Yup. nods head vigorously in agreement.

To be fair on Sona, I'd say she did voice her concerns regarding bad treatment. She did voice her concerns a bit over un fairness. But Dev either shushed her or disregarded her. Case in point was her huge tantrum when she left a post it that she feels like an outsider at his house. she actually asked for very little assuming it to be a start , but Dev could not even handle that.
then the Aunty issue, I'd say even though Dev started calling Asha as 'Ma', he had already detached himself from her.

You are right in that these characters are totally in the hands of the CVs who make them. how we perceive them is up to us right? up to our experiences?

More comments inline.

i think she expected love ,support and understanding her and he did many times.
1. He let Bose family put non veg in their menu knowing his family is pure veg .in there he went against ishu and supported sona.

Of course it was kind and thoughtful of Dev. Was it necessary though? At the end the cost of it was his own mother was so unhappy at his wedding. Should Sona be grateful or embarrassed? She would be grateful to Dev for the thought but the consequence was embarrassment. Did she need that on her wedding day?

2. sona kept vrat with out informing him. but he thinks his mother forced sona she went to ishu and asked her why the forcing his wife and when sona said it's her wish what ever she wanted to do he accepted and supported her

Like Sona said he wasn't around. What is she supposed to tell Ishwari, let me ask my husband if I can fast and then I'll come back to you? Dev always put his mother first and that is absolutely right. Why shouldn't Sona put his mother first? Shouldn't that have pleased him? Didn't she prove that she would go any length to keep his mother happy?

Dev rushing to his mother - again should Sona be embarrassed or grateful? It is an unexplicable feeling for a woman when she know her lover wants her but to be publicly (anything outside your bedroom is public in a marriage) ridiculed is an embarrassment she did not need.

3. regarding vicky job issue sona suggested something and he thinks it's fair and understand her but his mother make him guilty and reminded him what his mamaji did for their family. if mamaji didn't helped maybe dixit family would not be here.so bound to debt to mamaji he ignored sona suggestion and give Vicky higher position. can we blame Dev for this

Dev is not to be blamed here. As husband and wife they discussed and made a decision but it will remain a fact that it is Dev's business and Dev knows his family best. So he did the right thing.

4. She went back and with out informing Dev she went to ranveer house to talk to ranveer bhabhi and it bought ranveer to dixit house,he insulted dixit family and sona and that time Dev supported her saying he understand her and her intention was not wrong.

She had the right intentions. Dixits dynamics is different. Yes, Dev supported her.

5 . She hide Vicky Elena love affair. if it another guy then she need not inform her husband because it's her sister personal matter. but here her husband brother involved buy she thinks she will handle it and hide it and the result Vicky Elena eloped. and Dev didn't asked why she hide and why she didn't share it with him. instead he understand her and supported her.

Again, she never told anyone about Vicky and her interactions either. She should have discussed Vicky and Elena with Dev.

6. she started business with her brother and it was huge thing and she didn't bother to share with her husband. she didn't need to take permission from him but when you start new business or something we generally informs our husbands.maybe she thinks that if he knows that he will insist to invest and she don't want his help but the same thing she could say him that. if he insist she can deny it. i don't think dev will force her take his money. she didn't inform him and he gets to know about some other person and he didn't angary with her .he understand her and supported her business.

How do we know she didn't disclose this to Dev and he accepted that generously? We didn't see proof either way so I would just say its safe to say they did discuss.

there is lot of times he supported her ,understand her, and stand up for her. but sadly because of some mistakes of him over shadowed his good things.

Things which are not in this list:

Sona leaving her engagement to help Dev.
Dev keeping Sona's medical report a secret.
Dev cancelling honeymoon without discussing with Sona.
Dev letting Sona know she can do any changes to the room and then not being open with her about the swing being an hindrance.
Sona insisting Dev organises his clothes himself.
Dev investing in Sona's business without telling his mother. Not telling Sona is fine because when she knew she understood but he should have protected her and her family from his mother. They didn't deserve that!

His mistakes did overshadow his good things and that is unfortunate. As someone not directly affected by it he has my empathy but if I were in Sona's shoes would I empathise with him? Not unless he defended me in public. Not unless when the money issue came up if he stood up and said " whats wrong in me helping Saurabh?"

And i believe that cvs always shows Dev small mistakes in big way and brush off sona big mistakes like they are nothing.
Again, these are fictional characters and one twist of a sentence or another day Dev can be right and Sona can be in the wrong :-)

How do two people who break promises left, right and centre (prominent one being - ab hum kabhi nahi ladenge), produce a child who is mortified of inadvertently breaking a promise she made to her mother? I had to watch the episode with a box of tissues...

