'That apparent hurt upon hurt upon Mayank's face. The disappointment of Nupur's actions over which his own disappointment of his actions in front of his mother. '

one thing i admire again about both Mayank and Nupur...whenever they are at fault and the moment they realize it they seek forgiveness humbly be it from the parents or friends...they don't let that moment pass on

Shrimad Bhagwad Gita we are taught since our very childhood as the very means that can enlighten your mind of or in any given situation...
the Shlok infact did enlighten our Mayu ... of his own inner Mahabharat.....we later on do see him remembering this very moment and slokh when Nupur questions him why is he so much interested in finding her faults or correcting them...to sum up..his mind has its full 'focus' on her.

(The kindling of Mayank's fervent indignation exquisitely animated by Arjun!)
he was cutest here.....

8th part

'Our ancestors used to say that 'Your parents are like the Sun and the Moon' you cannot afford to neglect them, for their very presence affects the push and pull of the tides upon the shores of your heart.'

how beautifully the essential truth you have put into words...

'Shilpa Aunty despite being a single working parent is a permanent fixture in Mayank's life. Like the Sun, Moon and Seasons, she is always present for his awakening and sleeping; his going and returning; his consistency and his changing.'

it is at it should be or we expect it to be.....minus the presence of Shilpa aunty the whole elders/guardians/parents missing scenario is really scary for me .... her presence infact is insuring that there is some one to guide you ..some one you can bank on ... not a drifting island but a strong plateau that wont let you fall or let you get lost in the sea of faces we move amongst.

'She knows as well as Mayank, as I have said before, they depend upon each other like that perfectly balanced seesaw; without the other not only would they lack purpose in their life but they would be broken.'

its sad that these creatives keeping us deprived of this wonderful relationship/understanding/balance that this mother-son duo shared

'He was the lone solution in need of 'his' problem'

yes he was and is ...thankfully he did understood it soon and took his place beside her...with her
as Dodo once told Nupur...(later on) when she wanted to know about if her match with Mayank could work or not..
he tells her not knowing that the "impossible" according to him has happened , he tells her - shocked and amused that they are no match at all..... he is perfection ki missal.....were as she is galtiyon ka peetara...

but only they and sure did Shilpa aunty realize that together they did compliment eachother - perfectly suited and matched

"waise mein, baal ke khal toh nikalna chahti, lekin..." Shilpa Aunty's gracefulness permeates the pun and flows through into irony; the ebb and flow of actual and literal continues on in her tones. Mayank aptly looks as vulnerable as those rocks on those shores which the tides crash down upon.

Arjun presented such a cute picture here ... its really hard to resist not wanting to hug him....'cuteness personified' indeed.

I wont go on and on but be short with my comments..since I have more than one post of yours to read and reply on..Why has everyone decided that there is a deadline?! Please take your time! We are trying to create meadows not construct docks!
5th Step

'As a child when you fall, whether physically or emotionally, there is no balm like the soft caress of a mother's touch, the strength of comfort of those tight hugs, the coolness of her hands upon your burning tear soaked face; rejuvenating your tired soul. As an adult, it is the same'

So so true.....
Have you noticed how peacefully a small baby sleeps in the cradle of its mom's arms...this thing never changes... though we grow up , but its just the same way like the baby we too always crave for the protection , warmth and love of our mom's touch...of her soothing voice and her peaceful presence. One of my favourite lines from a film, this girl of 35-40 years has had one of the worst days of her life, she comes home, goes to her mum's room, and snuggles up to her mother, so reciprocates and asks what is wrong to which she replies' nothing, your smell rejuvenates me!' This is the truth. There is nothing like the smell, warmth of touch of your mother, whether biological or emotional, those who caressed you as a child.
'I love the use of the 'prop'; the newspaper as a subtle distracting reminder that we are but one soul living through our troubles amongst five billion other souls and their troubles; that despite our insistence upon dwelling upon our woes they are comparatively not even news worthy.'
only you i can be sure of can notice this small detail and bring the larger picture it presents into view...Nandita, only you don't say 'what a load of nonsense!'
'Why is it that no one can resist nudging Mayank's nose?'
when he makes bored sort of face , as if he is not interested in the part of the conversation (though we know he is interested) ...when he does that he looks more cute ..guess thats why....It that placing your hand in the lions mouth sort of excitement!
'She nurtures his resilience by reminding him the routes we pursue are as important as the results.'
sure we know Mayank too agrees with this or else the whole fight that resulted into competition between him and Nupur could not have taken place....he had the report in hand ...some lesser person could have been content with it...it takes but Mayank to see the fault in it...Well noted!👏 The means do not justify the ends. We need to work hard even if the results are hardly noticeable. For the true results are within our souls!
'She diffuses the tension between Mayank and Nupur by treating her like a guest, reinforcing the above point to Mayank, that despite the inherent rivalry in her challenge, she isn't his rival but peer if not friend. '
yeah love mothers for this..its common with a mother i guess...whenever i had a fight with any of my class buddies , mom during lunch hour when she used to come could hear to me calmly ..
the moment i ended up pouring all the grief/anger over the person or situation that led to the fight out ... she used to ask me where actually is that friend of mine...this could anger me the most... i could yell...she/he is not my friend...mom used to more calmly add if she isn't its time you make friends with that person .... if you do that you will see that she /he is same as you are... and you have similarly hurt her as she you think has hurt you.......Nandita, the more I hear about your mother the more 'you' make sense. I am quite enamoured by you both. True we should not hate people, only the things they do and we should always leave open the possibility that they have changed from the last moment you met them, even if that was only a moment ago!
'Aunty's golden advice which I have always tried to live my life by; only ever compete with yourself. '
the real competition for us are we ourselves ...... if all of us could really follow this thought then sure we could make a better person out of ourselves and every competition could have a positive end and result...no losing only winning.
Excellent Nandita, 👏⭐️👏, no losing ONLY winning! I love it! 😃

