Precisely my point. The character in question, has, in the last 380+ episodes, not given us any reason to believe that she would want to be bubble wrapped in her husband's love because she has a potentially difficult pregnancy ahead of her (and that is where I have a bone to pick with her... for later). So I would not dictate what she should wish or do. She has shown us she missed the pampering which I am sure she will get ample of.. and wants to reach newer heights professionally.

In fact, I'd really love for Dev to offer some consultancy help for a brief period.

The possibilities are endless. Especially now, when she has a feminist husband, a fairly independent 8 year old, helpful mother in law, ample household help, drivers, her parents live in the same town, her brother and 3 sisters-in-law live in the same town... everyone of them are young and active so she can always rope them in as and when needed. She lives in the day and age of video calls, remote working... I am not whitewashing the role of a parent. I am simply saying, she can have it all. She is very well covered for emergencies too.

Her brother and she are partners in this business. They can hire people to help her. She hasn't yet been medically asked to put her feet up at a 4-6 week old pregnancy.

Her mother in law is kickass... She independently brought up 4 kids in dire poverty and is learning new skills well into her retirement years. Her mother has reinvented herself at an older age.

And I thought that was the whole point of the show... That fairytales don't exist.. We live a practical life and enjoy the moments we catch (the latest rain sequence was all about that!). Soulmates become life partners.

Now the pregnancy.. I can understand why Sonakshi never followed up after Soha was born to check what exactly is going on with her reproductive health. However, for Dev & Sona to not look into it even now, i.e. after reviving their sexual lives is very disappointing. Neither of them seems to have followed up to check on the "inhospitable uterus" diagnosis. Furthermore, she visits an ob-gyn, without telling her husband... I can still ignore that, assuming she probably thought its nothing and didn't want to get anyone's hopes up.. I dont see the point of carrying all this burden on your shoulders

However, if now, Ishwari and Sona decide to play the risks down to Dev, I will find that highly disputable. Sonakshi is Dev's wife. Just as she deserved to know about her health (when Dev found out when they got married), he deserves to know about the risks his wife is carrying.. She is the mother of his child. Its very irresponsible to romanticise this and I am still holding on to the hope that this will be a joint informed decision.

BTW DQ and Sam, I really enjoyed the debates here. My preferred mode of debate is a heated one, but the spirit of this thread does not allow that. Would be good if we can continue our discussions here after the serial is over... let's see 🤔

@JShukla, What is your idea of a heated debate? We would think the polite nature of the thread allows for all discussions and debates. Things you would say to someone face to face are all welcomed here

@Sam, @DQ Sorry for going overboard with my language... I have edited the parts mentioned by @Sam in the post...

@DQ Definitely agreed with all that you have said, especially in the last paragraph... I just hope that she reveals the complete truth to Dev as soon as possible...

Not only for Sona, the knowledge of the complications regarding the pregnancy is of utmost importance to Dev... He has berated himself a lot, in the last few months, especially after coming back together, for not being there with Sonakshi while she was pregnant with Soha...

So, this pregnancy will finally give him an opportunity to forgive himself and move forward... At the same time, Sona needs to fully trust Dev with her fears... Once she opens up, it will just deepen the bond between both of them...

I do feel that she will be hesitant, not due to her ego or pride, but simply because she will be scared about his reaction and the fear of history repeating itself..

For both of them, the 9 months of Soha pregnancy has been a difficult phase to deal with.. For Dev, because he was not there and for Sona, because she was sort of... alone.. Hence, I think this pregnancy will give them an opportunity to let go of their torments related to Soha's pregnancy...

At the same time, it will give them both an opportunity to understand each other better and hence, I feel this pregnancy will be also present a learning curve for both of them to understand each other better...

I liked the entire episode of Tuesday, 08/15. It was very short but sweet. Loved how flashbacks were used in connection with Sonakshi's pregnancy. I am so eagerly waiting to see Dev's emotions, expressions, feelings, happiness and joy when he finds out about Sonakshi's pregnancy. Loved to watch The Happy Trio "Dev-Sona-Soha". Finally, the hope of happy days for my 3D, Dear Dev Dixit, is making me happy and content.

Even within all the sadness I still have, it just irks me to see and hear RR bragging about her RED. I want to tell her so bad that she needs to wake up and see the truth that her son has only become big man due to some ones clean and big heart still filled with only love for everyone. My only wish left after telling GKB about Vicky's business truth (and everyone knowing Vicky/RR truth) is Tripathis' departure from Dixit House.

Dixits need to lead to a peaceful and happy life filled with only love for each other that they always deserved. I am eager to see rest of the 8 episodes though still sad why not 80 or more?

