Also, Dev went back to office full time esp after they got back together & even launched some new product ( and gave a speech where he gave Sona the credit for his success). So to say he didn't leave anything is such a stretch. See this is the issue. What he did may not be a big deal but it's the dismissal of everything he did which is a big deal. And every sequence where he showed regret is conveniently dismissed (it was a consequence of his action/he was drugged/just a token apology/what's the big deal).

Behen sonakshi aur Jatin ka baacha tha kya. Is not Dev than sonakshi and you would'nt be hailing her as great for doing the bare minimum. Baccha paida karke itna toh you do na.

Also 6 months that's literally a parenity leave. It's good and all that he did but it's not something he sacrificed etc. It's something that any good husband should do. That's it.

Regret ka kya karein aage ya toh material actions ho.

Honestly lot of us even were fine with Dev in second season, I think notmuggle would agree. It looked like did grow up but season 3 jo bhi chota mota redemption tha sab baha diya. So all the frustration is coming up again because it seems like he hasnt learnt at all. That's also a reason.

Apology = maafi

Regret = pachtava

Suffering = dukh

Redemption = paschatap.

Difference samjho in sab me. Synonyms nhi hain.

Good that this question some raised 😍😍

Lol I have criticised everyone except mamiji i.e Gkb.

That's because I am a simp for Alka mogha. Mesmerized whenever she's on screen. Baaki sab kuch bhi karo.

It's alright if you think so, that's your opinion.

I am yet to come across a scene where he properly said "I shouldn't have thrown you out of my house, I shouldn't have mocked your infertility or called you a gold digging homewrecker. I shouldn't have humiliate you & your family. I am sorry" instead of shifting the blame on her & saying he shouldn't have "let her go". He didn't even admit till the end that he threw her out & she didn't go on her own. So I would also stay firm in my opinion that he didn't own up to his actions & didn't apologise for them.

And you don't need to repeat my words to me. I didn't say your perspective was "skewed". You quoted my post saying mine was. That was my answer to you. I disagree with you, but I am not frustrated because of you having it & neither am I desperate to change it or mock it.

Take care 😅

Yes, I actually loved season 2. Season 2 was the only phase of this show which I would call "progressive". I made my amends thinking okay.... they didn't show him realising or redeeming properly....but at least they showed he grew as a character & became mature.

But since he is back to his pre-leap self in season 3, I am forced to think that maybe all that was just a temporary change of heart.... with time which changed again. Blame cvs for it, blame Dev for it .... same thing. It's not like Dev is a real flesh & blood character. He is what makers show him to be.

And I would very strongly oppose if someone even suggest that season 2 was him sacrificing for Sonakshi's sake. Why for Sonakshi's sake & not for Shubh's sake?🤔 Shubh was his child too. Not Sonakshi's alone. For the first six months (& we don't know how many months before the delivery) Sonakshi did leave her office & took care of Shubh 24x7. I don't see anyone saying Sonakshi sacrificed her 6 months for Dev. I don't want to either because she sacrificed it for Shubh, who was her child. And when Dev decided to take care of Shubh, it's the same for Dev too. He took care of his own child. How is that a sacrifice made for his wife's sake? Stop glorifying over something that his wife does without making any hue & cry over it.

It's the same like how just by going to her father's house for one night Sonakshi became an incapable mother because she left the kids in their father's care for just one night. And Dev suddenly became a great father by managing the kids for just one night 🤪

Its the same thought season 2 opposed. taking care of kids is not only the duty of kids. nor are mothers inherently better at it.

if that were so you're implying single fathers are inherently worse parents. mothers and fathers are equally important for kids.

Apologies , if any of my note did make it sound bashing a character. I was only discussing the shades of character of Dev that was translated on to the screen.

My understanding of this forum is that its a platform to discuss and share thoughts on different attributes of characters portrayed in the show. Dev and Sonakshi being the central character of this show , definitely people would discuss and its quiet natural for any viewer to have their personal favorites.

Now coming to the thought why Dev seems to be discussed more is, because this story is about a son who blindly loves his mom and how this blind affection affects his spouse and children. Any such affection with a lack of balance will shake the harmony and sanctity of marriage. And this is so beautifully portrayed by Shaheer and Erica along with Supriya ji .

And People who have watched this show love Dev and Sonakshi equally but as the story goes , Dev has always been shown to take Sonakshi for granted and that's what is being discussed and the current season is ONLY concentrating on their story unlike previous two seasons where we saw some glimpse of the supporting characters story too. Hence more to discuss about Dev and his affection for Sonakshi.

According to them I am worst mother. When I wanted peace n my own time, I told my husband take children n go away for some hrs. And he took my children n webt out n I was just staying at home doing nothing..🤣.

I really wonder if they portray like me wife n mother, how much bashing I would get. Bcoz I make my children n husband helping me in jadoo poocha, n washing dishes, veg cutting etc., as last 1.5 yrs I don't have maid bcoz of covid. ..😆
