi kar rahe ho.” Markaat growled. He tried to pull out his wings but it didn’t come out. Veer laughed.

“Dhabewale ke saath reh reh ke tumhara bhi top floor khaali ho raha hai. Iss Mandir mein koi cheel, koi suparn koi naag nahi. Sabh insaan hai. Sirf panchi hi hai jo yahan udd sakte hai yaa apne panje aur shakti use kar sakte hai. Baaki hum sabh yahan sirf insaan hai.” Veer reminded.

“Toh yahan kya kar rahe ho? Narayan ki sharan le li?” Markaat taunted.

Veer chuckled.

“Trust me. Religious and Veeranshu Singhania ek hi sentence mein nahi aate. Of course, kaafi respect hai unke liye. Unke hone pe sawaal nahi karta bas humesha pooja paat karne waalon mein se nahi hun.”

“Toh yahan kya kar rahe ho?”

“Tumse milne aaye the. This is neutral ground for us. Na toh tum kuch kar sakte ho aur na hi main.”

“Aisa tumhe lagta hai.”

Markaat tried to attack him. Veer ducked and punched him in the face. Markaat tried to punch him but Veer caught it and elbowed him. Markaat threw Veer away and he landed against a tree. Veer got up quickly. Markaat ran towards him. Veer grabbed him and smashed him against the tree.

“Kyu koshish kar rahe ho? I’ve fought against humans with human strength. Bachpan se hi yeh karte aa raha hun.”

Markaat tried to attack him with a dagger, Veer dodged it by moving aside. He sighed and shook his head. Markaat tried to stab but Veer caught his hand and punch him in the gut, twisted his arm, elbowed him and toppled him. Veer kicked away the knife.

“Waise, kaafi better hai…” Veer taunted. “Mujhe laga tum 2 minute bhi nahi tik paaoge insaan banke.”

Markaat stood up. He couldn’t believe that Veer was beating him down in his own game. In Markaat’s eyes, Veer was a child compared to him. He’s been in this world for longer than Veer but still having to lose against Veer was something he couldn’t bear.

“Mere saamne abhi chuze ho tum.”

“Toh buddho ki tarah rocking chair pe baithke doordarshan dekho. Aise apne umar se chote logo se ladai mat karo. Main unn acche baccho mein se nahi jo pair chuke Dadaji ka aashirwaad le. Mera paara chadha toh walking stick help se chalne layak bhi nahi bachoge.”

“Veeranshu….” Markaat roared.

“Ssshhh…. Chillao mat BP problems ho jaayenge. Zindagi bhar goliyan khate hue bitani padegi. Relax. Calm down.”

“Tum bhul rahe ho, Veeranshu. Ek baar iss Mandir ki chaukhat paar karoge toh mujhse kaise bachoge?”

“Phir wahi dhabewaale kam akal naag jaisi baat kar di na. Ek baar yaadash par zor daalo, Markaat. Suparno ka shirkaar karna mujhe tumne hi sikhaya tha. Main Aakesh bhi hun aur Veeranshu bhi. Aakesh ko tumne puri zindagi bhar control kiya aas paas ke logo ko control karke. Iss baar kahani hi palat di hai. Iss baar mere aas paas ke saare log mere hi control mein hain.”

“Main koi aam suparn nahi hun. Markaat hun. Isi Mandir ke aas paas bada hua hun.”

“Congratulations, Suryash. Agar tumne apna bachpan yaha bitaya hai ek baar toh maine do baar apna bachpan yahan bitaya hai. 7 saal yahan Veer banke aur 13 saal Aakesh banke.”

“Mere paas Narayan ka kawach abhi hai. Tum mujhe itni asaani se nahi maar sakte.”

Veer laughed at Markaat.

“Aa gaye line pe? Apni aukaad dikha di. Waise toh bada kehte phirte ho ki cheelon ke devta tum ho”

“Main Markaat hun. Sabh mujhse darte hai. Mrityu ka devta hun.”

“Aur main Markaat ka vaaris. I do plan to replace you, yaar.”

Markaat looked at Veer. Veer walked ahead and sat on the steps of the stairs like he owned the place.

“Tum meri jagah loge? Aisa ho hi nahi sakta.”

“Kyu? See. All that is required to be you is to be violent, be really clever, powerful and completely controlling. Aur tumse better yeh kon jaanta hai ki main yeh sabh kar sakta hun.”

“Tum jabse uss Adi-Naagin ke palle bandh gaye ho tabse itne bhi takatwar nahi rahe.”

Veer laughed like Markaat had cracked the funniest joke in all the years of his existence. He turned to look at the idol inside the temple.

