Police Station

The next day- bauji went to do some work. Mayank,samrat, nupur and gunjan went to the police station with dia driving.Gunjan helped into the car by willing samrat and a reluctant gunjan. The inspector appeared to be reasonable and took the complaint and also the hospital summaries. Wishing her a speedy recovery, he sent them off. The guys were surprised that things had gone on so smoothly and were discussing it nonstop irritating dia into finally asking them to shut up now that things were fine.

Mayanks mobile rang. Adhiraaj informed them of the problem inth college that Yash and his friends had come and created hungama. Nupur insisted on going with the two guys while dia drove gunjan back home.

"dia, di aur tum kya chupaa rahe the? Di kyun gayi " gunjan asked .

"nothing..these guys! Woh teen din se us rowdies ke peeche pade hain gunjan- pehle adhiraaj aur benji and jab se tum discharge hogayi, tab se yeh dono bhi. Kyunki yeh sab college ki campus mein hua, princi ko bhi responsibility lena hain. But ... maybe nupur princi ki class lene gayi."

Both of them smiled at the thought and continued to discuss till they reached home. Gunjan helped dia pull her out of the car. Dia did not tell gunjan that nupur was worried that the guys would get hurt.

College- in a mess. And the gang is huddled in the central area, discussing what to do. Mayank after arguing with samrat, called up the politician fellow and told him what had happened. Princi came and scolded all of them. Nupur, suhaani and samrat fought with princi while adhiraaj and mayank tried to reason with him. They were now waiting for something to happen but not knowing what to do. The rest of students were giving them accusing looks.Uday and benji fought with them.

Yash and his friends walked in and this time none of the gang spoke to him as they didn't want to give him any more chance to wreck some more things. Police came in and in front of everyone arrested Adhiraj, to everyones shock, without giving any explanation to anyone.

Yash went out showing them a thumbs up , not before suhaani threw her heels in his direction.

Police station '

Mayank and suhaani , samrat sat in the station while the police did nothing and didn't answer their questions. The politician stopped receiving mayanks calls and samrat went in search of kulkarni to get some information. Suhaani sat on the bench like a statue scared. Mayank had insisted that the others go home to avoid anymore drama. Samrat came back with the worst news- that Yash was this Devrajs brother. All three of them stared at each other.

Please replay the scene where mayank meets adhiraj inside the jail when he cant even get up.

Just before mayank turned to go, adhiraaj said," mayank mere dad ko mat batana. Matlab abhi nahin. Is waqt...aur suhaani ko mujhe dekhne mat dena. " mayank nodded.

Bhushan house-

Everyones shocked . the evening news showed that adhiraaj had been arrested and now they have all realised that they were taken for a ride.

" main ne bola tha kisiko trust nahin kar sakthe. Ab adhiraaj ko dekho..."

"Benji, tumne uski dad ko phone kiya?" mayank asked and benji nodded," haan. Un hone kahaan ki woh kal subah tak aajaayenge. Mayank, kya adhiraaj ki haalat bohot buri thi?" mayank had avoided mentioning it since afternoon. He involuntarily looked at suhaani and not being able to lie, shrugged.

"tumhe us politician ki bachhe ko kuch bhi batana nahin tha mayank. Ab hamari story ko woh kitna ache se twist kar raha hain...woh bhi us yash ko eyewitness banaa dega" samrat was still fuming.

"samrat," gunjan called him for the first time since all this started," tum shayad yeh bhool gaye ho ki goli mujhe lagi thi aur jab main statement doongi tab sab teek hojaayega. Bas kal subah tak ki baat hain. Jiju ki kya galthi hain?" her voice was stern.

Everyone looked at samrat.

"maine kab kaha ki mayank ki galthi hain? Main kya paagal hoon. Main bas... us politician ki baton par yakeen karne ki baat karraha tha." and looked towards mayank.

Before anyone could say anything, bauji s voice came , clear and stern," kiski kya galthi hain , yeh shayad sabko baad mein dikhega. Par abhi ki baat yeh hain ki kisiki laaparwaahi ki wajah se ek nirdosh ladka jail main hain. " mayank avoided everyones eyes while nupurs face showed emotions ranging from various degrees of hurt and anger...

"bauji, main kal police staton mein baat karoongi..." gunjan began after one glance at nupur.

"aur main tumhare saath chalunga. Taaki koi aur galthi nahin hojaaye." He added, turning to samrat," adhiraaj ke liye bail ki zaroorat padegi beta..."

Samrat looked at mayank , as they had discussed with Lalitha and decided that since gunjan was giving her statement, it would not be necessary. He repeated it to bauji. bauji understood the look samrat gave mayank and said, " bail ki zaroorat padegi . main bol raha hoon na.

He turned to gunjan," chalo gunjan. So jao. Aur tum sab bhi, jaake so jao. Chaho tho yehi rehlo. Abhi kyun waapas jaaoge." And stroking gunjans head, went up the stairs to his room.

As soon as bauji went, samrat looked at mayank and said," mayank main tumhe ..."

"its okay samrat. I know ki humne 'adhiraaj aur maine tumhari baat nahin maani thi. Shayad hamaari galthi hai."

Nupur turned to him sharply with an angry look but before she could say something, suhaani spoke up," agar mistake hain tho adhiraj ki bhi hain. Lets just forget it and find out ki kaise usko baahar nikalwaasakthe hain."

"suhaani, don't worry. Somehow mujhe lagtha hain ki gunjan ki statement hi kaafi hogi." Dia added consolingly.

Sam-mayank- benji exchanged glances which clearly showed that it may not be enough.nupur caught their look and understood.

"suhaani chalo , ghar chalthe hain." Sam went and pulled her up from her sofa.

Mayank also got up and as they moved towards the door, nupur was with them.

"tum yehi rehnewaali thin a?" mayank asked her.

"nahin. Mujhe ghar jaana hain."

"par nupur," and looked towards gunjan who was looking at her sister intently.

"mujhe ghar jaana hain. Gunjan abhi teek hi hai., hain na gunjan?" she turned to see gunjan looking at her with a please 'dont -go 'look. But gunjan nodded unconvincingly. Nupur faltered. She knew Gunjan would not ask her to stay if she knew that nupur was uncomfortable... she looked back at Mayank who was watching the change of expressions on her face.

"just stay back" he said. There was conflict visible on her face- wanting to stay with gunjan and wanting to go home with mayank.

"waise bhi agar tum ghar wapas chalne ki baad bhi gunjan ki hi chinta karthi rahogi." He added. And placed his hand on her shoulder . she nodded. Gunjan smiled in relief.

"maine na pehli bhi yehi kaha tha, agar pata hota ki tum apni behen ko itne miss karnewaali ho, tho us se bhi dahej mein maang saktha." Mayank joked. Samrat who had re entered looking for Mayank and to say bye to Gunjan also joined in the laughter that followed.

Suddenly broken by a loud voice ,bauji s saying," kya yeh kaafi nahin hai ki meri ek beti tumhare saath leke gaye ho ki ab..." bauji was near the top of stairs

"Bauji..." nupur interrupted him angrily. Mayank held her hand warningly

Both father and daughter stared at each other. Bauji gruffly looked at everyone from gunjan to dia to uday and to samrat and said," tum log sone waale the na? Tho jao." And walked away.

Nupur whose hand was entwined in mayanks by then started shivering in anger.
