Also MaJan would have tried to involve police too, which would've brought a tension with Dhruv reacting in a more violent manner.

1. If yes, it is so because he had a reputation of being the coolest nerd of the college, who was never associated with any girl other than CJ or Riya, and now Nupur. And that too all three were either his friends or enemies. 😆 But it was Nupur, who was destined to become his GF, something which wasn't planned for a highly organised person like him. He wanted to keep his relationship private because he himself needed some time to think about it, as he thought that things were rushing too fast. Also, however confident he may seem, he was too shy for such romance to be done publicly, which he considered to be a filmy thing, something which Nupur would love to do.

2. If no, it is because Nupur was not having any doubts about their relationship. She was happily eager to reveal it to the world, which doesn't happen on the contrary, as a surprised Gunjan says to her, how is the world still unknown to Miss Nupur Bhushan's love story even after she has fallen in love. That was the thing which she wanted. Nupur had very colourful and filmy notions about her love story being like this, or like that, which wasn't regarded by Mayank. He never thought of giving any importance to her expectations or dreams about her love story, barring their first date of course.

The reasons, in my opinion, are these-

1. She was paralysed waist down and had lost all hopes of walking again. She was losing her self-confidence and thought herself of not being worthy of Samrat's affection. She didn't want his pity under the disguise of love.

2. Their differing opinions on the subject of marriage. She wanted him to come back and propose to her only when he truly understood the meaning of marriage, not out of pity or fear. She knew that he was hinting towards a marriage just because of fear.

3. She didn't want to face Samrat after that V-Day Night argument. She didn't want to be reminded of that moment again and again.

In my opinion, if the boys would have told the girls about the baby, then there would have been less trouble and no need of telling lies.

Why?

Initial reaction of girls, would have been out of anger, distrust and suspicion because of the talks and discussions, that they have been having then while having tea.

But after that, they too would have joined forces with the boys, if not to find the prankster behind it, but at least to prove their boyfriends, brothers and husband etc innocent.