“Ek baat maanni padegi. Kamal praani banaya hai aapne bhi.” He told to Narayan and turned to Markaat, “Sochna band kar diya kya? Mere saath abh toh Adi-Naagin hai. Cheelon ko sabse zyaada khatra Adi-Naagin se tha. Meri kundali mein likha tha ki mujhse sirf ek naagin maar sakti hai. So, in a way, I’m safe, yaar. Socho. Konsi naagin ho sakti hai jo mujhe maarna chahegi? Chandrakala toh marr chuki hai. Baaki jo bache hai woh sabh Bani ko face karna nahi chahenge.”

Markaat realized the trap. Cheel had biggest threat from icchadhari naags. Veer had managed to get Adi-Naagin, the most powerful icchadhari naagvanshi herself siding with him. Especially with someone of the nature of Adi-Naagin. Shiv himself was closely affectionate to her. They say that he would never turn down a request from her. If there was anyone who could know how to break Narayan’s kawach, it has to be the destroyer. He’s the destroyer of everything.

“Acchi chaal banayi hai, Veeranshu. ABh kya karoge? Nageshwari se kahoge ki woh Mahadev se puche ki Narayan kawach kaise todte hai?”

“That’s plan b. Matlab main generally sirf ek hi dumdaar plan banata hun. But I’m aware ki yeh thoda complicated hai because this goes way beyond the time of my birth. Even as before as Aakesh. Tumhare bachpan se judi hai. Tumhare pitaji ne Narayan se kawach maanga. But everything comes with ‘conditions apply’. The trick is to find exactly what those ‘conditions apply’ are.”

“Nahi jaan paaoge, Aakesh. Nahi jaan paoge.”

Veer whistled a tune. There was a special species of birds that lived exclusively in the same area as the temple. They were beautiful songbirds. Exactly the same size as macaws, they were colourful. Bright yellow with some red. Their tail feathers were long. As long as their flight feathers or maybe taller. These birds were known to sing two specific tunes. They were very specific. One of the tunes was something Markaat always whistled and the other one was what Veer always whistled.

Veer had caught on the habit from his mothers. When he was younger, his mother often brought him here. Ishana Singhania would often spend time with her boys here as she painted. While three of them would play around here, Ishana would go on to make her masterpieces. Veer could understand all the birds, even penguins, but not these birds. For some reason, he didn’t know what they sang. They would understand what he tells them but he can’t understand them. They don’t speak. They just sing their tune.

The birds flew down towards Veer and sang with him. Veer laughed.

“Hmmm… mood mein lagte ho.” Veer chuckled. Markaat walked away from the place. Once he had gone some distance, he threw an arrow. It was supposed to hit Veer but out of nowhere Kakot flew up and took the arrow.

“Idiot…” Veer dodged to catch Kakot before he fell down. “Pagal ho kya? Beech mein kyu aaye? Main heal ho jaata agar mujhe lagti bhi toh.”

“Aakesh, bohot saare arso beetaye hai aise kauwa banke. Kitne hi log dekhe. Yug dekhe. Par agar tumhare liye jaan jaaye toh isse acchi baat nahi hogi. Insaano ke toh dost hote hai. Unhe samajhne aur pyaar karne waale hote hai par bohot kam hi hote hai jo parindo se dosti karte hai. Aur usse bhi kam jo ek kauwe ko apna dost mane. Isiliye Markaat ne mujhe kauwa banaya. Yeh sochke ki koi kyu mera dost ya saathi banega par phir tum aaye aur mujhe dost mila.”

“Chup raho. Bakwaas ki kaaye kaaye mat karo. Main theek karne ki koshish kar raha hun.” Veer took him inside the temple. Looking around for something that could be used as a medicine. “Tumhe vet ke paas nahi le jaa sakta na abh. Mujhe hi kuch karna padega.”

“Woh kya kehte hai… tum bird handler ban jaao. Acchi job hogi. Saari panchi tumhari baat samajhte hai tum unki. Siwaaye inn panchiyo ke. Pata nahi konse jeev hai yeh.”

“Jeev? Birds hai, Kakot. Maybe unki baton ka koi matlab hi nahi hai. They’re just whistling something. Kise fark padta hai? Tum chup raho.”

“Waise pehli baar kisi mandir ke andar aaya hun. Matlab tumhe toh pata hai kauwe zyaada mandiro mein nahi jaate. Unhe mrityu ka sanket maante hai. Sirf apne purvajo ko yaad karne wale din hi kauwo ko yaad karte hai.”

“Chup rehne ka kya loge?”

He took some turmeric from the temple.

“Oo? Pagal ho gaye ho? Woh Bhagwaan ko chadhane wala haldi hai. Mujhpe laga rahe ho kya?”

