Was just going to write this

Mishkil, your point also.
😛

I haven't read any book by PL.
ONLY know his works through his vyakti ki Valli on audio and youtube and seen Ti phularani.

So as a complete outsider on his works I liked the film.

But I dunno how many people who actually read and studied his work , have seen the film.

And I also mentioned I think, that last half an hour was musically beautiful but overindulging beyond a point.
And way too out there.

When you make a biopic or for that matter films about real incidents, you are bound to take creative liberty.

No problem.

But make something believable at least.
Even while watching the whole thing on screen I felt bored as I was not watching PuLa's life onscreen but some random singing which was unnecessary.
And that is not a compliment to the film.

I have read some of his books like vyakti ani Valli, Purvarang, batatyachi chaal etc. I think criticism is always there for any good creation. Even loksatta had 2 major articles blasting KKK like master piece also. So we agree with whatever we like or vice versa.

Agree again.

Kkk worked because of marketing and music and a few moments in the film. Not some great cinema as there's no repeat value in the film as a whole I think.

And that article is being appreciated.
My friend reposted it and shared it on Facebook just now.

Some people may have objected to these drinking and smoking scenes. But have any of the families / heirs of Pu La or the other singers raised any objections to this depiction?

He daivet culture should stop I believe.

I wonder why we as a society only worship cricketers, singers, actors and film stars.

Why not worship people who actually bring a change in society?

Someone had said it in an interview. Rather idolise those who actually brought some change like maybe doctors, farmers or scientists or teachers. We don't even know their names.

Kaam avadla, kautuk kel. Bas.
Apan blindly follow Karun mag swatahach shock Hoto jevha te regular lokansarkhe vagtat.

Smoking and drinking is what they do in their own personal space. They don't owe us any justification for that.
We gotta stop putting them on a pedestal.

Of course they have a huge fan following but they are as Human as you and I. Youth follows them but they should not be so stupid as to blindly worship anyone.