Sonakshi dear, just because she told you she doesn't want to talk to you, don't take her word for it... please nudge her. Ask her why is she not eating? Why is she so quiet? Tell her, dida mentioned you met your dad today. Dont wait for her please

Dev, so you did take our advice of staying away from Soha initially and taking it easy... muah! Just take it easy fella... Talk to her mother and sort this amicably

I can enjoy my weekend and the amazing analyses that follow...

Kuch rang papa-mumma ke aise bhi...

I really don't want to see Soha in this condition she is just to little to carry such a heavy responsibility on her shoulders the fear of hurting her mother the fear of breaking her promise to her mother .
I would have like it had Sonakshi said to Soha I know your papa met you tell me how you felt something along the lines where Soha could open up
but instead Sona refused to nudge her daughter knowing the child is in a ugly dilemma she does not know how to move forward from this point
but on seeing her mother enter the room she quickly pretends to be doing her homework which means this little girl will soon have so much of bottled up emotions
I'm hoping soon Sona tries really hard to talk to Soha and get her to open up

the precap - did you'll notice when Bijoy said to keep Soha away from the Dixits Sonakshi actually looked annoyed

I would sum your analysis in a very simple way. Ishwari only thinks about Dev and now Suhana. Sonakshi is least important for her. That's her character which has been shown ever since she realised that Dev loves Sonakshi. Ishwari has to change and the question is how? The viewers know what happened pre-leap so why argue on those points. Let's look ahead. Dev has realised to a large extent that Ishwari is responsible for the mess in his life. Can he throw her out? If he walks out and she kills herself, he would be living with the guilt all his life!! Where does he find happiness! At least Sonakshi is better off with a family in tow. If Ishwari realises her mistakes, Dev gets redeemed!!! If not, Dev would choose to live alone with his mother, till God decides otherwise.

24th February, 2017 - Friday

Today's episode had the Lord Shiva in a central theme where Dev acknowledged that he had a tiff with God and God gave him what he wanted. On the occasion of MahaShivratri today, when Hindus celebrate and offer their blessings to Mahadev, this scene which actually credits a miracle to God, has been written beautifully. The pre-cap again has Ishwari begging the Lord and then when she faints, a small hand is her saviour - Little Suhana!

Children are considered to be God's gift. Here, Suhana has come along to probably ensure that Ishwari realises her mistakes. The confession from Ishwari to Dev about Sonakshi being turned out from Dixit Mansion did not have an iota of guilt. She did it for Dev's happiness. That's all. She expected Dev to run and get Suhana home, but Dev has understood all. Even Mamaji's retort that Ishwari is at fault didn't seem to rattle her. When Dev finally said that for his daughters happiness, if he has to sacrifice his love and live his life w/out seeing her, he would do it. He would be happy that she has come in close proximity to him. Ishwari looked baffled and that's the difference between her and her beloved son. She chokes him with her love but he believes in setting his love free. It's time for Ishwari to realise her mistakes. 😊

Sonakshi was back to her old character, strong yet calm and subdued. She poured her heart out and begged Dev to think about Suhana. Obviously, she was talking about custody. Dev was a torn man who felt cheated by his own God, his mother. This was a beautiful scene.

Suhana was silent, in her room, all by herself. She felt sorry about not being able to keep a promise, w/out knowing that Sonakshi is aware of the truth. It was a touching moment where Sonakshi was waiting for Suhana to confide in her. But the moment never came.

The script is cruising along though I would have felt better if Sonakshi had asked Suhana about Dev herself. Why wait for the 6 year old to confess? Did she steal anything? Suhana would have blurted out everything if she realised that her mother would not scold her for meeting BigCha/Pappa in private? Is this one of Boses principles!!!

The pre-cap was interesting because pre-leap, Sonakshi helps a fainting Ishwari and post-leap its Suhana. The Lord's way of telling Ishwari, that Sonakshi-Suhana are part of her life - forever.

Next week would be interesting.

There is only one person who can change Ishwari and that is Dev... i have been saying this all along... Ishwari is like a 5 yr kid who keeps throwing tantrums and Dev is like that Parent who just keeps yielding... If Ishwari has to change, then Dev has to change his approach... positive reinforcement is the solution...

Dev has to draw the lines that Ishwari can and can not cross... for example he could have done it when she lied that Sona is getting married last week and he could have done it again today when she accepted that she sent Sona away.
HE needs to tell her that She can not make decisions for her adult son... that right is reserved by him alone and he also needs to make sure that she understands that she cant keep lying to him and say it is for his own good... He should make it clear that he doesnt appreciate it now and he would not appreciate it in future.

since he didnt act in these two instances when Ishwari lied and made it clear... ishwari is going to repeat the same thing again... mark my words... she is going to initiate custody case against sonakshi on behalf of Dev ( again trying to find the happiness for her son)...it will continue...