“Just shut up. Tujhe dikh rahe hai kya yaha iss haldi ko istemaal karte hue? Sirf murti par daali jaayegi paani mein mila ke.” Veer the turmeric with some water. He tore a leaf from some of the aloe vera plants outside and put some of its sap with the turmeric paste. “Thoda sa jalega but theek ho jaayega.”

Veer washed the spot of injury with some water to clean the blood and dust off it. He then applied the past on the injury.

“Aaahhh… jal raha hai. Kya kar rahe ho??”

“Haan toh kisne kaha tha beech mein aane ko? Teer laga hai toh dard hoga na?” He wrapped his handkerchief around the injury as a bandage. Soon, one of the songbirds flew inside and sang the tune which he whistles. Veer smiled. It sat on Veer’s shoulder. “Jo bhi hai. Let’s go back home.”

He was about to leave when the bird suddenly grabbed his jacket and fluttered its wings.

“Nahi ruk sakta, baby. Jaana zaroori hai. Sweetheart aa chuki hogi.” Veer tried to explain to the bird with a chuckle. He walked out of the temple premises and was in the garden surrounding the temple. “Jaao. Enjoy karo.” Veer made the bird fly off to a branch but it flew around and came back to Veer.

Veer walked out and wore back his shoes. As soon as he got out of the boundary gate, he cheel powers returned. He flew away to Cheel Mansion in his cheel form. While flying down, he spotted Tapish sitting in his car. Veer just followed his brother just to play around. Soon enough, he realized that it was nearby to Sharma Residence.

“Yeh interesting hai.” Veer thought. Meera showed up by Tapish’s car. She actually looked like she made and effort to look prettier. He two sat in Tapish’s car and started driving away. Definitely not going to Cheel Mansion. It was evening. The car stopped at a restaurant. Veer flew down and returned to his human form. “Tapish bhai, aap toh kaafi tez nikle. Seedha date?”

Veer knew it was Tapish’s favourite restaurant. Quite definitely if he had brought Meera here, it wasn’t to discuss something casual. Why take Meera to a fancy restaurant for something like a casual meet up? Veer fished out his phone and sent a photo of Meera and Tapish to Vanshika and Sam.

Vanshika was quick to call him.

“Dude, what the heck!!!” Vanshika almost screamed in excitement.

“Baby, mujhe khud shock lag raha hai.” Veer told her.

“Veer, mujhe minute by minute detail chahiye iss date ki.” Vanshika exclaimed. While Vanshika’s reaction was an instant phone call, Sam had downright flown over to the place.

“Veer bhai!!!” Sam explained. Veer pulled him behind a tree putting a hand on his mouth.

“Abe, dheere. Dono yahi hai. Tapish bhai ko doubt bhi hua toh dono ko maarenge.” Veer commented.

“Sam hai kya wahan?”

“Haan.”

“Bani ko photo send kiya?”

“Nahi.”

“Toh ruko. Main call kar rahi hun use. I’m gonna take her in a conference call.”

“Veer bhai, this is super interesting. Meera aur Tapish bhai.” Sam grinned. The two brothers gave each other a hi-five.

“Hello?” Vanshika was back on the line.

“Haan…”

“Veeranshu?” Veer heard Bani’s voice.

“Bani, suno. Abhi Veer aur Sam ek restaurant ke paas hai. Tapish bhai aur Meera di ek saath baithe hai.” Vanshika told Bani.

“What!!” Veer could imagine Bani jumping from wherever she was sitting. “Kahan?”

“Bani, tum mat aao. You’re the worst spy ever.” Veer commented.

“Shut up.” Bani retorted.

“Tum dono ko kuch sunai de raha hai kid ono kya baat kar rahe hai?” Vanshika asked.

“Nahi, re. Hum dur hai.” Sam answered.

“Gadho phir paas jaao. Mujhe jaanna hai ki what the hell they’re talking about. Abh Tapish bhai unse business ke baare mein toh baat nahi kar rahe honge.” Vanshika exclaimed.

“That’s a bit personal, yaar. Aise kaam hum nahi karte. Yeh invasion of privacy.”

“Saale, jab tu mere aur Chris ke beech kya chal raha tha yeh jaanne ke liye logo ko lagaya tabh invasion of privacy yaad nahi aaya?” Vanshika taunted. Veer laughed.

“Haan but agar kuch personal aur intimate baatein ho rahi hongi toh?” Veer asked.

“Eeshh…. Na. Meera di aisi nahi hai. Meera di kaafi acchi hai. Apni tarah mat samjho unhe.” Bani commented.

