Episode 341 Discussion: 3rd August 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

which is this song which was played today? it was lovely..
"alvida"..a very nice touching romantic scene b/w RM..

RK-Bittuji scene was equally good with some exceptional dialogues which always bring a smile to my face...Thank you Mr. RS for being biased to RK 👏

rest of the episode doesn't need my attention 🥱 i'm done..i wanna think abt the good things only...

PS vaise , itna nikamma don i haven't seen..he doesn't like to give his brain or himself any takleef, or may be he doesn't wanna take the credit/discredit for all this leechadpanti that he's doing...ab dil bhi Madhu tode, divorce bhi Madhu le, Bhai bas pyar karne ke liye bane hain...did i hear that he's doing a favor to RK by leaving him alive for Madhu? 🤣 delusional much..that's how he's a goldie..hides the kaali kartoots behind the oh so nice gestures..🤢

Bhai is delusional...RK will never believe Madhu if she tells him she wants a divorce. Worst case scenario ...instead of ending up in hospital with a broken heart ...he will go with vengeance behind Madhu. In short he will never be able to separate Rishbala. I am still surprised how he has managed to garner all these resources and brain in last 10 episodes. Lately it seems that the entire Mumbai is on Bhai's payroll.

As for Madhu...I don't know why she is hiding stuff...actually she now has proof...the letter in fan mail I am just hoping that there is a twist here somewhere otherwise honestly I am done with the show. I would rather take amnesia track than divorce track.

Move this along, people! Am losing patience over here! They are completely dragging this thing out, to the extent that any aura of juicy suspense is being destroyed.

A total let down - despite my hopes, there is no grand plan. RK was genuinely snoozing in blissful oblivion. So he had no idea of the drama going on in the background.
Why on earth are they showing so much of Sultan victimizing Madhu? At this stage, it's becoming puke-worthy. He gives some more of his usual unintentionally absurd dialogues. As expected, Sultan deletes Madhu's video recording.
Sweet lovely song with Madhu and RK.
The next day: RK is concerned about Madhu's state of mind and health – orders Bittuji to get him bail ASAP.
So 24 hour deadline - for Madhu to sign divorce papers, and for RK to get bail. Ok.
At RK Mansion, Dips yet again shows her nastiness - slips the threatening photo/card into the pile of fan mail. Madhu shoves it into the drawer – to be found by someone later?

At some point during the episode, I kind of lost it, couldn't take any more and started fast-forwarding. So I may have missed something of substance (no, am not counting the Pads-Madhu convo.)

On to more of the same next week. I don't know whether to be happy or sad about the SRK ME on Wed. On the one hand, it seems like it will be great. On the other, appears like it is a reason for the track to drag on interminably.

i do not like this track. But I have to admit there a few things I like:

RM scenes- no dialogues...no touching...but yet so effective
Madhu's dilemma is being brought out very well. of course we can argue about the number of bloopers in this whole 'Sultan is dead' bit. But somehow, today, I felt I could understand why Madhu would go ahead and ask for a divorce. I also think it is mostly to DD's credit. She portrays the helplessness, desperation of nonone believing her story, Sultan's torture (yes, emotional atyacharr it is) very effectively. She looks miserable and defeated. Don't know if it is the overall exhaustion that is adding an extra touch to her scenes, but she is doing a great job👏.
Paddy does not know her daughter at all. yeh tu kya bol rahi hai...ad infinitum...ad nauseum! And she's camped in RK mansion?? Oh maa
What can I say about Sultan...he is around for too long, mouthing the same dialogues, with the same expression. It is excruciatingly boring. Can't wait for this track to end.

Dont want to dwell on Dipali and Sultan too much...😡

Let us just say...I saw the entire episode in mere 5 min...only saw RK's piece. I am disgusted by Sultan, Dips antics and Mumbai Police's inefficiency. RK's dimaag has gone on permanent vacation along with that of Bittuji. Honestly I am really really praying that there is a major twist in favor of Rishbala in ME and things start to fall apart for Sultan otherwise the show is doomed. Viewers have only limited patience and the show has managed to use up all of it.

I was really hoping against hope that by the time SRK visits, this track will be done and Bhai would be packed off, seems not happening, the Halloween continues, Bhai dons waiter or DJ costume and will crash the SRK party, even that day we won't be spared his manhoos shakal

Now RK too thinks madhu is delusional and Sulthan actually died after believing her story once!

What. Could madhu say to convince RK for divorce in 24hrs?? RK wouldnt buy any possible thing she would comeup with, madhu learnt nothing from past, hiding things from RK never helps, should have shown divorce papers to him,rather than lying

So how did RK manage bail after court session now? On health grounds?? Not that I complain,

Still still the optimist in me believes this is all RK big plan, him not believing madhu, convinced of sulthan death and all, how could I think rK could be so dumb?

RK madhu Bittuji scenes are so nice

I am still waiting for madhu rage at its full display once before Bhai, he is pushing her too much,

Additional thoughts:

Although this track is driving me insane, there's a couple of things that occurred to me after reading the reviews above:

The bond or connection between Rishbala is really appearing to be deepening. The two truly seem like a couple.
Am hoping that Madhu does a nari-shakti thing and teaches the lech a lesson somehow. And that RK is not a passive observer in all this.
And on the topic of hopes, hoping that Sultan is conclusively dealt with (heh heh heh - evil laugh) soon either by RM or Bhujang or Meera or Kaka - he has exceeded his use-by-date.

