N what hurts more is that she was telling about her loneliness as a matter of fact thing. Her eyes were hollow but her voice didn't shake. Dev is just observing her and peeping in her last 7 years. Both of them need a lot of healing from each other.

It was so endearing to see their excitement knowing that both the families are putting in a conscious effort to break the barriers to be at least cordial with each other. Seeing Sona seated with her family in his home with all due respect and his mother trying her best to be the perfect host and welcoming them with all her heart made Dev so jubilant that he was glowing with happiness. Geena...how beautifully have you explained this one scene, which many of us just left it as a casual eye-talk. Hats off to you dear.

Now, I am waiting for your analysis on the last two episodes. Would want to know, why Sona who had gone in the opposite direction of Dev to hide, came back to be with Dev? 😊

Great discussion by everyone about Sonakshi's behavior and her being habituated to hide her internal feelings. I personally can connect to that aspect about her.

I see that Sonakshi always hoped that Dev understands her without she having to explicitly tell him about it just the way he understands his mother(that's her belief). When she fell in love and Dev was to get engaged to Natasha, she cried to Saurabh and said 'unhe kuch mehsoos hi nahi hota'...she expected him to know that she loves him without she expressing it to him. For everything else, she prefers transparency, but not for the matters of her heart.

She made efforts into understanding and accepting that for Dev, his mother will always come first...but I feel, in heart she constantly fought that feeling and never revealed it to Dev. How I wish Sonakshi would have let him know in some instances without showing so much of understanding...like on his birthday, she really felt terrible when he didn't turn up and she kept waiting...she suppressed those feelings and covered it up so that she shows to Ishwari and him that she understands.

For now she has accepted that no trust in their relationship led to their separation. I guess slowly the writers may show that she needs to express more and open up. She has been avoiding talking about the past 7 years to him.

Like Dev told her once...'help me to help you'...she has to give him the lead and he 'll do the rest just like she called out for him in yesterday's epi and he understood ...he didn't believe when she refused that she isn't scared...he continued and said don't be scared am here.

Dev has already begun his journey towards her, Sonakshi may start her steps too, so that they 'll meet somewhere mid-way.

@Narshi, I am thinking about Asha's comment to Ishwari yesterday. Asha said "mujhe kushi hai ki meri beti aapke kisi kaam aayi". Asha has seen her daughter hurt by Dev and his family. She was also there when she saw Bijoy getting slapped or when they were evicted. She has also seen the struggle her daughter has experienced in the last 7 years. Shouldn't she be upset with Ishwari. Yet she said the above dialogue to Ishwari. That is where I am trying to make sense of my understanding. Is Asha saying this because she realizes the hurt and pain caused by Sonakshi or is there some other reason for these words. What is Asha's thought process behind these words.

I feel that a person never stops learning. Each day we learn new things. I know that I ask questions regarding Sonakshi. It is my genuine attempt to understand her and in turn understand myself. Most of the time I wonder why I have these questions which the others don't seem to have. You, DQ, Sam, Geena etc are able to understand her so easily, but I fail to do so. At that time I ponder if there is something lacking in my understanding. And then I think maybe if I asked these questions, you guys who know Sonakshi so well probably will be able to explain her to me. That way I can understand myself better and grow to be a better person. That is my intention behind the questions. It is not intended to hurt anyone.

I have seen a little lot of RRs in my life. They are the kind of people whose tongue has that sharpness where one is left with 2 choices. One is to ignore them, the other is to behave like them and fight. If one starts fighting with them, one usually doesn't win. Cause they don't mind going low where one would not really want to go.

In the beginning of the series, RRs behavior towards the Dixit family was shown in detail. RR kind of respected Dev only because of his money. She doesn't have any real respect towards him. The moment he cuts them off from having access to his family's wealth, she will be a completely different person.

She had a soft spot for Neha cause I feel she saw herself similar to her. Like how Ishwari sidelined Neha, RR was sidelined by maamaji. Hence she recognized herself with Neha and treated her well. She also knew that Neha is one of Ishwari's trigger point where she could at times use Neha to rile up Ishwari. Like in the initial episode where RR instigates Neha to open the white cupboard in Dev's room. She didn't pay much attention to Rita or Nikki as they didn't really have much power with Ishwari.

Coming to Ishwari herself, RR was jealous of her. Not just for Dev, but also for who Ishwari is. Her strength, the respect she gets and ability to fight is something that RR admires, and envies at the same time. She also knows that Dev listens to her. For her to get anything Ishwari is the key. If she asks Dev directly for things, he wouldn't really give that to her. Post leap he might have been shown to gift GKB jewelry. But that once again is not because he loves her. It was more to do with his lifestyle at that time whe didn't care about himself.

The only person in Dixit house whom she fears is Ishwari. Dev will not throw her out of the house. But Ishwari wouldn't think twice before doing that. In one of the episode, GKB does something to the water supply to her house and lands in IN. Dev gets it fixed, but doesn't tell them that they need to leave IN. It is Ishwari who does that. During Sonakshi's fake pregnancy track too in her moment of clarity, it is Ishwari who tells GKB she can leave if she doesn't follow what she is saying. GKB knows very well that IN is not her house nor she is the head of the house.

In the episode where Dev convinces Sonakshi to come back as nutritionist after the 5hr cafe wait, when he comes back to say that he has convinced Sonakshi to come back, there is a nice conversation. At that time Dev says that he has forced Sonakshi to accept the job again. Don't do or say anything that would make me lose my respect and reputation. But that doesn't really stop GKB from taunting Sonakshi. The phone breaking and GKB stealing money scenes were soon after. But since Ishwari didn't side with GKB, the latter couldn't do much damage. But at the same time since Sonakshi was still just an employee and not a family member as considered by Ishwari, GKB continued to taunt Sonakshi.

Saying "she is like family", to saying "she is family" is 2 different things. Dev considered Sonakshi as part of the family, but Ishwari didn't. As long as the later didn't happen, GKB could get away with taunting or even hurting Sonakshi. Although Dev was a business tycoon, the family head of Dixits is Ishwari. What goes in the house is decided by her, not by Dev himself. That is the main reason why GKB did not want Ishwari Sonakshi bond to happen.

The moment Ishwari openly says "Sonakshi is family. Anyone who dares say anything against her respect are answerable to me", GKB will know that her game is up. The reason why she is in such a state is because she is realizing that her drama is coming to an end. GKB is now trying really hard to keep her influence on Ishwari. But Ishwari showing GKB the door is not far. That is what I meant when I said that Sonakshi will come as Ishwari's DIL before coming as Dev's wife.