At many a times i guess at everytime, when we read, we perceive and make an opinion about certain things, its possible that there is a demarcation between the literal and actual world which I am not able to see, But what we feel remains the same for both as feelings are real. Thats why one gets the most upset when those feelings are put in jeopardy.👏Well said, as with irony, pedantic and semanitc, it is the intention of our words and actions that infuse our souls and results. When say hurtful things and ask why are you hurt? Your intentions found their goal, so why do you ask? It is amazing but even through the isolation and distance of the internet, we still can cause much love, pain and happiness. The words the means, our intentions the source of our results!
Life teaches us and everyday indeed we learn something new, at times we acknowledge and many a times we don't. Sabah I have always believed in coincidences happening but I had never seen it from your angle till now; which indeed is very interesting and cogently presented!👍🏼Actually this is quite a new 'theory' I am testing out, but I truly do believe that it carries weight.
Darkness, Wow i agree it has its advantages, its usually looked upon as a evil monster in the story with the light as the White Angel but that is not appropriate per say, both light and dark are each important in its place and have been brought out for a purpose. We also get to appreciate light more when we are deprived of it and have to be in darkness! There is wisdom in everything, sometimes things, people make it hard for us to see that. However we are ignorant, we lack complete knowledge. Only when we 'know' everything can we accurately 'judge'. Since we can never know everything, we must concede humbly that things are not as dark or black as they seem.
👏 very well quoted, indeed even if we win the world and lose our heart and soul, that world becomes meaningless! Oh no no Sabah I would love to try something so wonderful like that.We must look after our hearts, they are our guides and gauges in the real world outside our dreams.
I agree about Shilpa Aunty and her grace which can charm anyone, you put it so well. Shalwar kameez she inspired me to wear it, my aunt and I went to get one for my cousin so I got one for myself too, its such a beautiful dress! I love the ones N and G wear as well!😊They are simple but elegant. However I believe that the suit does not make the man! Shilpa Aunty, Nupur and Gunjan imbue their costumes with their lights and grace and not the other way around!
Mayank is a son who would any mother proud and now any wife as well. I know so many people stop trying, life is all about never giving up, hard times come and go, we have to learn how to face them. Its so beautiful to see M always doing that and now N also doing that with him. But then she has also never given up!😃Of course we should strive even when others do not reciprocate, however it is a lot easier, warmer and beautiful when both return that grace.
Sabah I missed one of the points you made in the last post about how even one smile, even of a stranger makes one feel so wonderful, I so agree and this show I just have a strong emotional connection and attachment, with MN and all the characters closely related to them!😳The smile, so infectious, so hypnotizing, makes lions kittens, fills both the recipient and giver with light upon light. Best of all, it is accessible to all and completely free!
👏 the japanese culture has always and always inspired me and leave me in awe.Every culture has so many wonderful insights, it is a shame that we are losing our heritage through neglect and capitalist branding and breeding. God bless you Sabah. God bless us all, butterfly.

Hey Sabah,

Very well put, it is true that our intention behind everything is what makes immense difference. The same deed done with a pure intention can mean so much and bring great joy but if the intention is not kind, it may in the long run lead to much pain and suffering. That is so true about internet and the power of words, indeed it is well evidenced by the diverse reactions here at the forum as well.

