No parent's inner child can resist a spin upon a merry-go-round.

{Step Eleven By Mayank. Be warned, riding on a merry-go-rounds with your mother is just as dangerous as dancing with a bear. You may make the decision to dance, it is only the bear who decides when you stop.}

Vaishnavi and Arjun both excelled themselves far beyond that sparkle, far above that rainbow and far into that endearing light that they had already accustomed us to witnessing with memorising delight

Most parents would have taken this opportunity to quite righteously lay down laws, belittle egos and burst their child's bubbles. However Shilpa Aunty shows us why she is such a wonderful mother and why Mayank is the exceptional man that he has become as an adult. She overlooks his mistake, for she knows 'who' her son is, she trusts her upbringing and him. Instead she focuses upon the pivotal point and investigates in a 'roundabout' way.

She pushes off this merry-go-round at a gentle pace, slowly caressing Mayu's head and that special sass of hers, also known as Smart Alec Sharma Sarcasms, lulling him into a false sense of security before she begins a whirl of tortuous discursiveness.

"maa yeh mera sir, patthar ke tera baari kyu lagra hai?"

"itna sab bara hua hai isme, shahid isliye?...yah phir…kal tumne jo piyli the, shahid uska asar hora hoga, kyu?"

Then frightened by life's turning of events, Mayank unwittingly grabs hold of Shilpa Aunty's merry-go-round in hope of relief, only for it to swirl and twirl into a whirligig!

Arjun's and Vaishnavi's impeccably timing and execution of this intricate script is exemplary! The words on paper are quite nominal but they give them winding weighty worth!

Until dizziness outside of Mayank's head is more than that which is reverberating inside his head, he jumps off the ride!

"Jab app samej gaye hoon, toh pooch kare hoon kyu?"

However Shilpa Aunty has already created a vortex and with one simple turn effortlessly pulls Mayank back through the back draft!

"vo toh maine kisse ko promise kiya tha…ke tumse pyar se baat karongi"

Then slowly, slowly Shilpa Aunty begins to spin faster and faster, until Mayank is back where he left off…turning in a twitter!

"Haan, linken vo nahin jot um sooch re hai ho"

Maa, mein kya sooch ra ha hoon

Wahin, jo tumare umar ke ladke sooch the hai

Aur mere umar ke ladki jo sooch the hai, vo tum kisse pata?

Kyun ke mein maa hoon…MAA!

Maa! Mera ser waise ghomrey, tum aur mat ghomrou, Please!

As he collapses his spinning head within which lies his revolving mind driven by his tumultuous heart, he fails to grasp what Shilpa Aunty understands so well; that the chaos of our lives is incomparable to the revolutions of the earth, which orbits the blazing sun, which spins within its galaxy which is expanding into the universe. Either accept the turns and twists or prepare yourself for vertigo!

😆 my diverse excursions, always taking this thread from one extreme to another hehe.You MUST have noticed how our discourse influences my posts and threads. Sometimes I become stuck as to how to present a step, then whilst talking to you, you open my mind to wondrous possibilities!

That was so well said and i totally agree, she strikes the perfect balance and she does so effortlessly and so easily. Her grace runs throughout her, in her and imbues all that surround her.

I agree M and his attitude to studying was refreshing indeed, studying wasn't a task for him, it was his passion, books were a tool to aid in defining who he is. For him fun was reading and i indeed agree it is such a pleasure to read. I possibly shared this a little while back i guess that i feel the most at peace when I get a chance to sit on the beach with the warm sun and light breeze and eh a wonderful book as a companion. In my free time, I would prefer reading or listening to serene music.😳 How would you like to spent it Sabah? This is going to sound like I need to be committed, but I love being in my own thoughts. I have a very eclectic taste, so I read, watch films and tv or just watch people or read about their lives, then I sit and ponder, contemplate, then if hit by inspiration I write, write , write. I write prose or poems, but it is that feeling I search for, the feeling of truth!
Free time at many times is given a misleading interpretation, it is a very important time and which can be used for something really useful such as something for relaxing our mind.Good point. Free time still has a price or worth.
Oh thats something new Sabah, I hadn't thought like that, yes possibly you are right. But I feel that N was someone who enabled M to discover a side to him which he didn't know he had, it was more of her helping him in discovering himself and knowing himself better.Yes, I like that. That is the thing with MJHT you can write over them in whatever mood you are in or feeling you want to aspire to.
I agree the way the whole concept of weekends is looked upon but then I don't know how can we strike that balance between work and enjoyment in our lives, is it by enjoying our work and staying positive about things Sabah?I place upon our intentions, for even the most arduous of tasks can feel light when our goals are other people's delight. Butterfly, you know better than me😳
I agree she understands the point of life. Awwwwww so well👏 said we just can't cage someone's heart or make him or her fall in love. Love is beautiful but it never works by way of compulsion ever, the compulsion being in any form at all!I do not believe in compulsion in faith, love or any feeling. However sometimes we have to do things so that society does not become anarchy.
Yes possibly as he hasn't been exposed to parents who don't give that freedom to their children, about bauji, the show unfortunately doesn't shed much light and thought over such matters and relations which has so much room and potential for exploration.I feel that Bauji wasn't given a chance to develop properly. Altough his first impression, the one they left in Morena was more the father of Gunjan and Nupur than the later version. However they could have still developed him further, for we are all changing, evolving, improving. He did hint of this change to Gunjan, telling her that he isn't the same as he was before. Sometimes life makes those changes for us, when we resist our own soul's urge for betterment.

