@shaavi... i applaud your write up on ishwari and trying to understand her better through your post..

But how much ever try i cannot find any justification for ishwari's possessiveness tht dev should not address anyone other than her as maa. This doesnt come under the ' protecting my son' factor.. From where does such a thought stems from?... If possible can u explain this trait of her please.

I agree with you Havish but for me what was more disturbing was both ish & devs attitude during the infertility track. It's hard for me to get over that as a woman & as a mother of a daughter!

That's why I cannot connect much to dev & sona now. That's also probably why I don't have a problem with bijoys attitude.

Okay so after watching the last two episodes I don't feel a real change in Sona. Its definitely good that she was able to say 'no' to Dev. But again it felt like she is using the excuse of it not being right for Soha instead of owning her issues. She is angry with Dev for making her feel like a "bad" guy because she had to say no to him for Soha's sake. Instead of just being able to say that she doesn't want to go back to what they had. If she truly had changed, I feel, she wouldn't have been angry with Dev.. she just would've been honest about her feelings and left Soha out of it. Because their primary issues are not about Soha. Unfortunately that is part of the rescuer personality that every decision has to be framed as for the good of someone else (even when its mostly self serving). Its almost like how Ishwari always frames her action as what's best for Dev even if in actuality its in her best interests.

What I am glad though is that even though Sona tried to make Dev feel guilty in order to not deal with her guilt for not 'pleasing' Dev... Dev held his ground. He didn't apologize for his emotions but also didn't feel the need to desperately push the matter. In my view Dev needs to learn that he doesn't "need" Ishwari and Sona to hold him up emotionally. That he is capable of looking after his own emotional needs. And both Sona and Ishwari also need to understand the same. They need to treat him as an independent adult. The problem I am seeing now is that they are both still infantilizing him.

Sona's first response here in that Khatri story is to hide things from Dev... why? Because he won't be able to handle it? Even if that is true... and that is reality.. then that's something Dev has to deal with. Sona cannot protect Dev from himself forever.. particularly when she is not planning getting re-involved with him. She has to let him deal with his issues for good or for bad.

Helping someone should be about teaching people to empower themselves .. not push them on a path that leaves them dependent on you.

Sona tells Dev.. the she doesn't think he can handle Khatri. She asks her to trust him.. and he does. But that has always been the case between them. Problem is that she never trusts him in enough to let him handle issues that directly pertain to him. If she was going to lie Khatri anyways.. why lie to Dev about it? Why not keep him in the loop? Why is Jatin involved and not Dev? She also hides GKB's actions from Dev? To me this is again Sona from S1-- even though she says she is different. She is still not keeping clear boundaries of what she should and should not be involved in.

If Dev had gone with Sonakshi and screwed up with Khatri.. then that is Dev's responsibility to deal with it. That should be a lesson for Dev to keep control of his emotions. I don't believe that Dev doesn't have the capacity to do that.

Preeti after a looong time haan🤗. The scenario u mentioned though pricks us as a woman... i can validate ishwari based on shaavi's post tht ishwari thought sonakshi was the catalyst in hiding or pushed dev to hide her condition. But it is difficult for me to understand her possessiveness.

Even in todays episode whn dev says 'sab kuch pehle jaisa ho jayega'... there was utter horror in her ishwari's face. Even if we can discount it as her insecurity the amount of terror in her face doesnt feel like 'protection'.. only 'possessiveness' on her son.

Unlike you Havish I don't have a problem with ishs character she remains the same even post leap. It's sona & dev I have a problem with. Today was also about major trust issues from both sides. What is love without trust. Also the shrewd businessman has been dumbed down to a sniveling guy & the FL is now trying again for the crown of best bahu!

Hiloo pretty ladies😊...all gud?????...happy to see everyone in the thread...I must have missed 2 or 3 threads...was on a ONLY GIRLS😳 short holiday...so was busy planning, then the holidays and now reminiscing...however even on the busy days, late night I crashed on the bed but didn't miss the episodes to the total dismay of others...pagol me...I need to re-watch all the episodes as I wasn't concentrating...you guys have a great weekend and my love and jappi to all🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
