Indonesian Mahabharata seems to be pretty different from Vyasa's but as CVs are determined to collect their stories from foreign Mahabharatas [and mixing it with their own imagination] it would be good if different track comes from different MB .. like if following track is from foreign i.e. Indonesian MB let the later track be inspired from some native MB like Bheel Mahabharata .. @CVs that will be pretty innovative what say???😎

I'm sure there must be one version of MB out there which credits Arjun with resolving the fiasco that was the Lakshagrah track...

But I have to ask - What is the main reason for adopting this mix-and-match MB? Is Vyasa's original version too "controversial" or something?

As per Starbharat, Drupad knows about chakravyuh and Shikhandini knows about chakravyuh (& both are supposed to fight on the Pandava side). I know Bhishma is Dhrit's yes-man now, but Arjun's reasoning with Madhav (about Pitamah getting them their kingdom) might just work and might make Pitamah cross over to the Pandava side during Kurukshetra, and consequently, Shikhandi might cross over to Kaurava side since he/she needs to be the cause of Pitamah's death. And, as punishment for asking a harsh life for Draupadi, Krishna could ensure that the first fatality of Kurukshetra could be Drupad himself.

And in Starbharat's Kurukshetra, since Drupad gets killed very early on, Shikhandi would be on the Kaurava side, Arjun occupied elsewhere, and Mahadev's boon to Jayadratha working in his favour, the whole chakravyuh plot could work itself out...

I known all this sounds ridiculous. But since StarDrupad and StarShikhandini have prior knowledge about chakravyuh...

Serious question - If ALL the blame for Drau's troubles ultimately falls on Drupad, then, what on earth will be the main purpose of the Kurukshetra war??? Looks like the Pandavas and Kauravas will have too much time on their hands, and so they'll decide to assemble in Kurukshetra...if at the end of it, StarDrupad will have to take the blame for everything that happens.
