Ishwari's dialog about children are like marble and she can sculpt the marble makes a dangerous connotation. We know what an expert she is in this game. She has been moulding her son and now wants to mould Soha. What would happen to Sona, I wonder.

I am waiting for Dev's reaction when it gets disclosed tomorrow that Ishwari was the one who refused Sona an entry to Dixit mansion. Will he do something or will it be swept under the carpet just like the signed prenup document.

I so want Dev to change .. not the jeans but the dependent genes! Fingers crossed.

agree with you dear...Yes Dev now knows that his mother is a manipulator...she has sabotaged his married life...he is a smart guy so he knows, he is surrounded by enemies in his own household...now what? what he can do? can he throw his mother out from the house? will she allow him to throw GKB and party from the house? sometimes our hands are tied and we will be under self-imposed constraints...only thing you can do is let the other person change if not bear the all the brunt by yourself...this is exactly what CVs are showing...in real life it's very difficult to take bold decisions even if you know you are correct...because sometime as the time change what you felt correct would become the most foolish decision you have taken...as it is said time heals the wounds, he is waiting for his mother to change...if that doesn't happen he will bury himself in his own sorrows...does that make him a weak person? a big NO... showing compassion to others at the expense of your own happiness is actually the greatest virtue of mankind...only a few possess this quality that's why they are always ridiculed...

Geena Dev did not check about his wife, that is another point of discussion. Here what I want to say is since she made up her mind to let her baby meet Dev she should have done it in such a way that helped her achieve her purpose. If she believed what she was told she should have checked the fact personally with Dev since she knew the way Iswari GKB and Vicky manipulate and change the facts. I appreciate her decision to come with the baby but I felt she should have done it in another way.

What Dev always wanted from Sonakshi was for her to reciprocate the relationship, the want to be with him same as he is. He wanted her to fight for him as he does for her. What I mean to say is not that Sonakshi did not try or give a lot for the relationship.

In the first episodes of the series she fights with him regarding the job opportunity he gives, but then joins saying she came there for his mom. Then in the episode just before the holi episode, Ishwari eats oily food and gets sick. Dev blames Sonakshi and tells her how could she let his mom eat that and also says you should have found a way. She retorts saying I did not come to you to ask for this job and if you think someone else is better than me, hire them. But after the holi episode, she returns back by herself saying she does not like to leave her job unfinished. He remarks that "good, at least you are dedicated towards your job".

This is what Dev was expecting Sonakshi to do in their relationship. Not give up. Fight for it. Give all of her as she did with her job. Show him his mistakes, and stay with him. When he said leave, he expected her to ask why. For him it was one more of their arguments. He thought that Sonakshi understood him and knew him. From his perspective she should not have just taken his words at face value just like how she did with her job as nutritionist. When he wanted to hire her, that was one of the things that Dr. Sinha tells about her to Dev, that she makes even sense he worst case of patient to follow diet. Dev wanted her to show the same tenacity towards their relationship.

He had seen Sonakshi wait in the parking lot and fight with her patient to make him follow the diet. Argue with him in public. He wanted this attitude from her(not the public fighting part, but once again being dedicated towards him come what may).

After Neha's marriage when he talks to her on the phone, he tells her he does not need to use filters with her and that he could say anything that came to mind. And she was the only person with whom he could do that. Dev thought Sonakshi understood that about him.

This is what Dev was expecting from her, to show him his place, for her to excercise her right and say "how dare you, I am not going anywhere". From his perspective if she could do all those things for her patients, find ways to get them to follow diet, make his mom who is stubborn to follow the diet, why didn't she do that to make the relationship work. Why she did not find ways to reach him.

Hope I made sense. 😃

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, compassion is good but here because of his compassion towards his family his actual family(wife and daughter) is suffering. He is failing as family man.

PS.In the dictionary, the definition of a family man :A man devoted to taking care of his wife and children.

He has suffered a lot because of this. My question is how long does he have to suffer?

You nailed it Geena. Why should the woman be expected to keep her promise and fulfill all her duties, if her male counterpart didn't?

agneepariksha hamesha sita hi kyun de?

I read about a country (don't want to name it) where the ratio of a weightage of a man's and woman's evidence in court is 2:1.

In our so called modern setup also, it seems a man's mistakes have half weightage as compared to a woman. Even if I agree that Sona was egotistical, if Dev is entitled to be egoistic and selfish why can't Sona be? If Dev can keep his family above his relationship with his wife, why can't Sona do the same.

If Dev can disregard his wife's happiness for the sake of his mother and mami why can't Sona disregard her husband and daughters happiness for her own sake?

Why should a woman always be selfless and forgiving? Why can't she just be human like her husband? Why an Indra gets away with minor punishment and a Gautami gets turned to stone?

Yes, Laxmi I understood what you meant. But just like the two sides of a coin we have to consider what drove her toward this half hearted attempt. I would say we are asking too much from her.

Also I think Soha bears her heart only to Sona. Soha would not have just said what happened but there were so many questions that she might have asked and Sona knew that. She was not prepared to answer those and Sona would have wanted a heart to heart talk with her. For that she needed to know where Dev stand. Because Sona would have to answer on his behalf. Don't take into account what she said to her father. Because she was speaking only what he wanted to hear. She knew Dev is impulsive and had to make him stop from making anymore moves because of Soha. She knew she had wronged both her daughter and Dev and wanted to sort the mess before it gets uglier. If she had not gone and if Ishwari got involved the whole thing would have gotten out of hand. She knew she would be able to deal with Dev but not his family. It was damage control but something that she could have avoided if she had taken action earlier.

Geena once again a wonderful analysis and your understanding of Sonakshi is amazing. 👏 . When I read your posts everything makes sense so easily where there was confusion before. Please keep writing 😊

Now, I can't agree with this. In each country the definition of family is different and the definition of England can not be applied verbatim to India. In India family includes parents, brothers, sisters their family etc etc.

The key word is balance and prioritisation. Letting every relationship know it's limits and boundaries and not letting anyone cross it

Shaavi wonderful analysis on Dev's expectations regarding Sonakshi. Exactly Dev must have felt that way. How nicely you explained by giving examples from the past where Sonakshi fought and protested. Like you said she should have asked him why she should leave. Dev expected that. He was shocked when she took his words on face value and left. His anger, his outbursts, his sarcasm everything is the result of his hurt, pain caused by her decision to leave him.

Always liked your posts. Waiting to read more.

Yes they should have supported each other. The support level may not be the same. Normally a stronger person has dominant role in the share of support. And Sonaskhi, being the stronger person always supported Dev. She supported in Honeymoon fiasco, birthday fiasco, Vicky fiasco. But when it came to infertility thing, she no longer was the strong person because of her inability to conceive. She was just a shadow of her former confident self, when she asked if the fertility doesn't produce the result, then what. This one time she was asking Dev's support. She had some hope, some expectation from Dev. And we all know how Dev miserably failed. In giving his mother importance he reduced his wife to an emotional wreck. And of course then 5cr bungle happened, cheat/thief, slap and what not. Do you think she would have still wanted to fight for this kind of marriage?
