Sultan lost his parents during his childhood and he chose the path of crime, so he is GOOD👏 But mind you, he was never betrayed by anyone. His wife died because of his fault in an accident.

RK saw his father hanging himself, he saw his mother neglecting him and marrying another man just after his dad's death and his LOVER left him for green pasture. What makes you think that even after all this he would RESPECT women? Atleast NOW he is TRYING! So why can't we feel bad for him?

Mohan Kundra is the only untainted memory with him and he is dearly ATTACHED to his father. Now even that memory is gonna be TAINTED soon. What is RK's fault in all this?

If he is INSECURE, if he is an ABUSER, is he is disrespectful, then that is because the people in his life, have always BETRAYED him at every point. Even after so many heartbreaks if that man is standing today, then hats off to him. Atleast he didn't choose a shortcut like Sultan and become a criminal. Atleast he isn't sitting idle at home like Sikky!

RK is BAD, but the same RK is feeding so many people at his AASHRAM like MANSION. Isn't it a good trait in him?

i can say it on behalf of all sulbalians who r still rooting for sulbala...to mk it clear to both RK fans n anti mb sulbalians...WE DONT WANT a LUVSTORY NOW...even if madhu was NOT married STILL we wud want Sulbala to happen as slowly as poss Coz neither is this shw ending nytime soon and we r in NO HURRY for their intimate scns...we hv watchd so much diabetic romance in the shw that even the simplest convos betwn sulbala r like a breathe of fresh air n even before wedding we were not dying for sulbala to bcum romantically involved soon...our attitude didnt change before or after the wedding...that time also we knew SULBALA will TK a LONG time to Happen BUT WILL HAPPEN n this time too we hv the hopes intact nor i want a new gal for SULTAN jus coz he doesnt hv any gal to romance with...SULTAN N sULBALA has always been well above all this n will always be...CUMING TO THE WAITING...THE LATER the BETTER...coz that means LONGER period of AVISHTI togthr on same frame...NOT NECESSARILY COOCHIE COOING all the time...

Sultan has already been used as an excuse all throughout pre-wedding, for RK's stalking, his harassment, etc. He is a jackass on his own. And we can't forget all of what he did. As if some measly words are enough to forget RK's abusive behavior, and as if this new 'chance at life' has all gone to hell simply because of Sultan.

Showing the abusive relationship is not what's insulting insulting to woman. What is insulting to women is wiping off and clearing the abuse we've seen, and pretending all is fine and dandy.

I've defended the CVs for their portraying abuse in this relationship, even when it's passed off as love, because it works from a narrative point of view. But it was still abuse and it was clear to many. But it would be INSULTING and DEGRADING to expect us to pretend all of the earlier stuff can just be swept away, forgotten. That's what's insulting.

Let me declare that I am a Rishbala shipper. Am not going to hide my inclination under the guise of virtual social activism or intellectualism. 😊

I may not have understood clearly, forgive me, but my takeaway from this post is:

RK the abuser = Sultan deserves madhu

if abuse is involved, where's the connection between the two?? If RK is being portrayed as an abuser, please complain to the right regulatory authority. Drag the channel, PH to the papers, make them explain, create an awareness. That would help all those teenyboppers out there who may think that true love equals RK-Madhu. Oh yes, you cannot possible say, RK - the abuser, and compare SUltan to any authority.

This kind of discussion on this forum reaches a very small percentage of people, and only creates phangurl wars. yes, that is all this discussion has achieved, right? And please don't deny the phangurl bit, because all of us here are phangurls of either Sultan or RK.

I come to the forum very rarely. I read this post in the morning. And later I read about the shocking abuse of celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, by her husband at a restaurant.

That is called abuse...in real life. And since it is not a serial, the lady is not going to take revenge to teach her husband a lesson!! I was horrified because I am a great fan of Nigella's. Why would such an independent, famous celebrity put up with abuse?? These are not questions easily answered. i could talk about the characters...defend RK, etc etc, but am not doing it, because we are talking of serious abuse issues right?? And RK VS SUltan has been done to death in this post anyways.

So please don't use words like abuse randomly. We are talking about a television serial. Tomorrow, they may well change their characters completely depending on the exigencies of the PH, or the channel. All of us would come out looking like fools😆

I love your initial disclaimer. A lot of the issues in this forum would be solved if people are so upfront about their specific preferences and not cook verbal spaghettis trying to rationalize what is often merely an aesthetic preference. Look, I totally get that you find Vivian hot. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't think I'd be watching Madhubala if I didn't find Avinesh Rekhi hot at some level.

I am one of those who is not a Sulbala shipper. I firmly believe that RK the abuser does not equal to Sultan deserves Madhu. Let's set aside the character of Sultan for a minute, and frankly bringing Sultan in is not germane to a discussion of the Madhu-RK relationship.

If you've been following the show from the beginning like I have, you'll see that RK's abusive behaviour towards Madhu is explicitly shown and identified as such. It's horrifying that now the writers of the show are engaged in an effort to induce selective amnesia among the viewers by pretending that the past behaviour did not take place.

That is just not kosher, because you are giving mixed messages to some very young, impressionable girls and boys who have not seen enough of life and relationships to know how absurd the story arc in Madhubala really is. In real life, a man like RK would never ever do an about turn of the sort shown here. You may call it fictive licence, but that still doesn't quell the feeling that the show creatives are condoning such misogyny.

What's even worse is that a gazillion threads here have women, those who are usually at the receiving end of such behaviour, championing RK's character and actions. It feels like collective Stockholm syndrome honestly.

So Saatchi gripped at Nigella's throat and tried to choke her and that's domestic abuse? Damn right it is! I hope Nigella takes him to the cleaners and the police.

RK emotionally mind-f**ked Madhu, pretended to love her, ditched her at the alter, harassed her at her workplace, kidnapped her and forcibly imprisoned her at his home, handcuffed her to him and then pretended to kill himself if she didn't love him back.

Apparently, according to a large number of women on this forum, this is not abusive behaviour. Well you know - damn right it is! A normal woman would have hauled his ass to prison and taken him to the cleaners for all he's worth.

I do not know weather RK is abusive but he is arrogant and full of himself and very sarcastic and very needy. He also does not treat people with respect including his mom. Some of these behavioral problems may be submissive depend up on the situation for instance when it comes to Madu he changed his behavior from hate to love he feels he needs her in life so he is willing to scarify his ego for that weather it is his need or love some times i get confused i think that is why lot of people are confused about his character in my opinion