I am not asking Dev to move out or leave ishwari /... but he needs to make sure he makes it clear that she cant not make decisions for him or on his behalf. I am sure she wont try to kill herslf for this. If he finds that she is suicidal then he needs to get her psychiatrist and help her with proper counseling.

inaddition to this , Dev should also stop doing the same thing in the name of love and protecting loved ones - stop lying period and work it out with the person and do the right thing.

if nothing works ... he should just give up all other relationships and just spend the rest of the time with his mother - with out blaming others for his condition.

I see that I have a lot to catch-up in this thread (and in the forum too), but for now I'll post what I felt after today's episode.

I really felt bad for both Dev and Sona today. The guy is surrounded by backstabbers in his own house, and Sona had to go through so much for no mistake of hers. (Well, she did lose her patience in the end because of his behavior. Any girl in her shoes would have.)

When Sonakshi revealed that she did attempt to make 6 month old Suhana meet Dev, he was literally shocked. Somewhere he knew it was truth, because he knew how much Sona valued truth, but he didn't want to believe it. Because it would mean his mother lied to him again, and this truth and its implications in the present, would hurt him like hell. In that instant, Mr. Obhodro became Mr. Khargosh, running away from truth by claiming it is a lie.

Sadly, Sona took it at face value, again, and she was deeply hurt that Dev did not have an iota of trust in her words. She knew he would question and so she kept the proof, but when it actually happened it hurt a lot. Adding to this, Dev's words yesterday (at the end of the episode) that he doesn't want to be part of Sona's life but only Suhana's also cannot be trusted, because this guy was so inquisitive when he heard Sona has got a "Suraj" and even more jealous when thought it may be Jatin.

And hats off to Ishwari! *sarcasm*😆 How incessantly she claimed to her son "Usne kabhi bhi mudh ke nahi dekha" and then conveniently claimed later "Tujhe kisne bataya Sonakshi aayi thi, mai to bhool hi gayi thi".

Okay, I should stop talking about her or my BP would shoot up unnecessarily. 😆

Dev verified the truth, or rather nudged to verify the truth by Sona; and it broke him. I felt somewhere Sona could feel Dev's hurt, she is very emphatic by nature and somewhere she still loved Dev (as we witness its glimpses in Dev's accident scenes). It is so difficult for her to see both Soha and Dev in such broken states, and she herself is confused and disturbed, and needs someone's support. I wish Jatin plays the real best friend role now, in her difficult time with right advice and guidance.😊

By the way, with this Sona exposed Ishwari's lies twice in front of Dev.🥳😈

Sona is still Dev's punching bag, after all these 7 years. Knowing that Sona is an emotionally strong person, the guy doesn't shy back from baring all his frustrations and 'hatred' for her (justified or unjustified), that how 'berehem' she is to keep a father-daughter duo separated. The poor guy (😆) has no idea that even iron is a malleable metal, it is not going to sustain too much strain and bend. Sona reply really melted my heart, how she had wished her daughter to get love of both her parents. I wish she asked Dev why he never came to look for her, after all he knew they went away homeless.

For Ishwari's behavior, Dev can only blame his fate for giving him a mother with such extreme insecurities!😆

I am happy that Ishwari at least admitted the truth, or Sona would have become a liar in front of Dev. I am also happy that Dev took a stand for his daughter, but I would have been happier if he appreciated Sona's struggle through a difficult pregnancy and raising a child so well as a single mother. Nonetheless, we saw yesterday Dev declaring proudly that Suhana is just like Sona.

But Suhana is just like Dev; her care for Sona is very parallel to Dev's for Ishwari. She opened up to Asha about meeting her dad but not to her own mother. That makes me think that probably she is closer to her Dida than her mother and hence addresses her by her name - Asha. Sona should have asked her directly. But Sona didn't so that because then perhaps Soha would put filters while talking with Asha also, which she did not want.

It is interesting that Ishwari is wearing orange sarees nowadays, does it signify anything?😉😛 Dev was wearing orange jacket, riding orange bike and with return of Sona he has become 'Greys-Blues-and-Blacks' again, and so has Sona to some extent.

Does anybody else feel that CVs are avoiding the pre-nup to avoid custody battle? Or will Bijoy use it later to protect Soha from Dev shocking Sona as well?

I cannot stop thinking about Soha. She is a copy of Dev when it comes to hiding pain from their mothers. The Miss Bose who managed to get The Dev Dixit to open up to her, couldn't get miss suhana Bose to open up. Why do I think Golu or Dev will be the ones to get her to open up. And like Papa, suhana also hides behind work when she can't handle people and emotions. Aww. I can't stop choking up thinking about her.

No she cannot because once you are perfect, sensitive and understanding, you always have to be perfect, sensitive and understanding. That is what is happening with Sona in here.
And once you are impulsive, vulnerable, immature, insensitive - then you need a guardian like Sona to always hold you together. What a fine balance no?
And then we say that marriage is a partnership where you complement each other!
