Hello friends.

Welcome to the land of discussing story distortions, where many of us love to point out how, what & why certain pts shown differ from the Ved Vyas's Mahabhart, the original writer of this epic.

Some may say how do you know so much or have you read the original book, which is not awailable a it was a collection of poems. Well the answer can be those poems written in Sanskrit by Ganeshji is awailable as a compilation of Sanskrit Shlokas, may be with bit changes but the essence is retained in them. Mahabharat is translated in many languages. What we get online is KMG's translation of this epic, to check, to refer to to find out how much it differs from what we see in the show, which is not the original MB but an interpretation.

It is important to remember, the epi. we are seeing now were shot months back.

While discussing here creative criticism is allowed but bashing, insulting any character, member, makers of this show is strictly not allowed.

Hey guys,

I am here to post what i feel. the makers of the old mahabharat have clearly stated that their target audience was family. while this mahabharat says that they want to teach today's ignorant generation something about their values and sanskaars. so why do we openly criticize this mahabharat and compare it to the old mahabharat? dont these makers deserve a round of applause for their hardwork? 👏👏👏

please post your thinking as i would love to know what others feel 😊

So they'll teach Gen X & Gen Y about Mahabharata by showing the various characters in the story as punks?

Note that I hated BRC, and found Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna only somewhat better, but this one has wiped out any resemblance to the original.

No one is comparing it with old Mahabharat people are comparing it with ved vyas's MB and its translations. In any case serial is entertaining no doubt but i sincerly hope that new generation is not learning anything from this serial atleast factually.

well just in case anyone hasnt seen the FB page on the distortions, I will post this again cuz Knowledge increases by spreading it (just like gossip!!)

the earlier post on the page of Star Plus' factually Incorrect Mahabharat are very good, so check it out if you have not! And of course post all new distortions too! spread the word!

This serial is ruining the essence of our greatest ancient epic. Who the hell gave them the right to change the story of 'Mahabharata'?
If ruining an epic is an appreciative step, then surely these CVs deserve a huge round of applause.

I won't compare it with BRC, don't wish to insult them who were associated with the most successful show in the history of Indian television.

No one is learning anything...in fact, they all are getting the fake image of our epic, believing in this trash Starbharata!

I was getting so angry and frustrated while watching them butcher this great epic, that I stopped watching the show last week, itni shanti ho rahi man ko!!😃, why torture yourself for a fool's ignorance! Im not saying you should do the same lol. But I try to spread the word on the distortions and read you'll rants about this show

I dont know if you write on FB or twitter or Google plus about it, im sure you right? I would urge others to do the same
