You know, there are many people in life who have a difficult past. In the Mahabharat itself, so many characters come from hardship, but that doesn't mean their mistakes are forgivable and should be overlooked. Karna is not the only character who had a difficult life. Difficulty comes in many different shades and many of the characters suffered in different ways, but in the end, it's the choices that make that shows who they really are.

I really love this one quote from Harry Potter, when Dumbledore says, "It's our choices that make us what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

So it doesn't matter who was the greatest archer or mace fighter. In the end of the day, they all were punished for their sins, so where did they samarthya take them? No where.

Yes Karna faced insult in many places, but in the end he died like a hero n got the glory he ever wanted...

But this same debate again n again n wat i hate even more is dragging Draupadi everywhere...

One mistake by a 14 year old girl, for refusing to marry a man...Wat a crime!!

Any topic with a Karna in its title gets opened with a certain intention, then turns into a war zone n then finally gets closed by the mods...

Actually Karna sparing the 4 brothers shows that he somewhat loved his brothers, why did he give a promise which wasnt even asked?, simple answer - he developed a soft corner for his brothers. No elder brother would like to kill his brothers. As for Arjuna - Karna already said that no-one in the three worlds can harm him while Krishna is with him.

U see, in the past 8 months and more, we have grown really sensitive to our favourite characters, or atleast i have.

India Forums is a decent place where most people debate decently. But if u visit other places, u will find people abusing each other to defend their favourite.

RamKiJanaki said that there r many people who think that Draupadi deserved to be molested bcoz sge rejected Karna. Believe it or not but its true.

In other sites, people actually abuse other characters to defend their own n its bcoz of this that some of us have grown sensitive about this kind of topics. Maybe that is y some people have expressed opposing opinions in ur thread.

Anyway, u seem to be a fan of Karna...well i am kind of neutral wen it comes to him, with a little bit of inclination towards disliking him n i admit that...n i have reasons for that...

I think Karna was a great hero with some major flaws...

Some people relate more to his greatness n so become his fan.

I on the other hand relate more to his flaws n so cant really love him like many people here.

Maybe its bcoz I am a huge fan of Draupadi...n since Karna insulted her...so I too tend to focus on his flaws more than his greatness. But at the same time I think he deserves respect as a warrior n also for some of his acts...

Anyway, at the end of the day, we all have the right to like whichever character we want to...😊