“Mrs Veeranshu Singhania, romance mein haddi banne ki aadat Daksh aur Ponky ki hai. Mere aur Sam ki nahi. At the end of the day, Tapish bhai aur Meera date pe aaye hai. Date pe kya tumhari aur meri baat karenge? Of course, they’ll be talking about themselves.”

“Yeh Ophelia Restaurant hai, right?” Vanshika asked.

“Haan.”

“I’ve heard of it. Kaafi acchi restaurant hai. Chachi use dekh ke kaafi excited ho jaati hai but its expensive.” Bani added. Sam and Veer looked at each other.

“Arrey, nahi, Bhabhi. Main aur Veer bhai kitni baar aa chuke hai yahan. Aur yeh Tapish bhai ka favourite restaurant hai.” Sam pointed out.

“Haan. Main bhi kaafi baar jaa chuki hun wahan. Unke chicken ki baat hi kuch aur hai.” Vanshika exclaimed.

“Haan, ameerzado, sabh tumhari tarah raees khaandan se nahi hote.” Bani retorted back. The three of them bit their tongue.

“Koi nahi. Main kabhi le chalta hun tumhe.” Veer assured her.

“Yaar, tum dono please jaao aur pata karo ki kya baat kar rahe hai dono. Warna main hi aa jaaungi wahan.” Vanshika complained.

“Waise tum ho kahan? Matlab Naaglok mein network toh milne se raha.” Veer asked.

“Apne flat pe hun.” She answered. “Thode se cases pending the toh unhe close karna hai aaj. Deal closures ke paperwork.”

“Ek kaam kar, aa jaa. Kaam baad mein kar lena.” Veer suggested.

“Seriously? Main buri spy aur Vanshika ko ‘aa jaa’?” Bani exclaimed.

“Sweetheart, jalo mat. V aur main bachpan se hi spying experts rahe hai.” Veer answered.

“Mujhe 10 minute do.” Vanshika said.

“Haan…”

“10 minutes dress choose karne ke liye. 10 minutes shoes choose karne ke liye. 10 minutes eyeliner lagane ke liye. 10 minutess baaki make up ke liye, 10 minutes nikalne ke liye aur 20 minutes pohochne ke liye. Read between the lines, Veer bhai.” Sam teased.

“Tu ruk jaa, Samrat Pawan Singhania. Teri akal sahi na ki toh main bhi Vanshika Kashyap nahi.” Vanshika threatened.

“Sam, Sam, Sam, mujhe dekh ke kuch toh seekh le. Naagin ko aise nahi phasate. Aise try maarega toh phasegi nahi dasegi.” Veer told Sam.

“Haan, zil-e-ilahi Veeranshu Singhania ko toh phd hai Naagino ko date karne ki.” Bani commented dryly. Sam and Vanshika broke into laughter. In around 25 minutes, they saw Vanshika show up. Her hair up in a bun. Track pants, hoodie, shoes and jacket. She was in her home clothes. She had definitely planned to work all night with how much she smelled like coffee.

“Haan, Bani, main pohoch gayi. Chill. Abh toh main details pata karke hi rahungi.” Vanshika told Bani.

Bani's breakdown was beautifully written but scenes that shined to me were of balwant and bani!! Him feeding her food and trying to console her..so beautiful!!

Bani's constant feeling and need to be near veer is really beautiful to see. She wants to be with him even if it's in death. Growth from "hazaar maut dungi" to "mjjhe jaane dijiye uske paas", beautiful!!!❤️❤️

“Main tumhe Virgin Mary banne mein interested lag rahi hun kya?" I genuinely thought of this when Mukta wrote that farishta blessing VAni to have a child that would defy nature's laws. I'm like, bro... they themselves are creatures breaking laws of nature by being half and half. Why specify that their child will be out of this world??

How deep is veer's connection with Narayan eh??

I loved vani's bathroom scene!! To fully get the effect of physical intimacy to the viewer, it is necessary that characters have some emotional depth towards eachother. I agree. Like in the show they didn't have the emotional depth required to have that kind of intimacy so fast. So, I thought, it makes sense that Bani's ready to make a move after everything she's felt for him and accepted what they are together.

Meera, bathroom main aise nhi ghuste😂

Veer markaat confronration was amazing..though I hope Markaat doesn't retaliate soon.I want veer and bani to have some peace before another battle.

Sam Vanshika banters are so much fun..and the little vani scenes on the phone😍😍 ..no one can beat the one liners of veeranshu singhania and now Mrs veeranshu singhania.

And tapish bhai surprised his bros..let's hope the spys find out what's going on.And I have a feeling veer is gonna sleep on the couch because he didn't include his gharwali in the spywork😜🤣.