Its just mere words which are said about a particular character which usually gives rise to extreme anger, hurt feelings and not to forget kindness and a sense of warmth when someone whole heartedly looks at another's opinions. Sabah you have brought a new light and thought process with this statement "The words the means, our intentions the source of our results!"👏

There is wisdom in everything but not everyone can see and it certainly is a wonderful trait which cannot be developed overnight, it evolves over time. I agree it is nearly impossible to know everything and in connection to this I would like to add that just like that for a person as well, we shouldn't judge people and have a definite opinion about them and labelling them as negative as we don't know them in totality and possibly never would be, it is inappropriate to make an opinion about someone like that.

Humans indeed are an enigma and we keep on discovering one thing or another about ourselves almost everyday, but generally we are so busy within our lives we don't even take out those few moments to ponder about ourselves. But the exercise of self discovery might help us in knowing ourselves better but I doubt that even this would enable us to know ourselves totally. Change is what remains constant, this is what M said a little while ago and indeed this change is what makes understanding ourselves much harder.

Wow so well said about costumes being imbued by their own light, i guess this is true for everyone if looked upon from a broad horizon!😳

A smile can light up anyone's face, some consider it inappropriate to smile to a stranger and have forbidden me to do so, I try to share my happiness as much as possible by a simple gesture like a smile. 😃 I hope you are now 😆.

I agree this world is vast and beautiful, its unfortunate that the real beauty is being suppressed underneath.

God bless you.

Much Love,

Senny.

I know some children who when their mother enters the room, don't even turn their heads in acknowledgment. In a era of time saving gadgets, have we not accumulated and saved enough time to reciprocate 1/1000th of the love, nurture and attention that was once given?
'She knows as well as Mayank, as I have said before, they depend upon each other like that perfectly balanced seesaw; without the other not only would they lack purpose in their life but they would be broken.'

Hey Sabah,Hey butterfly, i have missed you...😳
Very well put, it is true that our intention behind everything is what makes immense difference. The same deed done with a pure intention can mean so much and bring great joy but if the intention is not kind, it may in the long run lead to much pain and suffering. That is so true about internet and the power of words, indeed it is well evidenced by the diverse reactions here at the forum as well. I know most will scoff, but I swear I can feel the love in simple words and the sting of bitterness in polished thoughts. People cannot hide behind well chosen words for their intentions seep through.
Its just mere words which are said about a particular character which usually gives rise to extreme anger, hurt feelings and not to forget kindness and a sense of warmth when someone whole heartedly looks at another's opinions. Sabah you have brought a new light and thought process with this statement "The words the means, our intentions the source of our results!"👏I have always believed this. People wonder why at unexpected consequences but truly it is we who are deluded to ourselves.
There is wisdom in everything but not everyone can see and it certainly is a wonderful trait which cannot be developed overnight, it evolves over time. I agree it is nearly impossible to know everything and in connection to this I would like to add that just like that for a person as well, we shouldn't judge people and have a definite opinion about them and labelling them as negative as we don't know them in totality and possibly never would be, it is inappropriate to make an opinion about someone like that.I am not the person i was ten years ago, ten months ago, ten minutes ago. I would hate someone to judge me as once was, so shouldn't I give others the same chance to redeem themselves.
Change is what remains constant, this is what M said a little while ago and indeed this change is what makes understanding ourselves much harder.True, but isn't this wonderful. The continued change brings a continued journey, ourselves become as vast as the universe we inhabit.
Wow so well said about costumes being imbued by their own light, i guess this is true for everyone if looked upon from a broad horizon!😳This is how I have always seen it. We won't look beautiful by acquiring cinderella's dress but by acquiring her charm and character, even in her rags we would shine out the best!
A smile can light up anyone's face, some consider it inappropriate to smile to a stranger and have forbidden me to do so, I try to share my happiness as much as possible by a simple gesture like a smile. 😃 I hope you are now 😆.Me back at you😃. Yes I have been told that I smile too much and truth be told, it has lead to trouble, but I never regret my intentions.
I agree this world is vast and beautiful, its unfortunate that the real beauty is being suppressed underneath.Yes but it also permeates through, for it will ultimately be victorious!
God bless you.You too, butterfly inabundance!
Much Love,
Senny.

I have I told you my 'theory' about how Mayank takes after his father, thereby Shilpa Aunty being Nupur to his Mayank, and therefore with Mayank and Nupur now we have histroy repeating itself. What do you think? Be honest and share your ideas too.

in that scene when Mayu was put to bed and Nupur and Aunty were sharing coffee..and talking ... well that scene to the most reflects to me your take on it...
Wish we were given bit glimpse... in form of talks too about Mayank''s Dad...
As from a near past episode when G comes to inform Nupur that she won the role in the movie...and that she doesn't think she has any idea or future in acting..to this Nupur talks of their Mom..how their Dad used to talk about their Mom acting as Madhubala infront of the mirror... this sure does help us to relate Nupur's fondness for acting..
Same I would love to get some info about Mayu's Dad...
'like father - like son'.... wish we could get to check this saying