Going to be one of the exception-to-the-rule episodes where I liked something even more than the Rishbala scenes (though I did *love* those😳).

Specifically, the photo Madhu received of her holding RK's hand at night in his hospital-room.

Had accepted that RK might pretend - first to now believing quite inexplicably all of a sudden that Sultan is really dead (when he had been completely convinced by Madhu's word at the jail), and then to being asleep throughout the time Madhu was with him.
But even in Madhu's absence, his continuing the pretence of sleeping, waking up and being totally convinced of Sultan's death was confounding.😕
He woke up entirely by himself - no apparent reason to pretend since there was no one else in the room.
Then when he spoke to Bittuji with certainty of Sultan's death, again there was no third person in the room to indicate any reason why RK would not speak without obfuscation to Bittuji.

Why would RK suddenly without any cause go from being convinced by Madhu's claim about Sultan's faking death despite no evidence to back her, to suddenly being totally convinced that she was imagining things?😕

Did RK suspect or believe that his hospital-room was under surveillance?

Why else would he go from assuring Madhu at the jail that he absolutely believed her claim about Sultan, and even be aware and reacting to the attempt to trap Sultan... to suddenly switching to claiming that he had killed Sultan, the fellow was dead, and Madhu's claims were because of her stress?

How the heck was the photo taken from inside the room, from the side opposite the door, if there had been no one else in the room beside Madhu and RK?

The photo was taken from an angle with an interior view of the bed and also the side of the room that has the room's door.

And in all these points is the thing that should send Madhu into paranoid rage, rather than the desperate terror they are likely to show her portraying in the next few episodes.

Madhu should never have immediately checked her phone for the recording.
It wasn't as if she'd have been able to do anything about it if the recording hadn't come through.
She got the recording done, fine. Fear of losing it should have kept her from bothering to check it.
Assume the fellow would return as shown in any number of 'detective' serials and films.
Go and sit by your husband's side and hold his hand in lovelorn fashion, both because you want to do that, and also so that if the other guy comes back, he sees nothing in you of shrewdness or planning but simply a helpless devoted wife.
In the morning, after RK wakes up, get Bittuji, Radha and Padmini there as well - with the stated reason that it would help make things feel better. Don't bother with the logic. Several people have already been proclaiming your wits to be affected by stress.
Then, *without* explaining anything, check your phone quietly, and mail off the video (without opening it) to several other numbers, preferably press, and in fact every person whose number is on your contact list.
Then open the video. If it's working, RK and four other 'biased witnesses' will see it.
At worst, the video is not working.
But if it's working, there's no one in the room or in your entire acquaintance who won't have seen (depending on when they open the video) Sultan very much alive and talking his drivel.
The important thing is not that everyone who gets the video open it and see.
The important thing is that at least several of them may keep it even without opening it, thereby inadvertently storing it in case anything is done to your phone.

But she did none of this.
Nor has she shown the inclination to terminate that person's existence in a manner which would leave him bleeding copiously from multiple injuries as a clear proof by his freshly bleeding corpse that he is recently deceased.🤢

If Madhu has the goal of getting RK out of jail and the willingness to sacrifice her happy life to that end, then killing Sultan may prove far more satisfactory😃, rather than needlessly making herself and RK miserable with this 'divorce' fiasco stretching through the next several episodes.

We could still have boring courtroom drama after she kill the gangster.
At least she would have dealt with the matter proactively rather than being shown as helpless, harassed and - most infuriatingly - ineffective.

Because if this is so that we can feel sympathy for desperate Madhu, and finally agree with Madhu repeating her mother's lethal feat, really feeling that this is going on stretched far too long. Mission accomplished ages back. Just let her get on with the repeat now with cause enough, and no need to show her suffering more as more cause.
They killed Balraj off in a jiffy, and didn't even show the corpse afterward, leave aside bringing him back from the dead.😡😭
So could they hurry up with more warranted cause here?🥱
Madhu is the female lead. Could she please not be shown as less fiercely lethal than her mother, especially since her virtue and wifely fidelity are both under threat in the current situation?

And quite apart from everything else, RK is the last person Madhu should try breaking off with on grounds of saving his life.
Having his impression of his idolized father shattered was cause enough for him to try to kill himself.
If he actually ever believes Madhu - who he loves more than anything else in the world - would desert him, either he'll kill himself or he'll pursue and get her back any which way, knowing her love for him can never be doused.
In the situation with his previous suicide-attempt none too distantly past, Madhu would just be risking his dying by his own hand, in her attempt to keep him from dying at someone else's hand.
And this track has several more episodes to go.🥱

Would it have hurt in some way to show the audience in a secret moment that at least RK knows and is pretending?
This suspense is causing an extreme feeling of revulsion and bitterness at the leads having gone from having their characterization maligned to now playing insensible and helpless.🥱
Some proactive determination would be appreciated, and *soon* damnit. Not after several episodes more of having Madhu looking increasingly harassed like prey, with her every plan and effort foiled.
It's inspiring not with sympathy for the characters (neither of whom has behaved so insensibly or helplessly before😕😡), just an overwhelming resentment against the track.🤢
