Following composer Palash Muchhal's confirmation of the cancelled wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, he removed their old videos from his social media, including the viral proposal video from a cricket stadium.

Palash deletes proposal pics

Palash's Instagram account no longer features videos of him proposing to Smriti and celebrating her Women's World Cup victory. These videos were posted last month after the Indian women's cricket team won the World Cup in Mumbai. Palash proposed to Smriti at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the location of the World Cup final. The couple was scheduled to marry on November 24th in Sangli, Smriti's hometown.

Smriti removed all pre-wedding photos and the proposal video, along with other posts. Despite these removals, not all posts have been deleted. The composer is currently facing negative comments from netizens on the remaining posts on his account.

Smriti and Palash’s statement on calling off the wedding

Smriti and Palash's wedding plans hit a roadblock, and they've announced the cancellation on social media. Smriti took to Instagram Stories, requesting privacy for both families, while Palash shared a statement confirming the split, saying that he has decided to move on in my life and step back from his personal relationship.

Palash addressed the rumours surrounding the wedding cancellation, stating that the split was due to personal reasons and not because of any infidelity during the pre-wedding festivities. He also stated that its been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me and that it is the most difficult phase of my life, and he will deal with it gracefully, holding on to my beliefs. He also stated that he truly hopes that we, as a society, learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip, whose sources are never identified. Our words can wound in ways we may never understand.
