I think the show is way off track and they do an amazing job of glorifying all the wrong things but there is one observation I had to make. About how much we are affected by what we see and we rarely dig deep to see whether that person deserves censure/sympathy. Dev has been quite selfless in a lot of ways in so far as his family is concerned. To the extent that he destroyed his own life in the process. He was the only one managing the company for all practical purposes and its obvious he adores Golu and loves Soha. Yet at this point, Vicky and mami have created this illusion of being there for Dev and handling his business and home for all these years. While the truth is that they leached off Dev and screwed his life and he finally had enough of it, what is being perceived is the exact opposite.
Reality- Vicky was freeloading and destroyed Dev's life and Dev finally lost itPerception- Vicky made mistakes. Big deal. He is trying to change himself but Dev is being a bully and abusing the reformed Mahatma GandhiReality- He never cared for the kids and tried his best to get rid of Soha. Used Golu to get Dev's property while Dev loves Golu and Soha selflesslyPerception- Aww Vicky is amazing. He loves the kids and spends time with them. Bigcha/papa is a bully who cant see it and he needs to bow down to amazing Vicky😆Reality- Dev did mistakes and screwed his own life. Half was instigated by mami and half was a result of his mom's emotional blackmailing and his blind love for his mom coupled with his impulsive nature. RR and Vicky took full advantage and enjoyed life to the fullestPerception. Dev did mistakes. Vicky also did mistakes. Big deal. Dev is forgiven and he is super happy (😆) while poor Vicky is being tortured cos Dev gets his way and no one stands up to him.Reality- Dev always managed the company. Even when he was depressed, he had an eye on it and made sure it was running on profits. Vicky got into the company using his mom and Ishwari, used company funds for his own personal needs, sold the office space without Dev's consent, was involved in tax scams, stole the software etc. etc.Perception- Dev was depressed and ignored his life and family and company for 7 years while Vicky efficiently managed it all.Point is you can be good and do all the good in the world yet if you are short tempered and suck at perception management, you'l always be screwed in life. But you can suck, plot and plan yet if you know how to create the right impression, half the battle is won. I saw that back in the day with Sona and Ishwari. Sona was always the quiet one who selflessly cared for Dev yet it was Ishwari who got most of the credit cos she knew what to say and what tantrum to throw to get Dev to dance to her tunes. Bijoy is similar in the sense that he has the best of intentions yet he ends up saying the wrong stuff at times or impulsively does something so ppl just don notice his good intentions. History is repeating with Dev and Vicky now and its not surprising that everyone is feeling sorry for Vicky and forcing Dev to give in😆 Though I really do hate the fact that the writers glorify the perceived good rather than the actual good in characters and validate every wrong action out there in the name of love.
Absolutely right perception management is an art and Vicky has done that really well, as for Dev even though his intentions are always right the ways turn out to be wrong due to his impulsive nature thus giving a perception that he is always wrong, I don't know how the CVs are glorifying wrong actions, absolutely ridiculous.
