Geeta should be strictly in Sanskrit...with English subtitles at least for me.

Panchaal would be UP/Uttarakhand and Madra would be in Punjab probably.

So madri would speak punjabi too?
And kunti?
Wow that would have been awesome, then whenever kunti-madri tried to have an arguement it would go no where.
Bechare pandu.Dono wives kya bolti hai kuch samajh nahi aata hoga ... On a different note, he wasnt so bechara ... Good for him. I dont think both the wives used to say nice things to him or about him when fighting.

Medha, you are the star of this thread since you can fill in so many conversationsšŸ‘ Since I'm not as gifted as you w/ languages, I'll do what Abhishek suggested, and give Karna a parting repartee @ Shalya, and then let it go.

Karna: Ami jani je apni amar atyobishwas sesh korey pheltey chaichen. Kintu amakey murkho bolbar agey, nijekei dekhun. Ashar shomoy, protyek sthaley na themey aar abantor protigya na diyey apni jodi shoja Yudisthirer shibirey jeten, taholey apni aaj Pandav der pokhkhey judhdho kortey parten aar amar hatey birgoti prapt hoten. Ei shutoputror sharothi na hoyey

Translation: I know that you're trying to undermine my confidence. But before calling me ignorant, just look at yourself. If during your journey, you hadn't stopped at every stop and given a redundant vow but had instead gone straight on until you got to Yudisthir's camp, you could have fought this war on the Pandava side and died @ my hands. Instead of being a charioteer to this sutaputra

i think krishna would use bhojpuri.

The Krishna of Gokul, Vrindavan, and maybe even Mathura would use Bhojpuri. But the Krishna of Dwarka would use Gujrati. Since the period in question would have been after Krishna's shift to Dwarka (which is when all his interaction w/ the Pandavas happen), he would have to be a Gujju speaker here šŸ˜†

I hadn't even imagined that this thread would turn into a laughter riot 🤣
Had the CVs used this multilingual concept, their blunders could have been forgiven to some extent. What say? 🤣

I'm the culprit here for hijacking your thread. This could even be a branch of CNAT šŸ˜†

I think Karna would be wherever Kuntibhoj's kingdom would have been - upper Ganga? - so I'm not sure of that. But as ruler of Anga, Bengali or Nepali would be it - if you consider Darjeeling & Sikkim to be a part of his kingdom.

Jarasandha: Magadhi (today's Patna), Hindi
Sishupala: Bundeli, Hindi (he was from the Jhansi area, not AP)
Jayadrath: Sindhi
Shalva: Gujrati (his kingdom may have been in Kutch)
Drupada: Hindi (central UP)
Shalya: Punjabi (Madra was Punjab - the land within the 5 rivers, which is why we had him talking Punjabi)
Rukmi: Marathi (since Vidarbha is in Maharashtra)
Rukmini: Marathi as a princess, and Gujrati for after she married & went to Dwarka
Uttara: Mewari, Hindi
Subhadra: Gujrati (Dwarka), Hindi (Mathura & Indraprastha)
Draupadi: Hindi
Madri: Punjabi & Hindi. Maybe Haryanvi? šŸ˜†
Kunti: vrajboli(vraj) due to Shura, ??? due to Kuntibhoj (see Karna) and Hindi due to Pandu
Duhsala: Hindi & Sindhi
Gandhari: Pashto (Shakuni) and Hindi (Dhritarashtra)

Incidentally, one correction - Gandhara was not today's Kandahar, despite the similarity in name. Gandhara was the area of Jalalabad, Kabul, Bactria - the eastern parts of Afghanistan.

For the sons of the Pandavas, it becomes more interesting. For instance, Abhimanyu was born in Indraprastha, but brought up in Dwarka, not just by Subhadra, who'd be bilingual, but also by Rukmini, Pradhyumna, Satyaki et al. Same for Draupadi's sons - they'd have Hindi, from the time they were in Indraprastha & Panchala, but since they were then moved to Dwarka, they'd have been raised by Subhadra & her bhabis as well. So on their S/R night, Abhimanyu would speak Gujrati & Uttara Mewari šŸ˜†

Not seeing your favorite language in the above list? Well, let's see. Odia - the rulers of Kalinga were Kaurava allies. Chattisgarhi - would be spoken by Krishna's wife Satya & her father Nagnajit. Kashmiri? Sudakshina of Kambhoja, as well as Bahlika, Somadatta & Bhurishravas. Kannada by Hanuman, since he was from Kishkinda aka Hampi aka Vijayanagar. Maybe Telegu can be assigned to him as well? Sinhala/Tamil by Vibhishan, who once sent an envoy to Yudisthir's Rajasuya yagna. Malayalam? Dunno.
