Sam, you said it all and I did read spoilers that Sonakshi is going leave Dev and IN saying that her "freedom" is more important to her. And Ishwari explaining to Dev where he went overboard. If we go by the parallels from season 1, then like Neha, Dev also may send "divorce notice" to Sonakshi saying "here you go. You want your independence, here it is. You are free to be what you want to be,independent of me or my love. Jaa jeele apni zindagi". Or maybe the other way around where Sonakshi files for divorce and Dev sends the "maanasik utpeedan" notice like Ranveer. Both the above options will be interesting cause Sonakshi will no longer be able write herself to be victim of circumstances nor will she be able to direct the blame towards someone else and say she was not wrong. She will have to take responsibility for both her decisions and actions irrespective of "intentions".

@Shaavi: I will be really angry with these two if they get all the way to divorce papers, and at their families if they let that happen. All they need is for Asha to lock them up in a room and tell them she will take Soha away if they don't play nice. Honestly, they are both being ridiculous.đĄ
Thanks everyone for your analysis after Friday, 07/28 episode. Everyone's reviews are so deeply thought of and well analyzed. There is so much to learn from each and every one of you. Thank you.
I am just confused about what is going on with these two characters: Dev and Sonakshi. Somehow, instead of making a general statement about a particular situation or episode, I always end up conversing with them.
I remembered a quote after watching and hearing Sonakshi yesterday:
"My mom was my role model before I even knew what that word was." ~ Lisa Leslie (American basketball player)
My daily dose of wisdom to Sonakshi:
"Sonakshi, you are your daughter's role model already. The day you became Soha's mother, you automatically became her role model. She will look up to you for each and every little experience in her life not just your career. And if you choose to continue your career, no one is really stopping you. Work from home, especially for working mothers, is very common in this day and age. I am a little confused on why you resent that idea so much? Is it only because it came from Dev and not you? I am saying this with my experience that kids do not look up to mothers just for how successful they are in their career. There are other measures also why your daughter looks up to you as her role model like being a good human being, loving mother, understanding wife, caring daughter, your own contentment with your life and so on... Your approach with balancing your life with different situations around different relationships will be the biggest influence your daughter will have from you and that will be your achievement - believe me! Otherwise it may end up hurting her more than helping."
As far as Dev, here are two quotes for him:
"Over possessive nature will kill your relationship, you can't call it love while true love has freedom and faith." ~Unknown
"Holding on to anything is like holding on to your breath. You will suffocate. The only way to get anything in the physical universe is by letting go of it. Let go and it will be yours forever." ~ Deepak Chopra
My daily dose of wisdom to Dev:
"Dev, there is no denial of immense love, trust and pride between you and Sonakshi. All you both need now is the understanding of each other's views and realization of the fact that everyone expresses their feeling differently. Holding on to her so tightly, that she can't even breathe, will only get you further away from her as she will feel suffocated. Have faith in her that she will take care of her as she promised you, give her freedom to flourish and you will see the results of your choice."
So I am not sure what both Dev and Sonakshi are thinking at present? What they are doing the best at present, in my eyes, is disagreeing, arguing and imposing their own views about what is best for their daughter and themselves; without realizing they are hurting Soha more than them being a role model for her. They quickly need to get their acts together and meet in the middle ground and resolve their disagreements, if not for themselves, definitely for their daughter, who they both love unconditionally, equally - without a doubt.
Same disclosure from my part: Above are only my views and not meant to hurt anyone. Please do not take them personally.
Wow!!!! The thread jumped 3 pages in the time I finished writing this post so need to catch up with it.
Have a blast this weekend and see you all invisibly after Monday's episode unless there is something "write worthy" prior to that.
Thanks.
