Ok, Madhu is unmarried.

Reason - Madhu and RK never got married, traditionally or legally.

I agree that the way they married was not right but that does not mean that legally they were not married ...

n sadly CVs didn't follow any tradition in India...

n legally ...😕 even now I don't know or understand how they r married legally...

Probably they are referring to that so called 'contract' which Madhu never even signed. The 'contract' which stated that Madhu will act as a security deposit for the money borrowed 😆

Madhu married or unmarried????? At the time of 4 pehras RK told Madhu that you will be thinking rest of your life, you are married or not, as he did 4 pehras and put mangalsutra on her but did not put sindur.

As per contract she is her wife till 40 lacs has been paid to him. But that is not marriage it is like he bought her. It is not lawful.

Marriage has to be register in court of law. I don't think they did. So they are not married.

But by common law if a man and woman stay together for 6 months, they are consider husband and wife by common law, specially when the society and familes and themself consider as couple.

But in the drama it all depend on the story writter.

As an audience we may come up with our own conclusions and interpretations.

but MEIEJ is a fictional show..n we go by what a character is conveying to us ..and she clearly said ..she was married to him... so no confusion at all...

Never thought I would quote Dips but Madhu is the "char pherowali adhi adhuri biwi". Just as that sounds ambiguous so too is what I feel about her marital status. Rituals were not done properly and the contract was done with Malik's thumbprint. 😕

She clearly lied to media, had she revealed about the so called 'contract' to them, the whole community would see how dumb an educated women of today can be.

A girl living with a man, sharing his bed purely under a 'contract' which will be trashed by any law court. Sure reflects how educated Madhu is. Even ill-literates don't do that.

Damn these writers who mock women in every way possible.
