“The Truth Is Only One”: Yuzvendra Chahal finally speaks on Dhanashree’s cheating allegations

After weeks of online speculation and gossip, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has finally addressed the chatter surrounding his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma and the allegations of infidelity that have followed their split. The Indian spinner said he has had enough of the baseless talk and made it clear that he’s long moved on from that chapter of his life.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Chahal reportedly called the accusations false and mentally draining, adding that the entire conversation around his past relationship has stretched far beyond reason.

“Chapter Closed,” Says Chahal

Chahal said the claims of cheating don’t add up with the timeline of their four-and-a-half-year marriage. He explained that if disloyalty had truly been involved early on, their relationship would not have lasted that long. According to him, he has already made peace with the past, but some people continue to cling to it for their own reasons. The cricketer added that while others may still be making noise about it online, he has no desire to engage or respond anymore.

He emphasised that this would be the final time he speaks about his marriage, stressing that the truth is simple and known to those who matter. Everything else, he said, is just social media chatter that feeds on assumptions.

Moving Forward in Life and Cricket

Now 35, Chahal said his focus is squarely on his personal growth and cricketing career. He mentioned that he doesn’t wish to revisit old matters and prefers to keep his attention on what lies ahead.

Chahal and Dhanashree had married in December 2020 after meeting during the lockdown when he joined her online dance sessions. Their divorce was finalised earlier this year, with reports claiming that she received around Rs 4.75 crore in alimony. Dhanashree is currently part of the OTT reality show Rise and Fall, while Chahal is rumoured to be seeing content creator RJ Mahvash.
