Dutt Verdict

It's not as though I'm a great admirer of the judiciary system of our country, but if there were any lingering doubts that the country may still have a chance to better itself, the 1993 bomb blast verdict for Sanjay Dutt has proved that the judgment is an eye-wash. Everyone already knows that Dutt is not a terrorist; the judge needn't have announced that. But by saying so, he has cunningly managed to avert the nation's focus away from the bigger fact – that being a friend or acquaintance of terrorists and/or enemy of India is a very, very serious offense in itself. I'm amazed that this very system has convicted him for possession of weapons, for if the former doesn't amount to a crime, then how does the other?

Role of psychophants affecting our justice system
Whether Sanjay Dutt was let off lightly or not is one matter. What surprises me is the stance of some Bollywood personalities, who seem to be oblivious to the feelings of those thousands killed in the 1993 blasts. Firstly, I'd like to believe that with regard to a crime of such magnitude, there is no question of differentiating between direct perpetrators of the crime and those who indirectly supported it. Justice cannot overlook the peripheral groups, who morally supported such a heinous carnage. It would be a travesty of justice if people continue to go scot free on technical grounds such as sited in this case, so far. It's the criminal minds who are more dangerous than just the executioners! I am amazed at Shatrughan Sinha's comments to a TV channel that Dutt was nadaan when he had committed the crime. Applying the same logic, should we release all those criminals who were under 35 years of age at the time of committing the crime? Wasn't Dutt at least 35 when his nadaani got the better of him? I call upon all those who are showing ecstatic relief on hearing Dutt's sentence and request them to show some restraint at least for the benefit of those killed, and those maimed. Was Sanjay Dutt treating AK-56 rifles as toys or was he preparing himself for self-defence against an Army? Elementary Dr Watson!?

This is a free country and everyone, that is both you and me, are allowed to air and express our views........

Sue ME for mental stress which suffer from reading my words😃 Simple - dont read my words. Then you cant get mental stress.

He can sue me!! sure. But for what????? Speaking the truth or stating one's point of view is no offence and will actually be a defence in my favour😃

And to judge a person, I dont need to know the person. And incidentally I am not JUDGING HIM!! I was judging his actions!! There, incidentally, is a world of difference between the two.

And I did read a FEW law books😉 dont worry, before I made the statement.

Osama is not the only terrorist in the world my dear. But this is no class on terrorism here, so I will not go into those details.

It does appear that you know nothing about the matter, why dont you first read it, know it and then talk about it. Will be good for you.

😃 Hope u will go back and read all the stuff and then come back to reply here.

secondly I can sue you ...... not your booty as u say...that would be a vulgar thought in first place and you shouldnt be expressing them on an esteemed forum if u are a lady.... and ill win hands down for torture on grounds of aggravated language .. where did u go to learn it?

moreover with the kind of pidgin language you use , divest of originality or grammar how do u expect a learned member to understand your purport.... WE KNOW this member to be a learned bar member and is speaking sensibly with instances that have been already challenged and established in the court of law of the Indian Judicial System of which u seem to have little or no knowledge

moving on then....... Usama is NOT the only terrorist around .... there are lots of wannabee copycats .. and Abu Salem in one such lethal guy Ok... by the way this has also been convincingly proven and tried in our courts .. maybe you are talking of kangaroo courts ...... ours are real one with judges and lawyers for both prosecution and also for defense..

yes , joining such questionable elements in pursuit of anarchy DOES MEAN COLLABORATION .. regardless of how popular he may be in film world he ought not to have abused his esteemed father his esteemed sister and his beloved country ........ Gaddhaars have no place in my country .......... you get that

and I am asking the mods to caution you against using inflamatory language

Fanaticism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Redirected from Fanatic)
Jump to: navigation, search

Fanaticism is an emotion of being filled with excessive, uncritical zeal, particularly for an extreme religious or political cause, or with an obsessive enthusiasm for a pastime or hobby.

According to philosopher George Santayana, "Fanaticism consists in redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim"; according to Winston Churchill, "A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject".[1]

The difference between a fan and a fanatic is that while both have an overwhelming liking or interest in a given subject, behaviour of a fanatic will be viewed as violating prevailing social norms, while that of a fan will not violate those norms (although is usually considered unusual).

A fanatic differs from a crank in that the latter term is typically associated with a position or opinion which is so far from the norm as to appear ludicrous and/or provably wrong, while the subject of the fanatic's obsession may well be "normal", with only the scale of involvement being abnormally disproportionate.
