In the Pandava household, aside from Hindi (Pandavas, Draupadi, Valandhara), you'd have

Naga - Uloopi
Manipuri - Chitrangada
Gujrati, Vraj - Subhadra
Bundeli - Karenamati
Magadhi - Jarasandha's daughter

and later, Mewari from Uttara.

Oh, and Krishna?

Marathi - Rukmini
Kannada - Jambavati (assuming that Jambavan was from Kishkindha)
Gujrati - Satyabhama
Haryanvi - Kalindi
Pashto - Bhadra (of Kekaya)
Hindi/Sanskrit - Mitravindya (since in that area of MP, Sanskrit is a spoken language in a few places, near Indore/Ujjain)

Well, a convo between Satyabhama and Kalindi would be a thing to behold.

Actually, when i was in Rajesthan, every other colony spoke a different dialect of Rajesthani .. it took me four years to get used to it all.

Some dialects are easy like marwari which sometimes sounds like Haryanwi ... difference being 'mahre' and 'manne' ...

some went over my head ... there is a big community of Jains in jodhpur that speak marwari.

And when i use to live in Allahabad, a small colony had people who spoke a mix of bundeli, braj and awadhi.(uttari dialect). My uncle speaks Puravi, i think it is a variation of awadhi too.

See, Awadhi and Magahi so alike, when a granny of mine who is from Kanpur and speaks awadhi and another granny who lives close to patna and speaks Magahi, when they converse with each other you wouldnt be able to tell the difference at first at all, even though both of them speak their own language.

Hindi - tumhara naam kya hai?

Awadhi- tumar/tohar naab ka hai?

Magahi - tor naam ka hayi?

Bhojpuri- tohar naaw ka haw?

So, its quite easy to go from magahi to bundeli to awadhi to brij(it is very close to (awadhi) to even bhojpuri.

bhojpuri being the most different.

Weirdly, when i was living in Haryana, i found that people speak awadhi there too.

I think buddha spoke the magahi too, a more standard version of it. Most people in gaya and boudh gaya speak magahi too.

And, haryanvi i understand because it is close enough to some Rajesthani dialect.

Rajputs in Rajesthan and Bihar speak identical, the difference is in the tone.😆 it is extremelyfunny believe me.