Thanks.

Ji 😊

PS: Saw all the KRPKAB actors' interviews of last day of the shoot. Supriyaji's and Shaheer's interviews made me extremely emotional and teary eyed. Also read Supriyaji's farewell message and Shaheer's reply to her on Instagram/Twitter - just so emotionally heartfelt. Watching them in the show as mother-son, it never felt like they were acting. In my opinion, other than their extra ordinary acting skills, their mutual off screen bonding, understanding and mother-son affections were the biggest reasons for Ishwari-Dev to be "THE BEST Mother-Son Duo" in the history of television shows. Hats off to my most favorite characters of KRPKAB - Ishwari & Dev.

@underlined - this is precisely where I have a problem with this approach. while the pregnancy gives everyone enough opportunities to wash off the guilt (Dev in terms of pampering and sona to allow dev to pamper her), doing something like this at the cost of her health and potentially her life (risky pregnancies can cause fatalities) is not something I support. I am certain, I will have Dev on my side on this one 😊

DQ, she has reached the exact point where Dev has been, all of the points. And this was a major one for her. When Dev was given the report of Sonakshi having only 7% chances of being a mother, he had to choose being Ishwari's son or Sona's lover, to be Dev and he made the choice to be Sona's lover. Now Sonakshi is in the same place, to be BOse daughter or Lover Sona or Sonakshi. And from the segment where she was shown to sit next to Ishwari on sofa while the later talks about how Nikki was a premie baby, she will choose to keeping the baby. And I totally agree that she should tell Dev the truth regarding the complications. But as she is now I don't see her doing that. The makers have not really given any indication that Sonakshi has learnt her lessons. She still doesn't tell the truth.

I will wait for the episodes to air and will probably stop hoping that they will show some realization and introspection of Sonakshi.

umm... why? What does revealing the risks of the pregnancy have anything to do with her being a daughter?

DQ, as you said high risk pregnancies can cause fatalities. And I have personally seen what happens at that time, when you have to put your life on the line everyday with the hope that it won't be your last. I had a friend who had one such high risk pregnancy. By the time she was 2 months pregnant, the doctors told her that she needs complete bed rest and that she needs to shift to hospital so that they can take care of her and save her baby and her. During her time there she was not allowed to meet anyone except her husband, was asked not to watch/read any news, movies, music or even books which can cause provocative emotions like happy, sad, angry, anxious, anything that could make her heart beat faster than the normal rate. Even her talk with her parents was limited and restricted to basic formalities. Cause anything more would cause emotions of being happy or sad and the doctors told her that is bad for her baby. She was told that she can listen to soothing and calming music. And she was able to go till 7th month when she delivered the baby.

Right now Bioy has told her that "Saurabh cannot handle the company by himself". Saurabh too told her that he cannot "handle" the company right now as Ronita is pregnant and he needs to focus on that. If Sonakshi decides to go through this pregnancy, she will have to tell Dev the whole truth. And as you said he will not want her to go through it at the cost of her life. But if she says that she wants to have this baby, Dev will not stop her or force her to terminate the pregnancy. But will definitely expect her to take care of herself and follow doctors orders to the last word. And the doctors orders might interfere with her ability to be the head honcho at Bose company. Which means she has to choose between being the perfect daughter of Bose family and not disappoint Bijoy or tell Bijoy that she is going on an indefinite medical leave. And there might be a possibility that she might not have much time to delegate all her responsibilities that she handled at Bose company.

She can ask Dev to take care of it for her, but once again will that be palatable to Bijoy as for him his "self respect" is very important. Meaning he might not like Dev being the one calling shots at Bose company. If that was ok, then Sonakshi wouldn't have wanted to maintain 2 different identities in the first place. And hence my words that she will have to choose who she wants to be -- the Bose daughter(specifically BD -- Bijoy's daughter) responsible for Bose family, being the son or be Sonakshi, the one who loves Dev.

Not telling the father of the child that his wife is running a high risk pregnancy is irresponsible. We have not yet been told that Sonakshi needs complete cutting off from the world.. have we? Would a father, mother, mother in law, brother, sisters let a woman put her life in risk if that means the business suffers? Did the ob-gyn tell Sonakshi she needs to be listening to calming music, not working, not using her brain?
I am sorry Shaavi, you are extrapolating the story that has been shown.. All I said is, Dev should know. Sona knows and Ishwari knows.. If either of them choose not to tell him, they are both irresponsible. And before we try and decide who is more irresponsible, I am not interested in deciding who is more wrong

PS: I am sorry for the trauma your friend and her family went through. I hope they are all enjoying their bundle of joy.