sabah i love ur post very muchhhhhhhhh........this thread is rockinggggggg bcoz of ur regular posting that too with all beautiful parents scenes mayank-mom scenes .........I really don't even present for they speak for themselves! They are wonderfully wondrous and full of wisdom and much much love!

i loved this thread ihonestly say i won't read all other posts ....but still whatever i read tits-bits i love it its so pleasure to read themHey, no obligation, for there is nothing here that you won't find in their scenes. However I would have to say that I do love other people's input, especially people who view the world at a different tilt!

This happens to be one of my favorite Mayank-Shilpa Aunty scenes.

This had fun written all over it.True, I am always amazed that Arjun and Vaishnavi keep in character, it is a testament to their acting skills.

I love how Shilpa Aunty starts teasing him with her round of confusing questions. And finally when she said 'main sab samajh gayi hun' thus rendering Mayank speechless.What a morning to wake up to?! Actually he quite blessed, I loved how all the way through the beginning Shilpa Aunty strokes his head! It reminded me of that soothing balm in a mother's hands.

And how Mayank recalls all that he has done in the past day, much to his own dissapointment. Again, wonderfully edited. The confusion of Mr Focus and concentrate. And thus ending her round of quizzing questions and her witty answers she leaves MAyank in a new situation to discover himself.I love the manner in which Shilpa Aunty, prys and pokes, teases and pinches at Mayank's 'personal' life but never invades, intrudes nor thereby destroys. She is wonderfully discreet in her investigations.

And one thing worth mentioning i just loved it how with the wave of the hand both of them go 'Maa' . Arjun and Vaishnavi have really excelled in this scene.I agree! It was brilliant!

Wow Sabah, I love being in own thoughts too but not all the time though. I usually don't like being alone. I want someone by my side whom I can share my world with. Wow writing, thats one thing I like doing a lot. I use to visit the courts when I was doing my pupillage, I would just observe the proceedings and wouldn't have much to do while we waited for our case to be called. At that time, I would sit and write. I usually carried books with me and would read but at times would write on everything or anything, like how I felt a little awkward in the new surroundings with people seeing such a young girl working as a lawyer, or write on a funny man staring at me or a cute little girl playing with her new dress and continuously making noises.😆

I would love it if you would share some of your poems with us, but no compulsion😆. I am sure they will be wonderful as ever.😳
I agree Mjht is the kind of show which compels me to write the way nothing else does😆, at times its from disappointment, at times from delight, at times from suprise and at times shock.
I too love words, language. I might have said this story to you already, if so...😳A man used to heal people through incantations. A doctor visited him and said this is ridiculous you need to apply medicine. The man called me a pig. He became angry. Then he called him a donkey. The doctor started boiling, his chest heaving, indignant. The man said, i have said two words to you and look how your body, heartbeat etc has changed!

We really undervalue the means of words and language, and shockingly when we want to hurt people, we search for those words that will sting or astonish!

I love how you notice those little things! Butterfly, you are quite, quite, wonderful.😳

My poems are for myself, not fit for others, quite unremarkable. They just flow from inspiration, like you said, with MJHT as inspiration, words fall into place themselves, my heart and hands become extended limbs of that passion!

I hv never wrote much abt Vaishnavi & Arjun's acting skill in ur thread sabah! coz i always feel that they r shilpa aunty & mayu .they r not actors , both of them together r just so believable!!!! hats off to them!👏

exactly, she never even gave one single glare towards him for drinking bhang.as she knew it was a mistake , not becoz nupur already told her abt the whole thing, but becoz she had full trust on her upbringing, she knew mayank too well, knows also how far he can cross beyond his boundary.so that questioning part never came up, rather she tried to make him realize the actual issues in her own unique way here.

he he love that first reply😆.another litle push by Shipa aunty.she tried to tell him to speak up his mind , to remove the burden of unspoken feelings, that he is trying to hide, but then it was mayank , who was not in a state to understand these clues given by his mom. Or didn't wanna understand?

yeah! like all child look for their mom when they got scared at the first place, Mayank's instant reaction was just like that..he forgot he was hiding some facts from her mom & screamed maa ye maine kya kar diya?😆 & then, mayank started it.but aunty decided to start the ride from opposite side....toh kya nupur ki baat kar rahi ho?...Nupur? ha.kal kuch hua tha kya?..oh! there goes mayank's all efort in waste to hide the real things from her....😆

I think shilpa aunty understood it too well, when ever phase he was going through right then, he was just trying to run away from it..which was no solution& what she tried to realize his son is..accept the life as it comes..face the situation, if u can't change it.but to understand this,mayank needed to accept his feelings to himself first what he was denying till that time .
